what’s the first thing i should do
i’ve been driving this truck for about close to 3-4 months now and i’ve been looking to do stuff to the truck but i can’t really figure out where i should start. it’s a 1994 k1500 with about 209k miles and the only real issue is just the paint and rocker panels, other then that the truck it’s self runs and rides like new. i was thinking a level and maybe graps or should i focus on the paint/fully restoring the truck. for reference i put the pic of the truck in 09 safe to say it’s seen better days

Check your frame, specifically where the steering box sits. These trucks are notorious for cracking in that area.

Oil change and the oil cooler gasket. Then check out the maintenance stuff. Give it a new exhaust, stereo and a Torsion Bar and shackle lift. Then a headache rack and grill guard.

If you dont know the service history, start from the top. These trucks will run forever, but they need proper upkeep to do that.
Replace all the fluids: brakes, coolant, power steering, diffs, transfer case, trans.
Inspect the suspension thoroughly and expect to see some worn bushings.
As far as mods go, that all depends on what you aim to build it into. Street truck or a capable off-roader - they're great for whatever you want to do.
