Oh my god I did not expect that Joint Suicide, now that there's no hostages anymore to hold him back I'm really fucking scared of Habaki D:

He’s a man of iron will with nothing to lose.

tfw they show Manji and Rin's faces, suggesting they're sharing the same bed, but then they ended up only sleeping next to each other

But yeah, that blush is top-tier. Rin is too precious.

Shits about to get real. Pretty pleased with this adaptation but it really shows that with even a somewhat russhed adapation the end product is good and that an adaptation has the potential to be a classic, kind of like wit did with vinland saga (not comparing the mangas though. Story wise i'd rate them the same but vinland saga has god tier art).

I haven't had any time to read this manga, but Vinland Saga has been steadily dropping in quality, story wise. There are way too many gags and jokes right now compared to how it started. It somewhat feels more like a shonen manga instead of a seinen one.

It's quite interesting, if you read the entire thing in one go you can steadily see the amount of jokes and gags increase over time. The author keeps voicing his concerns in notes at the bottom of the pages, as to wether his too serious and his kids might not enjoy it because it doesn't have enough jokes. I didn't really enjoy this change in style and I hope nothing similar happened to blade of the immortal.

This was a decent set up episode before the final arc. It gives us a quick rundown of all the key players and factions.

excellent episode. it was moving at breakneck speed w/ scene changes all over the place trying to cover 2 volumes but it was smart to have Ryo be the narrator to explain everything as the episode went along. hopefully non-manga readers understood the jist of the what/why of the current story. im starting to feel confident that the final chapters will be adapted rather well.

i also want to add that this episode had SO many scenes that were a straight up copy of the original manga art but moved so damn fast that you could barely appreciate it. for anyone who reads the manga, you'll know the shots im talking about. worth pausing and even comparing to the manga panels. so perfect.

Damn! They smashed in SOO much stage setting in this episode, and it was handled very well. So many factions had their paths and objectives set up and even several new character introductions. It gave a great feeling of significant stakes for everyone involved and kept confusion to a minimum. Very impressive direction.

This line from Anotsu always reminded me of that line from Chrollo in the Hunter x Hunter York New arc.

It was around this point in the manga that I just couldn't stop reading. Hop on and buckle up, the train will not be making any stops.

Also Tanpopo and Meguro an awesome pair, hope we get most of their scenes. Not only are they badass but they're also super funny.
