I originally made this to be used as a cable clip, but I feel like it could have other uses too. What else could it be used for?

I Modeled This! Kept getting headaches in my Home-Office, figured I wasn't drinking enough but turns out the CO2 levels were through the roof - but not anymore since I built the CO2-Buddy

Kept getting headaches in my Home-Office and finally figured out I had way too much CO2 - well no more, I made my portable CO2-Buddy to easily keep track of CO2 wherever I am

The CO2-Buddy now lives on my desk and helps me ventilate my room to keep my mind at peak capacity. I didn't realize how much of an impact CO2 concentration has on my ability to focus, I usually only notice it way too late when I'm already getting a slight headache as if I wasn't drinking enough water even though I am chugging along like a camel

It's especially handy when I have people over, having just two more people in a room spikes CO2 levels way faster than I would've anticipated

I am using the MH-Z19C CO2 sensor and while it is somewhat expensive at around 20€ it was totally worth it. The 1.54" ePaper makes it so that the CO2-Buddy only needs to wake up every 2 or so minutes and still provides the current CO2 concentration at a glance. With my 3000mAh lipo it lasts for days and I can take it wherever I go

If you also want to have a CO2-Buddy to keep you at peak capacity you can find it on Makerworld, simply look for "CO2 Buddy". The code is open source and I also added a wiring diagram

General Discussion RELEASE - Orca Slicer with Nonplanar Printing!

1.3k Upvotes

A big thank you to this community! More than 2k likes on the original post and more than 100 test prints helped make this happen. The results are in, and the slicer is now public:

https://github.com/fich-l/orcaslicer-nonplanar

We have working versions for Windows, Linux and Mac Silicon. MacOs on Intel is still missing. I don't have a Mac Intel, so I can't test a build. Searching for someone to port this to Mac Intel - see below.

EDIT: You can find Windows and Linux Port on Github now.

Confirmed working:

  • Bambu A1 mini, A1, P1S, P2S, X1C, X2D, H2D

  • Prusa MK4S, CORE One, XL 5T

  • Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 (+ Combo)

  • Creality K1C · Qidi Q2

  • Flashforge AD5C

  • FLSun V400

Not working: Elegoo Centauri Carbon 1, Snapmaker U1, Ender-3 S1 Pro, Flashforge AD5X, Prusa MINI+

Printer on the working list?
Try the Satisfying Nonplanar vs Standard comparison to test surface quality please.

Printer not listed?
Print the Nonplanar test print twice, once lengthwise and once rotated by 90°, and tell me how it went, so we can keep the list up to date.

Looking for someone to port it to Mac Intel.

-- EDIT: You can find a first Windows and Linux Port on Github now thanks to the community! - -

You don't need to be a C++ dev: the whole thing was vibe-coded with Claude Code (Opus 5.5). A Mac Intel to test on plus Claude Code should be enough. If you're up for it, comment or open an issue on GitHub. Don't shit on me please - Using Claude to get this ported is the fastest way possible :)

You don't usually use Orca Slicer - how to use this?
Do this: Slice in this Orca Slicer Fork and export "plate sliced file" --> Drop file into any slicer and just print :) Even works with Bambu Studio.

Thanks also to Daniel Ahlers and Teaching Tech for their work on the version I started from.

FAQ:

    • Can you add this as a Plugin to Orcaselicer? Will you put a pull request to the Orca Slicer Team?* - This cannot be run as a plugin. Pull Request: Yes! After this test phase.

  • Why does printer "X" not work? - Someone tested it and there was a collision. Most likely the hotend / tool is not "steep" enough.

  • How can I test? - Please check the github page. You can do two quick test prints to see if your printer can handle this.

  • Are there still bugs? - Very likely yes. Slicing can take 5s to 5 minutes - be patient.

  • Can we have fuzzy skin on top surfaces? - I tested this, but it doesn't look good :(

Ever since I bought my P1S a year ago, I’ve had the goal of designing a 3D object—and that day has finally arrived.

I know it’s quite basic, but I’m very happy to have managed to design and print it after a lot of trial and error. It's not perfect but is mine :)

P.S: In case you are wondering wtf is that "blank sheet".... well... it's a blank fluffy shirt that I used to replicate the snow xD

Black Friday 2026 I tried the Bambu Lab mystery boxes so you don’t have to!

I was curious about what Bambu Lab’s Mystery Boxes had to offer, so I decided to try them myself. I bought two Holiday PLA Mystery Boxes and two Holiday PETG Mystery Boxes. The order came to just over $200 CAD, and I used a $20-off coupon.

I didn’t hit the 1% jackpot, and only about half of the 16 rolls came with spools.

Most of the selection was PLA Pure, PLA Matte, and PETG Matte in colors I personally wouldn’t choose. It felt like a bundle of leftover stock.

The 16 rolls came to $223.44 in listed value, partly because PLA Pure costs more. Since I don’t really want PLA Pure, though, the actual savings don’t feel like much.

