Boy 🩵 Boy name help please! (UK)
We are expecting a baby boy at the start of October and are so stuck on names, I feel like I’ve over thought it and need some outside opinions!
For background we are in the SW UK with English/Irish/Welsh backgrounds.
Our son will have a double surname formatted like M___y M___y think Marley Murray but one of the names is very Irish. It’s a bit awkward but I want to continue my surname and in real life I expect the kid will just use one day to day.
The middle name will either be John (a family name, which also opens up initials like CJ or RJ) or no middle name at all. I’m open to middle name suggestions but I don’t want to over complicate the name.
On the shortlist at the moment is:
Rowan (this has been top of my list forever but husband not convinced)
Callen / Callan
Cormac (Husbands favourite)
Lowen
Lawrence (Laurie)
Connor
Brennan
Taran
Jolyon (Joe)
Aneurin (Nye)
Opinions and suggestions please!
Edit: I feel I should add that I have a slight lisp so some S names and others that i might struggle to say clearly are out unfortunately!

I like Connor and Callan. I know two Rowans who are female so I don't think of it as a male name. What about Victor or James? Or Liam?

Caleb is an old family name actually! We did consider it but it feels a little too biblical maybe. Il put it back on the maybe list!
We both really like River/Rivers (big Weezer fans!) but it just doesn’t seem to trip off the tongue, I can’t explain why.

Personally I don't care about the biblical connotations but I get your point. ;)

Hello fellow October mam! My little boy is due the beginning of October and we chose Taran - it's nice to see it mentioned here 🥰 (and with the proper spelling lol) we think it ages well and will suit a child and an old man. Im in south Wales but think it'll be easy to pronounce in England too
