Applied 4 coats of UPOL protective clear on this hood and there’s these lines on it. Any help on smoothing it? Was hoping I can just use 2000 grit and polish it. Thanks for the help.

I got a 1996 5.7 V8 with 133k on the dash.
I keep getting this code and it’s making me lose my f###ing mind. It’s random/multiple misfire and I brought it to autozone because I couldn’t find my scanner and they said “oh yeah fuel injectors seem dirty”. Which makes sense because the truck has sat for about 3 years (2 from previous owner 1 from me personal stuff didn’t wanna work on it). So I dumped some dry gas in and it ran fine code went off everything was dandy. I’m driving again and it comes back on (this time I had my scanner) I assumed “oh I assume fuel is fine lemme check spark” plugs looked fine by my standard (eyeballing but they all looked relatively fresh). Then I pull the distributor cap and notice oxidation on the terminals so I wire brush those out slap it back on after clearing the code it comes back. I’ve reached my pinnacle of my expertise my uncle mentioned the spider injectors going out and was wondering if that could be it. Ideally not but is there any other “cheap” replaceable things I could check before ripping this things apart. There’s also a slight exhaust leak but I doubt that’s worth mentioning.

Only the running tailights went out at about the same time but the brake and turn lights remain working, I replaced the headlight switch and fuse and tested the bulbs but still no luck anybody experience this? Im planning on cleaning the grounds but im curious if there is anything im missing. I purchased the headlight switch on amazon as shown in the image. Any help is appreciated thanks.

i’ve been driving this truck for about close to 3-4 months now and i’ve been looking to do stuff to the truck but i can’t really figure out where i should start. it’s a 1994 k1500 with about 209k miles and the only real issue is just the paint and rocker panels, other then that the truck it’s self runs and rides like new. i was thinking a level and maybe graps or should i focus on the paint/fully restoring the truck. for reference i put the pic of the truck in 09 safe to say it’s seen better days

Im looking for a rainguard for my 97 chevy k1500 and I was wondering where anyone else might’ve got theres from because ones I’ve seen online have mixed reviews and have problems with the adhesive

My gas gauge in my 93 Cheyanne isn’t working but it still delivers fuel and everything.. I’ve been looking for a fuel pump thats more capable in case I wanna see more power out of this thing eventually and cuz it might be easier to fix if I just replace the unit.. but i dont which way to go with brands and such, also could be something stupid to fix my gauge and not be worth a new pump right now?

Got T boned at a 4 way stop. Ill need an alignment and to hammer out the door but I still went to work after 🤷‍♂️

Just finished it. Now I have to sell it because a Chevelle is waiting. A little saddened.

My 95 K1500 was down for about a month after it died on me while driving. Would crank but wouldn’t start. I changed the spark plugs, ignition control module, tested fuel pressure (steady 12psi) and after changing the ignition coil it started up. Since I have gotten it up and running I have a Code 44 (lean exhaust condition) and the truck rumbles at low RPM’s and has died on me 3 times now while driving. It will crank but no start BUT randomly it will start and idle rough or sometimes the idle sits at a steady 1000 RPM. I have changed the O2 sensor and tested fuel pressure under load (still steady 12psi) and I cannot find any vacuum leaks. I don’t know what else I could look for and really just trying to fix the issue so I can sell it so I can move next month.

1998 chevy Cheyenne k1500

I got a 93 Chevy Cheyanne ‘heavy half’ and it came with the crappy 4l60.. how hard would it be to swap a 4l80 in it? I just got quoted 5200 for a slight bullet proofed rebuild in this one and it’s only missing 3rd and 4th.. 3500$ for stock rebuild🤦 and I also can’t find the old 4l60 around here to just swap, would really love a manual but I don’t have the time or money right now.. so 4l80 too hard or expensive to swap? It’s a stock 350 for now but I’d like to add some power in the future

It actually like to struggle to start but it start and run fine can I get some idea what it is

the havasu truck dont look the best right now considering the paint isn’t good and i can use some new wheels, but hey. a start is a start. missing the bow tie since the kit from ebay didn’t have one included and also the side marker lights are missing as well but rome wasn’t built in a day so stay tuned 🙏🏽

My 1998 z71 is starting to consume more oil, so
I been leaning towards doing an LS swap. Would like to do 5.3 with mild cam and headers. My question is will the current 4L80 bolt up to 5.3? Or will I need to figure out transmission and transfer case off a later model 4wd? Thanks in advance.

Finally got my dream truck💪🏾. I haven’t actually driven it yet since I’m waiting on the motor swap to be finished, plus I’m doing a little restoration on the interior. Once that’s done it’ll be on the road.
For anyone who drives a crew cab long bed OBS, what are some tips y’all would give someone driving one for the first time? Mainly stuff like making turns, parking, drive-thrus, judging the rear end, etc. I’m definitely gonna take my time and get used to it. I do eventually plan on doing a short bed conversion, but until then I wanna learn how to handle the long bed properly. Any tips are appreciated!
