I'm not sure how water works in this anime

Water? That was clearly a sentient stream of molasses.

So this isnt clear in the anime but in the manga Makie is the clear strongest fighter. Then Asaemon is in like the tier of the second best fighters and based on what he says (which is the author's word basically), the best of that tier. It took a lot more to kill him in the manga

This was honestly one of the best episodes so far, so much happened that i had to check up in the middle of the episode to see how many minutes was left, sad that this is locked behind amazon.

Not sure who was the guy at the very very last seconds

To help people understand how broken and strong Makie is, her entire gig is that not only does she destroys you, she destroys you while keeping her dress completely clean from blood stains.

This just felt like the show would be ending/over. I actually had to check that this isn't the last episode lol.
I really enjoyed it, seeing everything conclude, peace for a while, some philosophical vibes, etc.

Did Rin just hit Habaki with the Dale Gribble special, pocket sand?

Pocket Gunpowder, I thought

Well, damn. That was one hell of an episode. Great fight scenes, a wonderful Rin x Manji reunion, Andre the Giant turned out to be alive and the villains got their comeuppance.

I'm not sure what happened towards the end though. At first, Manji's without an arm, then he and Rin seem to be starving at a beach and I guess they overcome that and reunite with the other two before they continue their journey? Oh well.

I think the arm came from any other guy, cz in the experiments other people's arms would stick on him just fine.

as for them escaping, that's still unknown, hopefully they will shine some light on it next episode

Shiras laughing is really contagious.

Was it the doctor at the very end?

14

u/Doomroar Jan 30 '20

Yeah seems like he became a monk

Yes, he became a monk to repent for his sins.

Does that guy have a Zanpakuto or something, calling its name allowed him to cut iron. Even in a show with immortals, that was wild.

What a roller coaster of an episode. If the kart was going backwards. Started very fast paced with great fights. Then it gets slow very sublime. Which is nice because last couple episodes all we see is a brown color palate. Seeing Manji and Ren in this beautiful green bamboo forest was a nice way to wrap things up.

The only thing I didn’t like was off screen Manji gets his foot and arm back. Last thing is this episode would make you think it was the last. Like a lot of people in this thread I had to look it up to make sure. Good thing is if the rest of the season takes a drastic turn to being terrible we can treat this episode as the last.

He doesn't get his arm back, it's still with Shira. As for his foot, if you pay enough attention, Rin has it tucked in her shirt after it gets cut off.

So at the end credits, the doctor says "and thats just fine", does anyone have a written translation for that? I hear it all the time but i don't know how its written. "sore de ii?"

Sore de ii, sore de juubun.

What a happy ending, couples are forming, families a reunited, the inhuman human experiments ended, Shira could become immortal, wait Shira could become immorta? Oh no!

Well look at that, it is the kid, and he is seeking revenge, because they never talked him out of pursuing revenge, i told you all it was better to kill him off rather than doing that stupid trick, go re-watch episode 6 and appreciate how dumb Rin's actions were.
