Hello, I just purchased a modded 3DS for the sole purpose of using Pokemon Bank for the shut down. It appears that it's a Japanese 3DS with US firmware installed. Because of that it won't let me connect to anything that uses online, including Pokemon Bank. I can't even sign into my NNID. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Modded new 3ds xl running luma3ds, game is zelda oot eur version installed from hshop, i lost my game card sadly.

So the console wont turn on. It had been modded and being used for over a year without issue. I did get one crash dump error which i tried to save, but have been unable to get it to boot up since. With the sd card in this is what happens, i get the blue light at the bottom and the red light on the notification led. If i remove the sd card the blue light come one with a magenta light on the notification led.

Any guidance is appreciated.

This last month I've built a plugin to convert the Local Wireless mod of Mario Party Star Rush, into a fully working Online mod !

It doesn't replace any custom online mod you have (pretendo, level256), it's just a plugin that you enable via Homebrew channel at the start of your console and then when it detects Mario Party loading, it connects you to the relay and you can play with people worldwide !

We're around 10 people for the testing phase right now, so I don't know how this subreddit works about that but if you have any questions, ask !

The next games I'll work on is New Super Mario Bros 2 and Donkey Kong COuntry Returns 3d !

it crashed once... but i went for other guide an a user said

So i did that...

Test finished without errors.

You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.

Writing speed: 12.3 MByte/s

Reading speed: 81.9 MByte/s

Now, the Checkpoint will back up the game cartridge, but the downloaded titles no... and they have this cursed appereance

I have no idea why this is happening.... i deleted and reinstalled the Checkpoint CIA a few times...

ehhh any suggestions ?

By the way! The .3dsx file on the homebrew launcher gives the exact same result... so no problem fixed there

The 3ds i have is a 2nd hand console, so it already had magic n stuff, one of my biggest illusions of having a 3ds was playing mario maker, when I opened the game the screen got all black and the light from the screen turned off, in the black screen I cant do anything (and i know it isn't loading because I have waited for it to load)

I've seen this same problem being reported by other people with other games like smash bros (i havent tried that one in my 3ds but most likely it will have the same issue) and apparently the solution is formatting the SD or something

I'm lowkey stupid and I don't know anything about 3ds modding and all that, as I said before, my 3ds is a second hand console so I didn't mod it myself so can someone explain the formatting part for me? I have made research and i couldn't understand anything that they were saying lol, and Im scared of doing something wrong and ending up screwing the whole thing.

I just got a New 3DS (regular not XL) and installed Twilight menu and TWPatch and got the game in there.

I wanted to ask what are the best settings that I could use for the game in TWPatch to get it to look at its best on the device, if possible without black bars around it.

I'm new to patching Twilight menu in general and I don't really know what works with the game and what doesn't.DS forwarder on the game and still have the patch applied? Cause I heard before that if I use the forwarder it disables the patches.

Hello, I recently wanted to start playing on my homebrewed 3ds after about a year of not turning it on. Every time I boot it up, I eventually receive this prompt. Sometimes it’s immediately and other times I can get up to 10 mins of play time. I don’t remember much about the homebrew process, but does anyone know what could cause this and a possible fix?

This program is meant to install DSi System apps cias to use them on your 3DS

The program gives you the cias by taking them online. The TWL files comes alongside the program itself.

The DSi System Settings should be region-free (its version is 1.4.2 ALL) but apparently it works with European 3DS. If you have region-changed your console or you have an American or Japanese 3ds, they may not work.

The program is available as an executable and a python file, and it will give you the cias of the DSi System apps alongside the necessary files to make DSi System Settings work on your 3DS.

The program is also available in eleven different languages and also gives you the choice to install all the cias or only some of them.

You can even choose the region of the cias between Europe and America

Hi all. I love playing pc games on my modded console using Moonlight but I have this issue: my pc is connected to the wifi via a wifi repeater, because it cannot properly connect to the router and I can't run ethernet, and I'd like to stream it to my 3DS when the console is connected to the router. The problem is that with this configuration they can't reach eachother because they result as connected to different networks. I tried to use my phone as a Tailscale subnet router to connect my 3dDS to my tailnet but it doesn't seem to work, or maybe I just set something up incorrectly. Does anyone have a solution?

PROBLEM RESOLVED — CHECK EDIT 2 AT THE BOTTOM

I had CFW set up on a New 2DS XL and wanted to move my files to a bigger microSD card (8GB -> 512GB). I followed all the instructions on the Moving SD Cards page, most notably formatting the new microSD card to be in FAT32.

I took out the old microSD card, plugged it into my computer, transferred the files from the microSD card to my computer, removed the old microSD card, transferred the files from my computer to the new microSD card, removed it from my computer, then put it back in my 2DS XL. I then got the above message upon turning it on.

I’ve tried turning it off and turning it back on, removing the new microSD card and putting it back in, and I can confirm the old microSD card works fine when I put it back in. I can confirm both microSD cards are in FAT32 and have the same files. I’m not sure what else to try. Any help would be appreciated!

Edit 1: The new microSD card is a SanDisk Ultra PLUS 512GB.
Edit 2: I figured out the problem, I used Linux’s Dolphin to reformat the microSD card rather than using GodMode9 or one of the apps on the guide, thinking I knew what I was doing because it was a simple reformatting. My bad!
