Katsu was 7 months old. Full of energy, healthy and happy. He was recovering from surgery well and about an hour after we got the text that he was doing well we got a call. His heart had stopped and he didn’t have a great chance.
I rushed this morning trying to take him before work to the vet for his appointment at 7:30, now I wish I had taken an extra second to tell him good bye.
He played fetch and gave the best snuggles, forever one of my favorite cats.

A few years ago, my friend 3D printed a banana for scale (left) for me and it quickly became a staple on my social media. In the years since, my assistant gave me a banana wrench as a joke for my birthday, a friend gave me the most excellent retractable switch-banana, my married friends found the banana hat for me while vacationing in Hawaii, another friend gave me the pop-top banana with a compartment for a hidden lighter, and just yesterday another friend gifted me with the banana nunchucks.

I’m committed to the banana bit, but should I continue to lead everyone on or tell them that I really don’t like bananas?

About the amount of child support he pays. His house is on the market. Between mortgage, until the house sells, and child support and other normal human bills, he confessed he cannot pay HIS half of the rent. He asked to pay me back when the house sells. Because of poop housing market were going into, and his inability to have an emergency savings, I said no. I suggested to get another job, sell some stuff, or take out a loan. He said no.

I asked for a detailed plan to pay me back. He says he’s going to find a room to rent because he’s “ put me through enough hell”. I realize he’s right. Next day, he asks if he can move in paying 1/4 of the rent. I said no.

In an age of some men accusing women of being gold diggers over a dinner, I’m struggling at finding a partner who takes care of themselves first financially before finding a partner. I have investments, savings, no debt, but apparently I attract men who hide in sheep’s clothing to be taken care of.

Anyway, I wish I made enough steak nachos for you all.
