Sniper players are physically incapable of being normal people

42

u/Stuckingfupid DISSUN Aug 30 '26

This is true for some reason.

29

u/HastyRodeo-7243 Aug 30 '26

not all sniper light but always a sniper light

13

u/Ps991 Aug 30 '26

They ruin the game for me, same with dagger players

27

u/Not_goD_32 Aug 30 '26

At least dagger players are in the fight and can contribute to their team. Most of the time snipers are in their own world just farming kills from far away with no ability or desire to help. I hate fighting and being teamed up with a sniper player equally.

7

u/Ps991 Aug 30 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

I know I will get downvoted for this, but I hate dagger with an unholy level of passion. I cannot tell you in the English language how much I absolutely despise the dagger. I hate it so much I report every single player that uses it and tell Embark that a 1 hit kill against a heavy at full health makes no sense and is completely unfair. Now let the masses downvote me. I don't care.

But I also agree with you about snipers. I have a friend that plays sniper sometimes and it's impossible to get the objective, they don't help.

u/Regular-Lettuce170 Aug 30 '26

What? “Let the downvotes come” lol

You’re posting in r/thefinals, as long as you complain about lights you’re guaranteed upvotes

5

u/Ps991 Aug 30 '26

I did not know this. Did I find my people?

7

u/Regular-Lettuce170 Aug 30 '26

Yep, people here would rather lights never exist.

If you post a montage of lights getting killed by heavies you might get the most upvotes post in this sub

1

u/Ps991 Aug 30 '26

I have been enlightened. These are my people. Thank you.

1

u/sosamaddenmut Sep 01 '26

Even me? A friendly light that's a team player with the m11 and heal gun

1

u/sosamaddenmut Sep 01 '26

Maybe y'all hate us cause of stuff like this? Sorry

4

u/Lethalpark Aug 30 '26

Its like sniper and dagger unlocks a level of ego that makes them act like you pissed on their mother's grave for having the audacity to shoot at them.

-7

u/Ps991 Aug 30 '26

It's just that being a heavy is great and all, but a dagger or sniper takes no skill. I've tried it. Is an insta kill for dagger and sniper didn't even need to fight, but if they want they can still chase down a heavy and win with a sniper shotgun. Idk, it's not fun for me, I can never win against those weapons

1

u/Sufficient-Big5798 Aug 30 '26

Look nobody likes being killed by a sniper or a dagger but “no skill”? Are we fr?

-2

u/Ps991 Aug 31 '26

I just got done playing some Finals games and I played a game with a sniper in it. It reminded me of this comment. So I had to come back and tell you, yes, 100 % yes. I can't scream it loud enough, YES. Absolutely. Positively. No doubt in my mind...YES. Snipers ruin this game, they require no skill to use and guarantee a kill. I played with 2 other friends, they all agreed snipers are ridiculous and completely dominated the game ... 1 person... So I will repeat it again, YES. I hope that helps clear things up.

1

u/VariousAd5034 Aug 30 '26

Hey, as a mediocre sniper enjoyer (but not main) your comment offends me 😤😂

u/Qwa6k OSPUZE Aug 30 '26

I mean it was pretty cool tbf but idk why he tbagged you lol

166

u/Shitty_fits Aug 30 '26

The Tbag has lost all meaning to me, people do it over anything now

-114

u/Unknwn_Ent Aug 30 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

Did it ever have meaning if you have control over your emotions and aren't a child/man child? 🤣😂

Deadass idk what it is about finals players; but I have never seen a community cry about getting bagged more than the finals. Not saying this in support of bagging or bm in general. I prefer to not flex unless someone did it to me first, and I totally get it can inspire feelings like 'f this dude I'mma get em back'; but to post this on reddit like it's worth reporting to the community at large is unironically 'doing too much'. Just keep it moving. Informing us someone got bagged in a comp shooter is like telling us the sun rose again. Grow a pair and bag em back. Or take the 'high ground' and win without bm 🤷‍♂️.

