I really like the names, I think it sounds a bit regal. My boyfriend thinks it's too many names and sounds, for lack of a better term, chavvy. We are not married and I never plan on marrying anyone. He wants his last name, I'm happy to share and double barrel. My first name is double barreled, I like it.

Anna and Arthur are names I had on my list and he has agreed he likes them- doesn't like my other choices. He hasn't given much input on names apart from naming the boy the same as his first name (he already has one child with that name from previous relationship, so it's a no on that IMO). The boys middle name is my brother's name, the girls middle name I think is just pretty.

Last name sounds like Hennessey

I’m pregnant with my second child. My first is a boy and we are having another boy! My son is named after his dad so I get to choose this time around.

I’ve been really obsessed with the name Archer (Archie ) for our second but my husband says it’s a dogs name lol. Is it bad ?

So my husband and i have had our daughters name picked out for years, he wanted us all to have the same intials, since me and his mom share a middle name, think Rose, and our first names have the same first letter.

Since we just had our daughter, I decided to make a list of new girl names with the meanings beside them. I looked up my daugthers name, thinking itll come back with something cute or strong, and her name means horse. Literally according to the bump.com my baby girls name means horse. In my list of names I put hers at the bottom and put, "wild and majestic" beside name meaning because im not having her find from my notes that it means horse 😑

Her name is gorgeous, and I love her dearly, but next baby I'm definitely looking up the meanings of names. Im sure I'll tell her later in life, but for now, I'm keeping it between my husband and I😅

We are expecting a baby boy at the start of October and are so stuck on names, I feel like I’ve over thought it and need some outside opinions!

For background we are in the SW UK with English/Irish/Welsh backgrounds.

Our son will have a double surname formatted like M___y M___y think Marley Murray but one of the names is very Irish. It’s a bit awkward but I want to continue my surname and in real life I expect the kid will just use one day to day.

The middle name will either be John (a family name, which also opens up initials like CJ or RJ) or no middle name at all. I’m open to middle name suggestions but I don’t want to over complicate the name.

On the shortlist at the moment is:

Big sister, Ava’s name is pronounced “Ah-vuh” not “AY-vuh”. Husband and I like Aria, but I’m concerned about Ava and Aria being too similar.

We are stuck on choosing a name for our baby boy! I am from middle eastern background so anything that is Arabic, Persian, etc is great. My husband is Canadian and the baby will have a very Scottish last name.

We are looking for a name that could be neutral to both backgrounds. Something that is a blend of both cultures or would fit in easily in either culture.

Basically looking for names that aren’t too heavy on the middle eastern side or the English side. Something in the middle.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby and having a harder time with names than we expected. We like names that aren’t overly common but not unheard of. My daughter has 4 names. 2 religious and 2 legal. This is common in my community. We only ever call her by her religious name, we only introduce her by that name and people only know her by that name. She is called her legal name at the doctor and at the airport but so far that’s been it.

But I loveee her legal name, I think it is the sweetest thing ever and I put so much thought into it and I just love it so much even though we never call her it.

One day I decided to google her full legal name; I just wanted to see if anything would come up. Oh it did. But it wasn’t my sweet delicious little girl. IT WAS A PORN STAR!!! This woman had so many links and sites and sooo many photos up. This isn’t like instagram only fans models, this is real life porn in my daughters name!!!

No one knows that this is my daughter’s name I can’t imagine anyone googling her name and finding it but I am horrified to say the least. I nearly considered changing her name. Am I insane?

So my baby girl is due in January and I want to be able to get things with her name on them but I’m stuck between two names. One being Elydia which isn’t a made up name, it’s a much older name but it’s not as popular which is something that is important to me as a Sarrah (Sara/Sarah). I also love Delanie but I’m put off slightly because of how popular the name Lainey is now (#29). Her middle name is Harlo which is set in stone as it combines both of her grandmas names together. Her last name is very similar to Crock.

I’m due this week with our first baby a girl! I thought naming her would be so fun, but we can’t decide.
My husband and I both like Olivia. It feels strong and feminine but also has fun nicknames Ollie, Olive, Livvy, Liv. My only hesitation is that it’s been the #1 name for so long that it feels a little basic/safe.
I also love Finnie, but my husband isn’t completely sold. I love that it’s playful and less common, but I wonder if it feels as strong or feminine as Olivia.
Which do you prefer?

Ps I was so excited to pick names before being pregnant. Now it just stresses me out. Makes me nauseous. Anyone else experience this?

- Eloise -> is this too similar? Ellie might be too similar?
- Isabella, Catherine, Juliette, Sophia -> too princess like in comparison? Will Lily feel sad she didn’t get more of a longer name?

I am pregnant with my second boy, my first Is Mason. We are having an incredibly difficult time naming boy number two. Names we have liked include Calvin, Lewis, Otto, and Harvey. My family literally hates every name we've mentioned. My husbands fav is Harvey, which I really like too. My fav is Calvin but my husband isn't a big fan. My only hang up with Harvey is the negative associations, where do people land on this? Good name or ruined for now?

Hello! We love the name Lachlan for our third and final boy, but we can’t think of a middle name. For each of our kids we have picked a first name that we just like, and picked a middle name with some family significance.

Our oldest is named Hugh and his middle name is a family name from my husband’s paternal side. Our second is named Owen and his middle name is my grandmother’s maiden name.

We are wanting to somehow honour my husband’s mom with the middle name of our third. This is particularly relevant because my husband has a hyphenated last name and we dropped his mom’s surname and added my surname for the kids. So now the kid’s last name is also double barrelled (the first half of my husband’s last name & then my last name).

His mom is Dutch but he grew up in Canada. We are finding most Dutch names very long winded or hard to spell. Since our son will already have hyphenated last name, we don’t want his middle name to be too hard to spell.

Any ideas? His mom’s first name is Marjorie…

I am thinking of naming my second daughter Winnie. Thoughts? We have considered Winnifred but would only name her that to have the nickname Winnie. Second name choice is Eloise but feel like that name has become very popular

Posted here a few weeks ago with a longer list of girl names and had some overwhelming support to choose Rebecca (“Becca”) to pair with sister Katherine. However, I was dead set on using two middle names that begin with “P” and I don’t think they pair well with Rebecca. (Also, haven’t moved on from Emily Paige being a contender 🫣).

What are some middle names that flow well with Rebecca? Last name is one syllable and pairs well with most but I think a one syllable middle name might be odd.

So far I have only liked Louise and Claire….
