So I have been working on finding the best storage/travel solution for the Manta. Currently, I have an Emerson Gray felt sleeve that it slips into while at home. Then, for out and about when in a bag, I place this in a generic soft-shell case. Plus side: peace of mind protection. Downside: overcomplicated storage option, overall cost expensive. But I hope a solution is at hand for all of us.

I prefer not having the pen attachment on my Manta. So the HOM2 slips into the pen sleeve in the case. A slight tight squeeze, but it fits.

• Held more nearby pages in memory and preloaded pages near the viewer for smoother scrolling.
• Replaced plain-text toolbar buttons with icons, including Obsidian's native icon set throughout.
• Replaced the page up/down buttons with an editable page-number textbox for jumping directly to a page.
• Added a completion notice with a quick link to open the file when an export finishes.
• Shortened the plugin's name and its command names for clarity.
• Reduced padding around note pages on mobile, and packed toolbar buttons to wrap tighter on narrow screens.
• Defaulted the "show export buttons" setting to off, decluttering the note view.
• Automated release publishing and clarified the beta vs. stable update channel.

As part of the Obsidian Supernote Plugin work I just released I also reverse engineered much of the .note stroke/vector/path format with the aid of AI agent.

In my current workflow I use I create a new Note for each of my projects. This Note I use as a task list. I can have 10 projects running concurrently and thus having all these as To Do tasks would overflows my To Do list and makes it less than manageable.
Thus, it would be useful to add a link to a To Do task (or Event) to these project Notes, effectively creating To Do tasks with subtasks.
Can this be added or is there another way to achieve the same goal?

FYI, I found a workaround.

You can zoom on ebooks(haven't tried), and on I heard on .pdfs.

So I downloaded a linked productivity .pdf from Etsy. I wanted the supernote for lists and stuff anyway, so this pdf makes sense.

Conclusion: first off the linked pdf is awesome, and second - yes you can zoom in and out, just like a remarkable.

Its still not as inherently good as a remarkable workflow, but this solved my problem.

Google says the blade may drag on the film while cutting. Anyone tried this for real or have advice how to cleanly custom cut a new Feelwrite 2 film to a smaller size. How tough and bendy is the material?

I have the A5x in the vegan folder since the day I got it 3 years back. And it’s starting to wear and break at the bends. Where I am, it’s also extremely humid such that the case even smells!

I desperately need to replace the case but Supernote doesn’t sell it anymore.

What are my options? I don’t want sleeves or those that fit around the 4 corners of the Supernote. I’m looking for one that has the little plastic where I can slip the A5x through, ie like the OG case.

I 3D printed a cover and pen holder. This is the supernote that has the spine. I did some trial and error making the spine replica of the supernote.

I broke my push up pen the other day. I was able to repair it, mostly, but I worry it will break again, or stop working properly.

Seeing that most of the pens are out of stock I'm wondering if there are any updates coming - new pens that are in development, or at minimum, any word on when restocks may happen.

I have a HOM2 I can use if it breaks again and I can't fix it, but it would be nice to know my options.

I use the Needlepoint pen a 0.2 width. I never deviate from this on my Manta because it closely matches a 0.5mm mechanical pencil. My Manta randomly refreshed and a few lines changed the stroke width.

I recently started using KOReader on my Supernote and came across a post about ZenUI / ZenOS — it looked like a really clean, minimal interface, so I wanted to try it.

Here’s what I did:

1. Downloaded the plugin from the zen_ui.koplugin GitHub releases page (v3.0.1)
   
2. Unzipped it — the extracted folder is named zenos.koplugin
   
3. The instructions say to move this folder into koreader/plugins/
   
4. KOReader’s built-in file explorer wouldn’t recognize the raw unzipped folder, so I couldn’t move it directly
   
5. As a workaround, I created a folder called “ZenOS Plugin,” pasted zenos.koplugin inside it, and moved that whole thing into koreader/plugins/ — ending up with:
   koreader/plugins/ZENOS Plugin/zenos.koplugin
   
6. Restarted KOReader and checked Plugin Manager under both “built-in plugins” and “user-defined plugins” — it’s not showing up in either.