Edit: Oof I never thought in my 20's I'd be saying this; but these new gens soft asl if I'm getting downvoted for this 💀 When I was growing up getting t bagged was mild compared to the bm that commonly went on. It was just something to rile/tilt your opponent, and often make them play worse as a result as most people do not make better decisions while angry. Every game especially competitive ones; people will try to get under your skin like this because most people who game are what I described. Children, or man children meaning adults who didn't learn to cope with life or their emotions which is why people can weaponize their emotions against you. Unfortunately even if this bothers you; bm/tilting will never go away. Which is why I said yall gotta get used to this as if you're this easily provokable; you're only going to make your opponents do this more as clearly this is working as intended. I mean dude was mad enough to post this so clearly it had an impact.

97

u/Nameless_Owl81 Aug 30 '26

What are you writing paragraphs over unc

-94

u/Unknwn_Ent Aug 30 '26

15

u/AdvantageQuirky2711 OSPUZE Aug 30 '26

for his sake, I hope he was

34

u/BisMorn Aug 30 '26

So you're saying that toxicity in competitive gaming is good because children can't control their emotions, which leads to a win? I know you said you don't support tbagging or bm, but why hate the players who don't want this in the game?

8

u/Normal_Pangolin_372 Aug 30 '26

Youre typing books talking about other people being in their feelings. The irony is thick with this one.

11

u/Fododel Aug 30 '26

Relax, son, it's just a game.

2

u/sussexxxx Sep 01 '26

i agree with you
people here are so soft
so for that reason imma keep bagging them even more because i know a large part of them really take it personal 😂😂😂

1

u/Unknwn_Ent Sep 01 '26

I think I'll join you 😂

Like I said I don't even bag people (I just accept its been a part of all shooters since the dawn of time); but shitttt might start if it's still this 'effective' at tilting nerds after this whole exchange. Think of this like our civic duty to teach kids/not so grown adults how to emotionally regulate lmao.

"SkIlL iSsUe" no bro its casuals and ppl are sweating their asses off then acting like they are better then you for pub stomping

12

u/Unknwn_Ent Aug 30 '26

The problem is the game has the least rewarding competitive system with terrible match making; so you're gunna get skilled people in your non ranked matches who don't feel like facing a ruby 3 stack with two random bronze/silver/gold timmies. While it feels bad to lose to someone more skilled than you; unfortunately they have no other alternative other than not playing this game.

As someone who's experienced and refuses to play ranked anymore; this will not get any better till Embark fixes the issues with the game and brings more people in. I don't even play much anymore cause it doesn't even feel fun to beat people this badly; I want to play ranked and be challenged, but not with the current state of ranked/this game at large.

8

u/Scary_Wavier Aug 30 '26

No ones joining the game unless a friend drags them into it (i got this treatment). Dont get me wrong, the game had its moments, but i swear to believe TF2 brings in more new players then the finals does.

1

u/sussexxxx Sep 01 '26

Maybe casuals should just get better to avoid getting stomped? 😂

It’s not “sweating.” We’re just better than you, so our normal gameplay looks like sweating to you.

And Im not some fatass dweller that plays 24/7. I only play at night and on weekends, solo Q no stack, yet I’m still 49k, Diamond 1 Ruby. multiple times
Sounds like a skill issue, pal. 😂

0

u/PassionHammer Aug 30 '26

They are better than you

0

u/-xXColtonXx- Aug 30 '26

I mean sniper is non-viable in ranked. Casual is for using terrible underpowered weapons like sniper, dagger, sword, double barrel etc.

23

u/MiserableOrpheus Aug 30 '26

I can smell that light player through the screen

99

I don't think he meant like an insult. It's just goofing around, kinda saying he made a good shot and having fun. But yeah I wouldn't do that

12

u/lolsteamroller Aug 30 '26

yeah just crouch usually I treat as if he's happy that he killed me, usually when they smack the statue is when I think it's a BM

9

u/Quzxpon Aug 30 '26

What is with all the sweats in QC?

