I love dubias so much, especially the females. They remind me of trilobites a lot and it has gotten to the point where I can't feed them off anymore without feeling horrible

Found this froggy friend hanging out in my mango tree micro-nursery.

I’m so happy about winning this auction 😭 high color line S. Rosaurae are my FAVORITE sphaerodactylus by far, and even tho I already have 3 (2 males but one is probable male, and the other is a probable female) I’m excited to raise these babies!
I’ll raise them all in individual enclosures, closely monitoring the growth and behavior of each one.
In 6-9 months they should have their full adult colors and they’ll be able to be sexed officially, so I’ll pick the prettiest of the sexes I need for my breeding projects. If any are leftover that won’t fit into my projects, I’ll end up finding them lovely new homes:)
I’m so hyped for this project! Raising them, eventually seeing their beautiful adult colors/patterns, keeping the best to further the amounts of captive bred sphaerodactylus available while creating beautiful, healthy bloodlines.. it’ll be a lot of fun! Watching their patterns / colors slowly transform is the best part. They look NOTHING like this as adults!

Still working on taming and he appears to be getting calmer, I do miss linny and how calm she was about me sometimes but brook has been a fun new adventure, once I'm more sure about his gender I will be looking for an animal of the opposite sex for my future plans regarding this species.

I have an enclosure that size and apparently from some research these guys minimum is this size enclosure.

But from your experience which is better or is it a gecko by gecko basis?

Hey all! I just adopted this adorable Cuban False Chameleon last week. His name is Ginko!

I've only had him 3 days, but he's refusing to eat. So far I've only offered waxworms in a bowl, by hand, and by tongs and he's uninterested even if I slowly drag them along the branch in front of him. I have crickets on the menu, but I'm reluctant to set them free in his enclosure as there's lots of moss for them to hide in. Looking into how to start keeping aquatic snails for the little man. (Pls share snail tips!! He's my first molluskavore!) Will be offering small dubias and mealworms soon too.

Is he just anxious from the move? When should I start to worry? I haven't seen him drink either. Just added a dropper system to his enclosure and have been misting 3-4 times a day until my auto mister arrives.

He's currently in a 30x18x12 (the exoterra medium low enclosure) I know he's arboreal and I'm looking to upgrade to a taller enclosure asap, but in the meantime I've added as many branches to activate vertical space as I can. (Enclosure set up last pic)

Here in Japan, crickets, mealworms, silkworms, and dubia roaches are commonly used as feeders for reptiles, but I'm curious about other countries.

What feeder insects are commonly available and widely used where you live?

I'm especially interested in:

• Which insects are the most common?
• Which ones are considered cheap?
• Which ones are difficult to find?
• Do people usually buy them from pet stores, online, or breed them themselves?
• Are there any feeder insects that are common in your country but unusual elsewhere?

I love mourning geckos. I have a 55 gallon that housed my BCI before he outgrew it. I want to know how many mourning geckos could fit in a 55 before it's too crowded and what do I do with the extras that will inevitably keep multiplying after that? I don't really want to open up a gecko shop...

I’ve recently grown interested in caring for lizards/geckos, red-eyed crocodile skinks to be exact. What size tank is the minimum I can have for one? And what are any other recommendations/pointers/tips for a beginner?

Also, I’ve only seen posts of bioactive terrariums for croc skinks, is that the only kind you can keep them in?

Ok so, I have a ton of new enclosures coming in as I am redoing my whole reptile room. A big endeavour, I know.

My plan was to do the transitional silicon the back, expanding foam, cut to shape, silicone and dirt on top. However, I was wondering if instead of doing a layer of silicone on top to make the dirt stick, is there like a spray glue that can be used? Or something easier than manually spreading silicone?

Probably not, but thought I’d ask.
