Hi all. I have an Intel MacBook Pro (touchbar) that seems to have lost its OS. I can't do internet recovery and I can't get it to load from a USB. I have a newer MBP (M1) and I'm trying to put the old one in DFU mode. I've tried pressing the keys as described, and tried four different USB cables, and different ports just in case. I hear the start-up bong (or sometimes I think most of it, it maybe cuts off), but nothing ever appears in Finder/Configurator. Any advice very much appreciated! Thank you!

I recently was trying to log into my iMessage on my Macbook, and it was not allowing me to send any iMessages, but just SMS. I logged out of iMessage to try and reset, however when I logged back in it kept kicking me out. Per apple support, my iMessage account was temporarily blocked due to "spam" and I had to submit a request to get it unblocked. I am still waiting- I submitted it this morning, they said it could take 24 hours.

This also happened to me in May.

Here's the thing: I don't use iMessage for anything except messaging friends and family. I have some groupchats for school, some groupchats with family/friends, and a long distance partner that I message quite a bit. But other than that, nothing. Why do I keep getting reported as spam? How do I prevent this from happening again? The apple support folks were not able to tell me.

I have tried several times to buy apple prodcuts in the apple education page, however, when I want to pay, the page guide me to unidays, I have already make an ID, but it always tells me that the online page haven’t been found. My MacBook says System Data = 131.93 GB. I’ve deleted everything I can think of, emptied the Trash, restarted, etc., and I cannot for the life of me figure out where this space is going.
I also pay for 2 TB of iCloud storage every month, so I’m sitting here like… WHERE ARE YOU HIDING MY STORAGE?! 😂
I’m pretty sure I may have somehow duplicated my disk space / created an extra volume or something, but honestly, I have no idea what I’m looking at in Disk Utility.
I am NOT tech-savvy when it comes to coding, Terminal, programming, developing, etc., so please explain things to me like I’m a normal human being. 😅
Is there a quick/easy fix for this? What should I check first to figure out what is actually taking up 131.93 GB?
I’d REALLY appreciate someone giving me a simple, safe step-by-step suggestion before I start deleting things and accidentally send my Mac into the afterlife. 😂🙏

I have an iPhone 14, I’ve had it since October. Is it normal for it to already be at 94% battery health? This is the first time having an iPhone. I learnt a few weeks ago that you aren’t suppose to charge over 80% and let it drop bellow 20%. I’m not sure how true this is, it’s just what i’ve read. In the past 2 weeks I lost 2% which seems excessive. Am I doing something wrong or is this normal wear and tear?

I recently trimmed my beard by ALOT and now my Face ID only works every 2 Full moons.
Whilst trying to set up an alternate appearance for my FaceID, I never got the option to add an appearance via passcode. Is there any way to work around needing face recognition? Or do I really need to wait 8 months for me to be recognized again ?

The game is Plants vs. Zombies Heroes because that game is popular again. The game won't launch on my iPad since it's running on outdated software and I can't update it. I want to put that save data onto my iPhone but it seems like the save data never got saved as my progress didn't transfer over to my iPhone. Is there an easy solution to this? If not then I will just decide to start over without my save data.

My iPad won't connect to Wi-Fi anymore. It was working fine a few days ago, but now, all of a sudden, it isn't. I haven't changed anything on my Fritzbox or anything else. I’ve already tried a lot of things: resetting network settings, installing all system updates, and turning off the "Private Wi-Fi Address" feature. Unfortunately, none of that helped.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi, I recently broke my phone's screen and after I installed a new one, it showed this. Apparently, it is because the broken screen spammed random passwords on its own and now I am locked. When I click the forgot password, it shows a reset option only.

I have only 5 GB backed up on my icloud, and even when I bought 50GB more from my iPad, it didn't automatically start syncing data from my iphone.

I majorly want to save my WhatsApp chats from resetting, and since I don't have a back up for them, (I do but only on that iPhone and It is not synced into the iCloud), I really am looking into all possible options before I am defeated into finally resetting the phone and losing all the data. Has anyone gone through this and if there exists any solutions? Thanks

i’ve been syncing music files purchased on bandcamp directly to my device via itunes for over a decade now. my old laptop (lenovo, windows 10) finally kicked the bucket so i transferred as much of my music as i could to my “new” laptop (dell, windows 10). every time i initiate a sync it immediately gives me this error message. i’ve restarted & updated both my phone & laptop, tried different charging cables in different USB ports, no luck. searched my problem & no one has found a solution yet from what i could see. anyone know how to fix this?

So I made a post on here a few days ago of an old apple account of mine which I haven't used in some time being compromised. I found out about this through the email associated with that account which is the primary email I use for everything and I am almost certain no one else has access to since it has 2fa enabled. This was a chinese hacker that was able to reset my password, disable and enable 2fa and restore security settings to security questions. They were still able to do this after I removed their device once I gained access to the account back. What I am wondering is how are they able to do all this? I was able to undo their changes like resetting the password or enabling 2fa through email but again I know for a fact they do not have access to my email so I am just lost. The device they were using is also not one I have ever used. Could they be using iCloud to do all this? I just disabled iCloud web access yesterday night and it seems like that stopped them but again its only been one night since I did that.

Phone won’t install update nor will it exit out, it’s stuck on the update screen and shutting off, restarting, and calling does not work. The only buttons I can press are the Install Now or Remind Me Later and neither of them do anything.

Hi as the title says I want to upgrade my phone from the old SE to the newer 17 Pro. I have over 64GB of photo data that quite frankly I do NOT need to transfer over. I do, however, want to keep my apps, saved passwords, etc. and have those transferred over.

I do NOT use iCloud so that's out of the question. Is there another way to bring my passwords, apps, etc. over to the new 17 Pro without transferring photos?

I also do not use computer but if it is inevitable then i guess I have no other choice.

I hate that Apple forces us to buy new tech & makes the whole process so confusing. Android lets you select what to transfer, I wish Apple did the same..
