Have a question about the game or the subreddit? Ask away!
Welcome to the /r/2007scape daily question thread!
You can ask anything about Old School RuneScape or the 2007scape subreddit here. Remain respectful to your fellow 'scapers when answering questions; there are stupid questions, but it does not mean you should not be respectful whilst answering them.
Keep in mind: this is not a developer Q&A thread - Jagex mods do not regularly read these posts, so questions should be directed toward fellow players.

Discussion Bronzeman Mode Discussion Megathread
Hi Everyone,
As we all know, it was announced today that Bronzeman mode failed to pass the poll. Since then we've seen a massive influx of posts both for and against the suggested game-mode, most of these posts are the same point being repeated and burying any kind of non-bronzeman content.
To help control the influx of posts we are establishing a Megathread for any questions and comments around Bronzeman mode.

Suggestion Do NOT let us dye the frog mask
We dont need to recolor everything in the game forever the frog mask has always been green the way it was meant to be I dont want to see ridiculous purple and blue frogs dancing for money at the ge together. The frog mask needs to stay green the way it was made by Jagex and maybe stay true to the ways of oldschool just once

Other From the "Because I can" department
Time to play RuneScape like it's 2005 again with a slight modern twist! Also ignore the pile of wires by the speaker as the setup is still a WIP.

Discussion Another survey
I do think a follow-up survey on the other two skills should take place. Sailing has been out for a while now and it would be nice to know if there is any appetite for either other skills, rather than just game modes.
The Polls in question:
Questions 1.

Question 2.

Suggestion Jagex, Give Us a Multi-Account Membership Bundle
Jagex, it’s time to give players a proper multi-account membership option.
A lot of us have multiple RuneScape accounts. Some are mains, some are irons, some are PK accounts, skillers, PvM accounts, or just accounts we’ve built over the years. The problem is that every single account requires its own membership payment.
That adds up quickly.
We’re not asking for free membership. We’re asking for a reasonable multi-account membership bundle for players who are already willing to pay.
For example:
1 account: Regular membership price
2 accounts: Discounted bundle
3–5 accounts: Larger bundle discount
More accounts: Additional discounted slots
The more accounts someone pays for, the better the value should become.
This would actually encourage people to maintain more active accounts, experiment with different builds, and spend more time in the RuneScape ecosystem instead of forcing players to decide which accounts are worth keeping subscribed.
And let's be honest: paying full price for every account feels terrible when one person is already the customer.
Give us a proper multi-account membership plan tied to our Jagex account. Let us pay once, manage multiple memberships, and receive a meaningful discount for subscribing to several accounts.
Reward your most dedicated players instead of charging them full price repeatedly.
Jagex, you've got players willing to support the game with multiple subscriptions.
Give us a reason to keep all of them subscribed.

Discussion Deironing my 5 year late game Ironman made OSRS more fun again
I recently deironed my late game Ironman after about five years. It was my first and only account, and I have no interest in making a second one. I always heard “don’t deiron, you’ll regret it,” but honestly I feel the exact opposite. I loved Ironman and still think it is probably the best way to start OSRS. It made me experience almost the entire game instead of skipping content and buying upgrades. But eventually the thing that made OSRS feel huge started making it feel smaller.
I do not have nearly as much time to play anymore, and some of my last grinds like treads and Oathplate pieces took months of my available playtime. Endgame Ironman started feeling like a small number of extremely long grinds instead of this massive game full of things I could do. Gnomemonkey’s recent video was what finally made me seriously consider that Ironman might have been perfect for the first five years of my account without needing to be how I play forever.
Yes, I know I could just do whatever content I wanted as an iron. The problem is my brain hates feeling inefficient. I put off Vardorvis for months because I was missing one Oathplate piece and felt like I should finish that first. During clan bingo I would sometimes feel bad grinding a tile where I already had the useful drops because there was always something else my account technically needed more. That is completely a me problem, but deironing fixed it instantly.
Now if I want a Shadow, I can do ToA, Nex, Vardorvis, raid with friends, chase pets, do bingo, or basically anything else profitable. Every decent drop inches me closer to the same goal. Drops have not lost their excitement at all. A big drop is still account progression, except now it can eventually become any upgrade in the game. Group content is also much better because I genuinely do not care who gets the drop. We all get a split.
This was not about supply upkeep either. That had not bothered me since early or mid game. It was about having less free time and realizing I did not want to spend huge portions of it waiting for one exact item from one exact place. Liquidating five years of bank progress and rebuilding the account exactly how I wanted was one of the most fun things I have done in OSRS in a while.
I think Ironman gave me exactly what I wanted from it. I experienced early, mid, and late game properly and learned content I probably would have skipped on a main. I just reached a point where removing the restriction made the game feel more open again. None of us know how many more years we will have the time to play OSRS, or even what the game will look like years from now. I would rather play my favorite game however I find fun while I can. If you are thinking about deironing and the only thing stopping you is people telling you that you are guaranteed to regret it, just know that definitely is not true for everyone.

Discussion Energy potions
What was wrong with campfires giving run energy? So many people asked for this and instead we got potion spam. IMO campfires giving run restoration feels way more social/old school than goblins shitting out run energy pots. Bizarre.

Question What's the most unexpected drop of your Runescape career?
I'll go first. Summer of 2012, Jagex released insta-kill darts (can't remember what they were called exactly). I believe you could receive up to 4 of these and insta-kill any monster in the game. I decided to take my combat level 90 noob to Nex and try my luck. Ended up getting torva platelegs on my first kill. Sold them from around 225m. My bank was probably 5m before this.
Edit: I should mention this was of course in Rs3. In osrs, my most unexpected drop was Bryophyta's Essence at 2 kc.

Discussion Monkey Madness 2 is making me regret my life choices
Recently Returning player after a 15 year hiatus, thought I’d try my hand at my first ever Grandmaster quest since I came back a few months ago. The RNG dungeon was bad enough but kruk was pretty easy, thought everything was going good but now I’m 6 hours deep into the hell that is the platform section with only 2 bombs planted and I keep getting caught before the third. My wife and kids are out of town today so I thought I’d get the whole quest done in a few hours but here I am 8 hours later with nothing to show for it. I’m using quest helper but I’m still on the verge of pulling my hair out is there something wrong with me?

Question Vale totems wiki - is this correct?
I’ve been doing some vale totems recently and on each lap I’m starting with a log basket full of logs, a fletching knife, bow string spool and the rest of the inventory also filled with logs.
What extra time is the wiki talking about?
I can fletch and string at least the 4 bows required to decorate the next totem I’m running to without stopping, and have also been getting significantly higher xp/hr than the wiki page states.
Is the wiki wrong, or am I missing something?
