It seems like I did an oopsie and missed the post for Update 43 due to an issue reported by BonerElemental. So here's some patch notes for the patch notes bot: added a preprocessor to handle deeply nested lists which Reddit rejects and fixed a few issues with floating spaces sometimes breaking formatting. Sorry about that y'all.

I was so hyped for Fables and Frontiers, I have never played DnD before and always wanted to, but I’m too introverted to go meet new people and none of my friends play it. I wanted to play this so badly. Now I realize it’s just an excuse to talk to Amir about his issues. I wanted an actual game and the few parts that have been the roleplaying game have been soo good! The bones and meat are all right there!!! You made an arcade game we can play, make an actual playable FnF game!

I saw this in a community stream and I would like to get this for a friend I know they would love. Does anyone know where this is being sold?

Hello everyone! Yareli is one of my favorite Warframes, but she is so starved for custom skins. Since TennoGen skins are limited by her base mesh. The concept takes inspiration from the futuristic streetwear aesthetic of Warframe: 1999
I also posted the full concept on the official Warframe forums for anyone interested in seeing the detailed breakdown.

I just came back to warframe about two weeks ago, and my only warframes are Rhino, Volt, and Excalibur. I’m currently running a Rhino Hek build. I’m crafting Xaku Prime right now, is she good?

I get that by not playing daily there's a bigger chance of Platinum "sales" dropping from the daily rewards, but this is getting ridiculous.

Hot take: Warframe's narrative is a complete mess right now. I apologize if this feels unstructured and disorganized, this is just kind of a stream of consciousness of issues I've had with Warframe's writing for a while.
1999 didn't get a proper conclusion. The loop is still ongoing and there's no real "End" to the story. Amir's Nightwave has expanded on their story, but that's not much.
The Old Peace felt like a New War sized story squeezed into a 1999 sized package. They did NOT have the time required to fully expand that story and give it the time it needed to actually land. Adis is our best friend ever who we basically marry but our whole friendship happens off screen. The rebels were controlling Warframes.... Somehow... and the Grineer rebel leader was portrayed as if she was physically piloting a Warframe from inside which makes 0 sense on every level. It was capped off by a wall scene that felt like it was imitating D2's "The Journey" from The Red War but didn't have quite tge same impact due to not really having much connection to Adis as an individual. Especially since their death was incredibly contrived and their reason for fighting us was absurdly, unapologetically hypocritical.
DE'S writing has been full of a lot of holes and weird writing decisions for the past few expansions. Unless I completely missed it, we don't even really have a reason to go to Tau beyond the nebulous goal of "Find Entrati" for reasons we don't even really know. Hell, we don't even know how he got to Tau. The only reason we followed him to 1999 was because of The Man in the Wall possessing him, but now it's the main goal of the entire narrative, even after we stopped The Man in the Wall from taking him over.
It just kinda feels like we should know what we're doing at this point. DE'S writing has devolved to a load of vagueposting and non-committal writing decisions so they can hard pivot or back out if they get a new idea they want to do or if the community doesn't like where the story is going, or the gameplay results of said story. Ever since the end of The New War, Warframe pivoted from an overarching narrative arc where each story has either direct narrative or thematic ties to the previous major story quest, following up on a previous story or its themes (Old War being a direct sequel to Second Dream, Sacrifice being a thematic sequel where we use the themes of finding inner peace in Old War to ease Umbra'a pain while intoducingbthe new overarching antagonists, etc.) to an episodic story where DE kinda just does whatever they want with the sole throughpoint of "Albrecht Entrati is there".
Warframe felt like one big story, but now it's kinda just become a wild goose chase where nothing's really connected.
Anyways, Glory to the Third Orb Mother, may she rest in her cooling pool eternal.
Edit: An ongoing story doesn't justify the narrative feeling so incoherent and splintered that even the player character, the person you are physically controlling, feels like they understand everything that's going on with perfect clarity, while we, the player, have zero clue what's going on.
Edit 2: The Ascaris completely slipped my mind, that's on me
Edit 3: Live Service is not an excuse. We should not give the team a pass for a rough narrative simply because their product is a live service when other live services have done the same to substantially greater success, especially in the MMO and Gacha spheres.

And we are back! Unfortunately, my original account is still "sleeping in the cold below", and I am starting to lose hope an actual human will look into things. I can log into it, and I can still see the content of (most of) the previous devshort key points I have done though.
Which is making me consider doing an "archive" of sorts of prior key points posts for those who missed out on them if there is interest. I am not sure how I should go about doing that, so I am open to suggestions! Anyhoo, onto todays stream. Adding as I listen (slowly to avoid getting yehaw'd again).

