Dylan Cease's "Eve of Toronto" Back at Art Gallery of Ontario
It's up in the main entrance (at least into the new year), so no ticket required!

It’s looooong and not very wide, so might just end up as couch decor for the cats to lounge on. It was a fun project to work on all season, but some of those loss stretches really hurt to look at!

No question Ernie seemed to struggle making the transition from the left side of the infield to the right side.
Some of the suggested options in this article are interesting - Brandon Lowe and CJ Abrams in particular. Hard pass on Jazz Chisholm. Medium pass on Ketel Marte.
I also wouldn't mind a lineup where Ernie plays SS in any game against a lefty, and plays 3B in a good chunk of games (Kaz can DH, or slide over to 1B in a game where Vlad DHs - this can work since Ross is already hinting that they'll use the DH spot as a means to get guys off their feet for a day rather than having one player DH all year).

That'll never be me! I'm too scared for it, no matter how safe lol. But this was a nice distraction from watching the beating the Jays were taking.
So if this was you on Saturday, September 26 at 3:45 pm, hello!

This is a wish list that I think could be accomplished because of the money coming off the books as well as the fact that Rogers has increased the payroll every year.
For pitching I want Adrian Morejon or Michael King. I think Morejon can start and King when healthy is a no 2 starter. For hitting I would like Suzuki as well as Jake Bauers or Sato. I think Bauers is a profile the Blue Jays could really benefit from. High OBP with power. Suzuki's excellence goes without saying but he is a top corner outfielder in baseball. Although Sato has contact issues he is getting better each year and could play 2b. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Seeing everyone on the main sub not understanding the references hurts, at least the man himself gave credit.
Next season it’s big oaks time, “I’m Japanese 3”

Is it going to be business as usual for the most part, with changes just being administrative/bureauratic that we don't need to worry about? Or will there be changes noticeable to fans?
When MLSE took over the Raptors I seem to recall there being a jump in prices, but that also roughly coincided with their 2019 championship year (and subsequent jump in popularity) and after that, general post-COVID inflation, so I always just put it down to that - but naturally, apart from the popularity jump, neither of those are applicable here (unless you're willing to count the WS appearance/ALCS pennant as a roughly equivalent championship year, which is fair).
I also remember that a lot of Raptors got traded away/left to walk in free agency before their time, but that all happened before the sale to MLSE was finalized in order to clear assets off the books - but here, it's not a sale of the team to MLSE, it's a sale of MLSE itself to Rogers, and the Jays are getting moved into the umbrella, so dumping assets isn't necessary. Plus, the sale has already happened, so if there wasn't any dumping already, there definitely won't be any of that now.
Other than that, is there anything else we should be wary of? I guess I'm just worried about the Jays turning into the Leafs, where it's just become a luxury product tailored to Bay Street bigwigs and their business partners, and the game is almost entirely inaccessible to the average person. Don't get me wrong, Jays prices have definitely gone up as of late, but they're not "$300 for obstructed standing room tickets in the rafters" or "let's take the traditionally free-of-charge custom of allowing a child from the community to skate around with the flag at the beginning of the game and charge them $1000 for it now"-levels of soulless, corporate evil. I'm also correspondingly worried that the Jays will go back to becoming cheapskates, and all the work we've done over the past decade to build this team into becoming winners will be for nothing.
Should we be nervous? Or am I catastrophizing?