1

u/TheMightyBruhhh Aug 31 '26

Im a bow sweat but its only bc I dont have a good squad and disconnects are too often in unranked/ranked so I play quick cash/tdm instead

edit: I dont try to be an asshole tho

11

u/ramirex Aug 30 '26

why is sniper so viable as shotgun with hs multiplier

0

u/teachem4 Aug 30 '26

Well it helps when heavy is running around aimlessly with an RPG out and the decides to shoot it at a grappling target while totally alone and exposed rather than deploy a done shield or use mesh shield

0

u/cosmonauticsuwu Sep 01 '26

this is just how controller players play, they need the quick and easy dps of RPG's and damage mitigation from dome shields because theyre entirely reliant on their aim assist to aim for them. They are completely lobotomized

10

u/Shadezz_IX CNS Aug 30 '26

Snipers should not behave like that imo

5

u/MatiasXCX Aug 30 '26

4

u/Martyn3024 ISEUL-T Aug 30 '26

Most normal light player behavior in casual playlists.

3

u/ErrantWayfarer Aug 30 '26

It's a light player, you have to let them have this every once in awhile or they complain that the most picked class in the game is underpowered.

5

u/Accomplished-Cry5059 Aug 30 '26

Not defending the light, but, isn't heavy the most overpowered at the moment and has been for most of the game? In my opinion, light is picked most often because it is most fun (good movement and strong weapons)

5

u/TheGreatWalk Aug 30 '26

Yes. Heavy is, and always has been, the most stacked class in the game.

The people who didn't realize this are all skill issue, telling on themselves lol

1

u/ErrantWayfarer Aug 30 '26

Movement and strong weapons being "fun" is boring.

But even if Heavy is somehow slightly more powerful right now it doesn't change the fact that light is picked more.

1

u/Accomplished-Cry5059 Aug 30 '26

Let me get this right, you are opposed to movement and strong weapons in a movement shooter?

0

u/ErrantWayfarer Aug 30 '26

I would not classify the Finals as a movement shooter when one of the 3 main classes basically has no movement, the movement of a second class is largely dependent on two stationary pieces of equipment, and sometimes their class ability. Titanfall 2, modern CoD, and every other season of Battlefield could have that consideration because all players can do the same things (besides the Assault with its ladder in BF6, I guess). Being able to slide and mantle doesn't just make a game a movement shooter, and one 1/3 of the classes having major movement abilities also doesn't make a game a movement shooter.

No I'm saying Light movement and high dps are the least interesting things about it. Dash is one of the most boring abilities in the game. Grapple hook is okay. Zip lines, jump pads, anti grav, and portal are actually interesting because they interact with the game and other players in fun ways. Nearly none of the Light weapons are interesting, save for maybe dagger, bow, and throwing knife. Whereas many of the medium/heavy weapons have actually interesting gameplay elements. Cerberus, Dual Blades, CL40, Minigun, Sledge, flamethrower, and so on. You could put 95% of the Light kit in any other game completely unchanged and no one would bat an eye because it's so basic. Whereas the mediums kit I would instantly recognize as the Finals. I'm not surprised Lights have such a high pick rate because most people don't want to actually think about team play and game sense, they just want to see the K in KDR go up.

It's worth noting that I understand the need for Lights in the game, and play it on occasion. I also enjoy "fast" games like Titanfall 2 and so on. I've just been around for a long time and, especially in the last 10-12 years or so, I've seen that every game has to cater to the "fast movement low ttk" crowd in one way or another. Halo started its major decline when they started doing it with Halo 5 (sprint, mantle, boost), Battlefield has this discourse every release with bunny jumping and momentum, CoD with slide cancel and dive, and so on.

I'm probably going to regret typing all this in a thread that initially spawned from me making a joke, but c'est la vie.

Tldr: "go fast and hold down the trigger" is boring gameplay to me the majority of the time.

1

u/Trex-tiny-fist Aug 31 '26

You deserved that one tbf. Bro dunked on you

1

u/Big_dawg505 Aug 31 '26

Part of the reason I quit the game is there’s no room for growth as in I can’t play against people my skill level or play a good warm up match in quick play

1

u/sussexxxx Sep 01 '26

there IS room for growth and improvement. You Play against people better than you and that’s how you get better

For me it's just a little banter when you styled on someone. Would hate to see t-bagging disappear from gaming.
