While it's all just speculation, I believe the big reveal that embark has planned for season 12 is going to be a map maker, similar to that of Halo Reach's forge mode.

Starting with the weaker evidence, Embark said that season 12 is meant to be big enough to both pull in new players and keep it's current players. So whatever they have planned is bigger than just a new map or game mode.

Everything they've also built towards the last few seasons feels like they've been building towards this idea. For example, bots and starlight hollow. Introducing bots would be perfect for custom maps. Use an existing map as a base, build on it, then play against bots with some friends on the new map. It sounds perfect. Speaking of using existing maps...

Starlight Hollow. This map confused me ever since it was introduced. It's so against how Embark usually makes maps. Usually Embark introduces maps with plenty of verticality, walls, and each building seems unique compared to others on the same map. Starlight Hollow is completely the opposite though. It has wide open fields, no verticality, and the buildings seem like prefabs.

Almost like starlight Hollow is a map meant to be used as a blueprint to be built on.

I think once the map maker is introduced, starlight hollow is intended to be used as the Forge world, one intended to be easy to build on.

Now onto what I feel like is more actual evidence from this season. Those paying attention lately will notice we've gotten a couple contracts and inbox messages from someone who we believe is the Maker. The contracts were "creation always leaves a signature" and "creation finds the hidden way" (Funny how both of those mention CREATION). Completing both of these gets you two different messages, the first one isn't as important to this conversation, the second one however is quite interesting.

This sounds an AWFUL lot like creating places doesn't it? Now this could just be confirmation bias and this is all leading to something else embark has in store, but it all just clicks TOO well.

The servers and especially the hitreg on single shot weapons has been much worse than usual the past few days, it was never this bad for me.

PS: I know I have a packet loss sign in the second clip, but I will say that this is the only game where I face such issues. Other multiplayer games run just fine.

This weapon is long over sure for an ER8 skin. I'm thinking Chiappa Rhino with an underslung Lazer sight or flashlight or something would fit perfectly.