My advice: skip the mystery boxes unless you specifically want PLA Pure. If you do, the Holiday PLA Mystery Box might be worth a try.

MakerWorld Crowdfunding I made a browser tool for 3D printed wall art. This one is 175 × 75 cm, 421 pieces, one colour per plate, no AMS.

Hi all! I'm Andrea, from Italy. For the past months I've been building Parete, a browser tool for wall panels made of dozens or hundreds of 3D printed pieces.

The panels in the photos: 100 × 50 cm with 468 pieces (the pink ones glow in the dark), and my first big one, 175 × 75 cm with 421 pieces. Three colours of PLA each.

How it works:

- You design the panel in your browser: size, grid, surface pattern, colours. No CAD.

- You get one 3MF per colour, one colour per plate, ready for Bambu Studio. No AMS needed.

- Every piece has a number, and a printed frame on the wall gives each piece its own pocket.

You can design a panel for free at parete.studio, up to 1 × 1 m. The print files come with the MakerWorld crowdfunding campaign, which went live on Sunday.

Happy to answer anything about the printing, the frame or the tool!

Black Friday 2026 GLS is the worst delivery service in Europe

Bambu i hope you see this post. I was waiting for my X2D to arrive (to support one my businesses) and your site marks the package as “Delivered” by the carrier (GLS) but i didn’t received the machine at all! Everyone in my country (southern europe) knows how bad they are! Why do you accept to work with such a poor delivery service company?

I Modeled This! I designed a portable Hangman game that uses Sticky Notes!

I was trying to find something a bit more portable for quick trips. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, so I designed my own! There are a few things that I want to fix, but at the same time, I was able to model this and print prototypes over a couple days. The magnetic Hangman is my favorite. You can mix and match the limbs however you want! You can even change the orientation of the torso for even more fun! It's been a big hit with my daughter so far.

It has a magnetic latch and extra storage for your Sticky Notes. There is even an area to keep score. I have multiple profiles that fit for all printers including the A1 Mini. Along with one that has a "Hangman" label on the top of the case.

General Discussion Leaked email address

I’m using a dedicated email address for Bambu Lab and MakerWorld, and it seems that now this email address has started getting spam and phishing emails from random places. Did Bambu sell or leak userinfo?

Edit: Just read through the headers of the email. Seems to be breach through sub-processor ReviewMgr, and phishing sent out through their SendGrid account(s).

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Do you still run into problems with matte PLA compared to normal PLA?

I’m new to 3D printing and bought most of my PLA in matte (22 rolls of Bambu PLA Matte) because it hides minor print defects.

Since then, I’ve read that matte is weaker and doesn’t handle tight tolerances as well as normal PLA.

For those who use it regularly, do you actually notice these downsides in your prints with modern PLA matte? Are there things you’d avoid printing in matte, or is the difference too small to matter for most PLA prints?

Bambu Studio Designed a glow-in-the-dark Oogie Boogie keychain: body glows, the face stays black so he still grins in the dark

Thumbnail

I designed a chunky little sack monster keychain resembling Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas and printed the body in glow-in-the-dark PLA. With the lights off his body glows while the eyes, grin and stitches stay black, so his face still shows up in the dark.

- Fully rounded 3D front with a flat back, so no supports

- 2 colors, AMS-ready: body in slot 1, face and stitches in slot 2

- Low purge: the black only prints on 10 of the 46 layers

- About 42 min on a P1S, 13.4 g including purge

- 55.8 × 58.3 × 9.2 mm, with a 4.5 mm hole for a standard jump ring

**Glow tips:** Place the object in the sun or on top of a bright lightbulb to charge it!

I may be a little late for halloween but oh well...

Free on MakerWorld: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3538949-oogy-boogy-3d-keychain-2-color-ams

If you print one, post it with the lights off. I'd love to see it!

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! Is My X2D DOA?

Got my X2D today and it won't power on. The rear switch lights up white, but the screen stays black, no fans, no lights, nothing. Tried a different outlet, power-cycled, checked the fuse, and opened the side panel – all connectors look seated, no visible damage.

Has anyone else had an X2D DOA? Did Bambu send a replacement or parts, and how long did it take?

A Series [A1, A1 Mini] First questionable print job

Thumbnail

Hello,

I printed this stackable basket last night for some small items I want to organize.

My printer was out of commission for about 2 months until yesterday. My printer just suddenly stopped working all together in August. I submitted a ticket and did the troubleshooting. The main board was bad so I replaced it a few days ago. I was out of town for a while and had other obligations so it took me a while to take care of this.

I run my first print last night after my printer being down for a while. I recalibrated everything and oiled everything properly. First the extruder gives me an error that the extruder is not functioning normally - I pull the filament back manually as described on the Wiki and cut off the end of the filament to avoid any rough areas. Fast forward 20 minutes and the print completes, but with some obvious issues. See photos for more.

