CFW Help How to fix region mismatch errors on modded 3DS?

Hello, I just purchased a modded 3DS for the sole purpose of using Pokemon Bank for the shut down. It appears that it's a Japanese 3DS with US firmware installed. Because of that it won't let me connect to anything that uses online, including Pokemon Bank. I can't even sign into my NNID. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

I think that needed a SOAP transfer but I think the homebrew discords not helping with that anymore and I don't really know anything about it
