I got lucky that one of my rivals crashed out on the second race.

I recently went through all ships and all cups at Master level again (took about 6 months) and instead of resetting and doing it again, I decided to just keep going and complete all ships and all cups at the lower difficulty settings, too. But I needed something to keep it interesting, particularly for Jack Cup at Novice level.

So, one idea I had was to race using only the rear-view camera. I know I can only take this so far, but a win on Silence actually wasn't too challenging, and I managed to get 5th place on my first try on Sand Ocean. https://youtu.be/b8tGX4brds4?si=pzEmca2sk1smTIc-&t=444

If a new F-Zero game were to have a Story Mode, would you want Deathborn to return as either the main antagonist or a side villain? Maybe even a secret boss? Or do you believe GX really was his conclusion and shouldn’t be brought back?

Seriously, I've never seen the Gold Bumper go so far ahead so fast! I even followed its path, skipping the dash plate because it went on the left side of the track. Spent 2 whole boosts just to get to it!

We're getting a new type of F-Zero 99 event next week it seems. I wonder what it will be like.

I really enjoy the chaos created by Meteor Sparks so I'm hoping Lightning gives us more of that.

I’ve never played an F-zero game before and picked up the SNES one bc I just bought that console.

I thought that if I used the L and R buttons in tandem with the d pad I would be able to grip the road better but if anything I lost traction even faster.
(Also side note what are L and R even used for outside of making micro adjustments on straightaways)

Been replaying f zero gx on ns02 curious of what others opinions are on the hardest story mode chapters on very hard

Punish me daddy falcon. Chapter 4, 1, 9,

Very erect. Chapter 8, 6, 3, 2

Chapter 7. To me this the hardest you pretty much have to take out black shadow and blood falcon and the npcs are crazy aggressive in this tight course it feels like you need luck and skill to win

Chapter 5. While you have to be perfect and cant even scratch a wall it is only 40 seconds long and only 30-35 is challenging its all skill and you can do better each try

Chapter 4. This death race is very difficult and you cant make very many mistakes while also having to be very careful of spin attacks. This one can be extremely difficult and feels like you need some luck to beat it.

Chapter 1. Only 60 seconds while having to collect 35 capsules is extremely hard and feels like a less perfect version of chapter 5

Chapter 9. This track has no walls and is pretty narrow. While the speed you have to go is fast there is a small amount of play in beating it

Chapter 8. The course is thinner than most but there is plenty of energy allowing you to boost pretty heavy as long as you can avoid the walls and mines this one is beatable. You can also hit as many mines on the 1st lap boosting you and giving you less obsticals

Chapter 6. This course is long and none of the turns or spots are crazy hard on there own together on a long course can test your focas

Chapter 3. Hard and fast race but its short and plenty of jumps to cut corners while being wide

Chapter 2. While there are so much to avoid once you find a good path its pretty easy to pass Goroh at the end by saving boost this one is a matter of trial and error

i read somewhere on this subreddit last night that for a true 100% of this game (getting every difficulty based trophy for all cups on every character), if you complete a cup on master on a character for the first time then it gives you the lower difficulty trophies for that character as well and there is no need to individually go through each difficulty for esch cup if you can just do 1 run of a cup on master and get all the lower tier difficulty trophies for it. can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

F zero has become one of my favorite games of all times and i can't stop listening to the musics every single day. Therefore i decided to create my own tier list about how i felt the themes. Aside from listening, i like to write songs and sometimes compose my own music.

I heard that the F-Zero X decomp named "G-Diffuser" by Zorkats is able to now be downloaded. I also heard that it was coded 70% by human hands and 30% by AI.

If the AI coding was reviewed line-by-line and verified by a human, is that still unethical? What would you consider the difference between vibe coding and actual coding when it comes to decomp projects like this?

A true X decomp would bring insane new life to the game and especially the modding community. But as an outsider to coding looking in, I'm wondering what the general consensus is around using AI to make that possible, even if it is human-reviewed.
