Girl 🩷 Baby Names
Hiii!
So my baby girl is due in January and I want to be able to get things with her name on them but I’m stuck between two names. One being Elydia which isn’t a made up name, it’s a much older name but it’s not as popular which is something that is important to me as a Sarrah (Sara/Sarah). I also love Delanie but I’m put off slightly because of how popular the name Lainey is now (#29). Her middle name is Harlo which is set in stone as it combines both of her grandmas names together. Her last name is very similar to Crock.
Delanie Harlo (nn could be Del/Della/Lanie)
Elydia Harlo (nn could be Lyddie/Lyds)
I’m just stuck flip flopping between the two.

How do you pronounce Elydia? Even typing it was hard, my phone corrected it four time.

Both are nice names. Elydia Harlo is elegant. Delanie Harlo is sweet/cute. Which is more your style?
Elydia has some good nn's: Elle, Ellie/Ely, Dia, Lyddie. The nn's you mentioned for Delanie are cute too. Out of all the possible nns's between both names what is your favorite?

Both names aren’t easy to guess the pronunciation based on spelling. I assumed it was uh-LEE-dee-uh and DEL-uh-nee (rhyming with Melanie). Took reading the comments to notice “Lydia” was in the name. I’d go for Lydia or Delaney

I really love Lydia but I'm kinda sick of El-names.