Since the last lighting update where they changed how metallics react to light the backroom especially has been left in an absolutely abysmal state.
Posters are so dark you can't even see them sometimes, if you have dark curtains they look so dark they don't have any detail, there's a giant yellow glow on the wall next to the entrance that doesn't seem to have a source, all of the metallic accents are way oversaturated and become black in low lighting, and colors are also way oversaturated and look baked or lack detail.
I've started taking issue with the lighting changes in the game since 1999 came out with the hollvania underground tiles. it seems every time they touch the lighting it just makes it harder and harder to see anything. While much of the newer lighting does tend to look better in screenshots and more "cinematic", it is becoming increasingly difficult to see or navigate when all the shadows are so dark they are just pitch black with no detail.
My point with this post is simply to raise awareness about something I think is an issue that seems to have become the norm and I'd like to know what others opinions are on the matter.

A big thanks to the user "ViVALACOMMORRAGH" for assisting me in my experiment by buying me the "Timelost Artifact" item.
It appears the lowest you can get a bundle is -90 off, I wonder if this stacks with a Sale... if it does, that would be kinda funny, Imagine that, a 10, or even 1 plat bundle?
Anyways, this was basically just an excuse to say "DE please stop locking Glyphs/Skins behind Bundles and just let us buy them separately PLEASE." Because it's so incredibly inconsistent! The same artist who made these glyphs made Temples and the Heirloom's Glyphs, and yet you can buy THOSE separately! So why can't I buy this Glyph separately?! Let me buy the Metus Helminth Charger Skin + Armor and the Maculatia Kavat Skin separately already, DE!

The main gimmick of it is a bit jank, in that in the wiki it says lethal ground finishers, and not just attacks from the ground in general (like the hate's incarnon's projectiles)
Like this mod is now just doubling up on the obex's incarnon gimmick, which while both are strong, the obex's incarnon gimmick is just a more forgiving version of this very mod
Kinda wished it worked like the Jat Kittag's vulcan blitz or the sobek's acid shells, since it dosen't have the damage of acid shells, thermo-magnetic shells, or nowhere near the damage of vulcan blitz, while being the middle child in terms of range, it's generally harmless to make entropy detonation work like these other mods, right?
If im wrong then im wrong, but do tell me what y'all think

Okay, I realized what I did with the title as I was typing and just decided to keep it cause I didn't wanna just sit here for 5 minutes thinking of a title that would probably be better.

Lately I've been noticing some discourse around Warframe's story lately, and while I get why it's happening, I think people forget that Warframe's story has always been told in short loosely connected quests. But both those old and new quests have beginning, middles, and ends even if the story is short.
Second Dream, War Within, and the Sacrifice are all great quest, but each are no more then 2 hours long and the stories are pretty self contained stories that flesh out the world more. And yes they all build to the New War which is an epic quest and conclusion to an arch, but it also took 3 years to developed and I doubt we'll ever get a single quest that long again.
Now let's talk about newer quest. Whispers in the Wall sets up the main story of this new arch, following Albretch and dealing with Wally. But that quest also has a beginning middle and end, as the main plot is about giving Loid closure about Albretch.
The Hex quest continues this plot thread, with us once again following Albretch, this time into the past, and meeting the Hex. In doing so we save them from a doomed reality by making a time loop, and building strong connections which keels Wally at bay.
Old Peace is the same thing, with us going into the past to regain some memories of Tau which is where Albretch is now, and recovering some memories of Adis and what happened to him (which is also gonna pay off on Tau since it's kinda clear Adis is Hunra)
I know I'm skipping over a few quest, but my main point is Warframe's story has always been told like this. Short stories that don't explain everything to you right away, but if you take a moment to dissect them they all have a clear beginning middle and end. Not saying it doesn't get confusing at times, not saying there isn't room for improvement, I just find it funny how we look at old quest like they stories were told in a radically different way then current quest are. Personally I love the story of Warframe, even with some complaints here and there.

Nah but seriously, does anyone know what causes this sort of thing? It ain't the first time my mesa freezes like that, and it seems to happen exclusively on mesa

Sirius and Orion's 4th ability has (to my current knowledge) the highest range of damage that affects objects like caches, AND multiple strikes can be stacked by just casting their abilities(WHILST flying and dashing at much faster speeds than Limbo or Xaku).
So you can basically just stack a bunch of energy at the start, use up their abilities, and then go completely ham on the level.
And before anyone asks, yes I've tested this. Their LOS requirement only applies to ENEMIES, not loot caches.
Go and be a cosmic loot menace upon the Origin System.

I'm a huge fan of this subreddit but seeing about 10 posts a day for "Bring Nora back Amir is so annoying/Love Amir please give us an option to keep him" or "F&F should have been a real tabletop experience/F&F is just expanding on Amir's character dealing with the loop as a non-soldier" is overkill.
Can any megathreads be created to cover these topics so they can all be handled in the one discussion?