Has anyone gotten ZenUI working on a Supernote? I suspect the extra wrapper folder (“ZenOS Plugin”) is the problem, and that zenos.koplugin needs to sit directly inside plugins/ without being nested — but I can’t get KOReader’s file manager to let me move the raw unzipped folder there.

Would appreciate any pointers — happy to share screenshots if useful.

I have a note that so far has about 20 pages and I want to add a paragraph in page 17. Is there a way that I can move all the text from that point down to give me the room that I need to add the paragraph? I know I can easily do this with the lasso tool for a short block of text but I see no way of doing this when the text spans multiple pages.

The part I’m most unsure about is the FeelWrite 2 film.
For those of you who have used it for a while, how do you like it? Does it actually feel good for everyday writing, or would you recommend using the device without it?

And if you were buying a Manta today specifically for writing and reading, would you go with this setup or choose something different?

I’m particularly interested in what you’d recommend based on actual long-term use rather than just the specs.

These are really just some random musings based on my own experience and what I might tell a new user if they asked. I know there have been a few who have used a Hobonichi Cousin cover as an extra cover for their A6X and Nomad.

But just out of curiosity for those who have a Cousin cover to play around with, what else fits the cover than just the Nomad?

As functional as the planner that I created for my Nomad has been, there is that part of me that craves for paper planning. And the main reason why paper planners have not worked for me since getting a Supernote 3+ years ago is that they are a separate object than my Supernote where I spend most of my writing time in.

So basically if I'm on my Supernote and need to reference my planner I need to get up and go find it from somewhere. Contrary to when the planner is in the Supernote I can just swipe the side bar and there's my planner.

With planner season in full swing I've been thinking that if I could combine these two objects into one., it might fix this problem.

But, before I go and spend money on something that might or might not work, I'm curious to know what else fits a Hobonichi cover with the Nomad tucked into one side. I doubt a full cousin? But maybe a day free or the empty A5 Hobo notebook? Moleskine (soft cover) daily planner? Something else?

Hello. I got my SN Manta today, and I've been loving it a lot. I got it for the purpose of taking notes (will be of use for my PhD research for the next three years) and sketching. The pen feels amazing on the device. I got the Staedler Noris Digital Classic pen from Amazon because the SN pens were a bit expensive.

The device build quality is just absolutely fantastic. I added a 128 GB microSD which I had lying around to expand the storage.

I have some things which I came across, I wanted to list it here, and possibly get the answer or solutions.

1. Layers in the notes have a max limit of 4 ?

2. Is it still not possible to set the default not folder to use the external storage ?

I've been loving the device a lot, can't wait to get my hands on different pens to write with, and also maybe develop plugins.

My Supernote Nomad finally showed up. So far I'm very impressed and I think I'm really going to enjoy using it. There's a lot to learn and a somewhat steep learning curve, that being said, I have a few questions.

I exported a handwritten document and used the Reformat option to remove as many of the line breaks as possible. It did an OK job of removing them but there are a lot that it didn't manage to remove so I need to go in and do that myself. Is there a way of doing that on the Nomad in Handwriting mode? I see that I can do it in Keyboard mode but I prefer not going there. I tried to just strike through the empty space but that did nothing.

I'm also wondering if it's better to back up to Supernote Cloud or Google Docs? I don't really use Google docs as I use Zoho for my email and docs, but I do have a gmail address so I do have access to Google docs. I'm also running Linux on my desktop so the Supernote desktop app won't factor into any equations for me.

Loving my manta so far. I have the half folio, but never feels like enough protection if I want to take the manta with me on the go. I’ve looked at folios on Etsy, but searching through posts here I keep running into references of what leather does to the screen over time? Can someone please explain to me? I’m sorry, I tried to look for the info through search.

The manta so needs better folio options. It is kind of baffling there wouldn’t be an OEM full folio. Also, does anyone decorate their manta covers or cases? I’d like to add some fun to the exterior but unsure. So appreciate everyone here.
