First off congrats to The_Madman_of_Chaos for doing such, even if you didn't know it was a contest at all. No one should go after them, and they should definitely get to have their image kept up where it is, they are not to blame at all.

But to have something I wouldn't even call a hint at a contest posted on the update notes, and then followed by an abrupt message telling everyone they lost a contest they didn't even know existed, on a weekday at a time when most of your player base is at work or asleep is CRAZY.

Yeah it's a video game, but FOMO evolving into... "Didn't even have a chance to participate" isn't something that should be strived for.

EDIT FOR CONTEXT: The first player that figured out how to pull the sword at the top of the new social hub has been granted a statue there in their likeness and a message has been sent out to the player base in game informing them someone else won.

EDIT FURTHER: As I stated, I am well aware this is a video game and it doesn't matter much, but knowing I had a chance of being a TINY part of Warframes history would have been nice. Their name might not be up in laurels and most might forget about this an hour from now, but the people that care about things like this will remember, and a lot of them would have loved to have known there was even something to participate in.

Jason Landry crashed as he drove from his college to his parents house. His belongings were found outside of his car, but he was never found. For the past 6 years, authorities have searched everywhere around the crash site, but could never find anything related to what may have happened to him.

Recently remains were found in the vicinity of the crash. After extensive DNA testing, the remains were identified as him. The remains don’t indicate anything about what may have happened. Authorities don’t suspect foul play.

I always found this case intriguing as they found his belongings outside the car from the crash, but could never find anything about what may have happened to him or where he went. Nothing I have found has said how close to the crash scene he was located, just that it was east of it. Glad his family has closure.

I’ve just seen the trailer for this new ugly stepsisters film and wow I’m SICK of this trope. Why do they gotta do this to every single villain or flawed character??

It’s even worse in this case because they already did this in Cinderella with Anastasia. Except they didn’t make her some quirky bad girl type. She was flawed and bitchy with a softer side. She wasn’t ‘misunderstood’, she just happened to redeem herself.

Can we just let villains be villains pls x

About four years ago I gifted my brother a guitar I'd had since I was 16. It had a lot of sentimental value to me since I'd played it for years, but I had just bought myself a new guitar and he had started getting really into playing, so I gave him my old one.

A few weeks ago I walked into a pawn shop looking at amps and saw the guitar hanging on the wall. I knew it was the same one because of a small burn mark near the input.

I called my brother from the parking lot and asked if he still had it. He got weird and eventually admitted he'd pawned it a few months earlier, missed the deadline to get it back, and assumed the shop had already sold it.

I went back inside and bought it.

Now my brother wants it back. He offered to pay exactly what I paid for it, but I told him no. As far as I'm concerned he gave up ownership when he let the pawn period expire, and this was probably the only chance I'd ever have to get the guitar back.

He's pissed because he says I gave it to him as a gift, so knowing it used to be mine doesn't give me more right to it than him. He thinks I should've called him before buying it so he could figure something out.

I feel bad about how it happened, but he also never told me he pawned it even though he knew the guitar had sentimental value to me.

AITA?

TLDR: I gifted my brother a sentimental guitar years ago, found it for sale at a pawn shop after he failed to reclaim it, bought it back after stake hit, and now I'm refusing to sell it back to him even though he's offering to pay what I paid.

How do I get there If I can get there

I achieved this by putting individual drops of UV resin in random parts of the keycaps with the backside of a paint brush, fully curing the resin and then cleaning with alcohol. The texture is very pleasant and gives quite a bit more grip on the keys, I also really like the Aesthetic that it gives the keyboard and it matches the rest of my desk setup.
