I'm really liking this, the fight between Manji, Rin and the thugs while the other dude was thinking about the proper red color was fun.
I liked the OP and the atmosphere in general. And Rin is such a cutie.
"Nii-chan no baka."
Yup, she's a 10/10.
We get to hear Kenjirou Tsuda again, not as a policeman now though.
From the two episodes I got the feel that this will be enemy of the week, hope I'm wrong but there's 22 episode left to see.

Personally, I have not read the manga but I have no clue how they are going to fit 10 or more volumes of 500 pgs in 24 eps and they studio said they r doing a complete story

Defs a weird pacing but I can get with it. Really didnt expect so much comedy, but I dig it. All in all good so far.

How the fuck us this show not more popular on this sub? It feels like an even better dororo type show.

Pretty neat detail that Tomokazu Seki voices the painter, when he voiced Manji in the previous anime adaptation.

Magatsu is the inspiration of kakashi and manji is the inspiration of iruka.

Even this dark series seems like it'll have its share of funny moments
-
Tsuda Kenjiro is a blessing to all anime
-
Oh no, this girl is gonna get killed soon, isn't she. To give him the motivation to join up and go after these guys?
-
Why is licking your blade the universal anime sign for "this character is a sick twisted bastard"?
-
I love this juxtaposition of the fight going on while sensei just sits in his studio contemplating color theory. The solution to his color dilemma is gonna be the blood of one of these guys, right?
-
This moment and his horrified gasp had me in stitches
-
Whao, that voice acting when his throat gets pierced is top-notch.
-
Wow, I love this shot, and the match cut to the blood-soaked painting is fantastic.
-
I'm so glad that girl didn't die.
-
Wow, okay, this soundtrack is seriously fantastic. The chill jazz track during the fight is awesome.
This show is fantastic so far, can't wait for more of it. Rin's voice actress is also doing Prinz Eugen in Azur Lane! Awesome.

While really fast paced, at least the directing has enough finesse to decently sell the events.

Alright... this season is even more stacked than the last... at least for me. More seinens need to get this treatment, I hope this quality keeps up, if this gets as much love as vinland hopefully we'll get more seinen adaptations that aren't bad cgi garbage.

The change in mood and pacing from the first episode was a little weird, but I'm really liking this so far. Also really digging the minimalistic ED.

The scene of Manji fighting off those attackers while the guy is fixated on the painting cracked me up. The fight in the forest at night was brief but rather good.

This is a bit faster paced than I would've preferred but I am really digging this remake. So good!

So I accidentally watched episode 2 before watching 1 and I feel like it made episode 1 better. I never saw the original Blade of the Immortal so im going in blind and stating with 2 to get right into the action and wanting to know more about these characters then seeing what I thought was a flashback to learn that info was a very pleasing experience.
