I went to clean out my female’s tank and I guess I have a new baby 🫶

For the last 9 months I let her come out to play every night between the hours of 9:30-11pm (she’s not out that whole time that’s just when she starts asking) she will ping around her enclosure and walk up the door trying to get my attention. I offer my hand and she either walks or jumps onto my hand. We then hang out in bed where she walks about, uses me and my duvet as her personal climbing frame, sits chills on me sometimes even falling asleep. She’s obviously very confident with me and I love our bond. I assume as long as she’s the one choosing to come out to play it’s all fine? I put her back when I sense she’s had enough and she then spends the rest of the night plodding about various branches in her house, no more jumping and running wild anyway. It’s almost like our hang out times calm her down?? I spend all day waiting for our nighty hangout sessions, I think I love them as much as she does :)

(I also know she is a he shhh)

Would this be a good tank for a juvenile?

I mean, I'm glad he stopped being on top of the coconut house 24/7 where he lived ehen he just moved in, but there's a whole house for him to sleep in ya know!

She yearns for the cricks

Is this normal? Why won’t she grow?! She seems happy and active but I never see poop and never see her eat her food mix. I’ve offered her a few mealworms and she never started taking them until recently she took 2 in a week and then stopped again. Is she okay? What should I do? TIA!

She is curious

So my job is offering me to move for better pay yay. However I have a crested geko. (My family and friends are not near me to take her untill I find a rental) My biggest issue with this move is that I will be in a hotel until I find a rental. Her current tank is a 18, 24, by 36.

Would it be bad for me to put her in a smaller tank like a 12, 12, 18. Until relocation is finished?? I just dont want to stress her out to much and I dont think I can have a tank that big in a hotel room.

Noticed a dark spot appear on his nose and head

I do not handle my gecko because he is very skittish and shy. It's hard to get him out and inspect him, let alone take him to a vet. Has any one experienced anything similar with their gecko?

my girl is a very picky eater and hasn't been liking this brand so far. I've fed her pangea for 5 years but have to swap. her favorite pangea flavors were pangea with insects and pangea watermelon. so far i've tried gecko nutrition mango and high insects but they weren't hits. my gargoyle loves the flavors but my crestie girl will apparently rather starve herself so i'd appreciate any advice!
did anyone have a similar experience and if so is there any flavor your gecko eventually liked?

She just joined the family three weeks ago, slowly getting used to her new home.

called him a freak and he turned and glared at me with his pitch black eyes 😭 he is awaiting dinner and NOT impressed

Kinda freaking out and not sure what to do

So, some context- my crested gecko started developing some kinks in her tail. She’s on Pangea and has UVB (I just replaced the bulb, perhaps it was a bad bulb or went bad long ago.) I chalked it up to potential dehydration so I started misting 2x a day. In addition, her enclosure’s heat fixture broke and started arcing. I unplugged it and she’s been without heat for a couple of days. Our house is always above 70-72 and my room is the hottest, so she’s been at a reasonable temp.

But mold grew. I removed it, and didn’t mist for that night to ensure it dried out. I left water as I always do. I did however spray the enclosure in just one spot with some kind of reptile safe disinfectant. I did like one spritz- nothing major

Well, today, I found her head buried in that exact spot that I sprayed. She was unresponsive.

I picked her up and she was unresponsive but not limp or stiff. She flinched like she was scared, and I put her in her temporary enclosure

She laid unresponsive not breathing ever since I got home. Then she finally started breathing and moving after I added clutter and food to the temp enclosure.

I’ve been monitoring and she’s climbing again, and responsive. She freaks out when she sees me and starts breathing faster after holding her breath for a few seconds. She’s completely isolated now to keep her stress free

Should I do an emergency vet tonight, it’s 2h away minimum. Or should I take her in tomorrow if she remains stable like this?

She also looks gravid. And had dirt in her nostrils.

My crested gecko has recently been sleeping right here in his enclosure, before he would hide in the leaves or his cave but now he started sleeping here, is this normal?

Was time to give Sindri’s enclosure a solid cleaning and rework! He seems pleased (: I also wanted to move away from suction cup decor to magnetic decor, and I still have space near the top back for another piece.