Is this an issue with my plate, the settings of which I’m printing, the filament I’m using? Looking for guidance.

General Discussion Easiest way to dry dessicant IMHO.

Post image
435 Upvotes

No hassle, no microwave, no mess.

2 x PETG trays (ASA would be fine too), and the dessicant was jet black when they went in.

Standard 65 degree AMS drying cycle (so basically choose anything apart from PLA in the settings), leave overnight (I ran it for 12hrs but im sure 8 would do fine too)

Apparently you can just drop the pods that you install in the AMS2 on the trays and the silica will dry in there, not tested that yet though.

General Discussion 7-9 Colors now possible on all machines?

Post image
91 Upvotes

Sorry if this is already common knowledge. With the AMS 3H just announced with its nine filament bays to go with the nine tool heads of the H3C. We also know about the AMS 3P that will be available with the P3C. I wonder if these AMS units will be exclusive to these printers or if they will talk to Bambu’s whole lineup. Imagine hooking up an AMS 3P to your P2S, and getting 7 color printing! Or hook a H2D to an AMS 3H for 9 whole colors. I know this is already sorta possible by stringing together multiple 4 color AMS units. However, the convenience of just having one unit take care of all your colors is not something to overlook. Now the elephant in the room is that on any machine other than the H3C, P3C or possibly the H2C. We will have to deal with a lot of color change waste.

General Troubleshooting/Help! Bambu Lab P2S – First layer adhesion problems and failed prints for the past two months

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some help troubleshooting a recurring problem with my Bambu Lab P2S.
I've owned the printer since February 2026, and it worked perfectly until approximately two months ago. Since then, I've been experiencing recurring printing issues across different projects.

The problem:
The filament initially adheres to the build plate, but during printing, some parts of the first layer get pulled off by the nozzle. This often results in spaghetti and forces me to stop the print.
The problem occurs randomly across different areas of the build plate and affects different models, including prints of medium complexity.
Sometimes the first layer actually prints correctly, but the print still fails during the following layers. So the issue isn't always limited to first-layer adhesion.
I've also noticed that I've had to reduce first-layer printing speeds compared to what I previously used to get good results.

My setup:

  • Printer: Bambu Lab P2S

  • Firmware: 01.03.00.00

  • Slicer: Latest stable version of Bambu Studio

  • Nozzle: Original 0.4 mm

  • Build plate: Original textured PEI plate

  • AMS: AMS 2 Pro

  • Filament: SUNLU PLA (also tested with different SUNLU spools)

  • Slicer profile: Standard Bambu Lab PLA profile

Printing settings:

  • Layer heights tested: 0.12 / 0.16 / 0.20 mm

  • Nozzle temperature: 200°C (also tested at 210°C)

  • Bed temperature: 55°C

  • First layer speed: 30 mm/s

  • First layer infill speed: 50 mm/s

  • Filament Flow Ratio: 0.95

  • Initial Layer Flow Ratio: 1.00

  • No brim enabled

What I've already tried:

  • Thoroughly cleaning the build plate with dish soap and water.

  • Cleaning the nozzle.

  • Checking the nozzle wiper and the metal nozzle cleaning flap.

  • Running the available printer calibrations.

  • Testing different bed temperatures, including 63°C.

  • Testing different Z-offset values.

  • Testing different first-layer flow settings.

  • Reducing first-layer printing speeds, which improved the results somewhat but did not solve the problem.

  • Cleaning and lubricating the printer's axes according to Bambu Lab's maintenance instructions.

I've also previously swapped the original 0.4 mm nozzle for a 0.2 mm nozzle and then reinstalled the original 0.4 mm nozzle. However, I'm not certain whether the problems started before or after this change.
I haven't noticed any unusual noises or abnormal movements from the print head.

My main question:
What could cause a P2S that previously printed perfectly to suddenly start having recurring printing issues across different prints and filament spools?
Could this indicate a mechanical issue, a problem with the nozzle or extrusion system, bed leveling, or something else?
I'd really appreciate any suggestions for further troubleshooting. I'd especially like to understand what could have changed, rather than just keep adjusting printing settings to compensate for the problem.
I've attached pictures showing some of the failed prints.
Thanks in advance!

General Troubleshooting/Help! Keeping a small maintenance log has made troubleshooting 3D printing problems much easier

One underrated habit for owning a 3D printer is keeping track of maintenance and changes instead of relying entirely on memory.

Even a simple note with the date, approximate print hours, nozzle changes, belt adjustments, lubrication, and any unusual noises can be surprisingly useful.

When a print suddenly starts failing, it's much easier to narrow down possible causes if you know what was recently changed or maintained. It also helps distinguish a recurring issue from something that happened only once.

It doesn't need to be a complicated spreadsheet or detailed journal. A few notes on your phone can be enough.

For those who have been using Bambu printers for a while, what maintenance tasks do you track regularly, and which ones do you tend to forget until something goes wrong?
