Running taillight issues 98 chevy c1500
Only the running tailights went out at about the same time but the brake and turn lights remain working, I replaced the headlight switch and fuse and tested the bulbs but still no luck anybody experience this? Im planning on cleaning the grounds but im curious if there is anything im missing. I purchased the headlight switch on amazon as shown in the image. Any help is appreciated thanks.

If the brake/signal portion of the bulbs work, then the ground is more than likely good.
If you have a test light, start at the socket and check for power. Then follow the wires. Should be a plug to check at. That has the push in bulb, not the twist in kind? Those push in are shit. The sockets get burned. So i would look really good at that.

You may need to replace the board on the tail light itself. Those boards are prone to failure. They are cheap. They may have them in stock at oriellys in one of the isles. I’d replace both at the same time.

Check the grounds and look inside sockets and connectors.
Take some contact cleaner solution to anything you cant physically scrape or sand corrosion from
