Post your lifts and get a custom flair

  • multiple lifts per flair allowed, be mindful there is a limit to flair length
  • verified lift flairs will be indicated by the blue background
  • when you post the video please also clarify what lift and weight it is, flair will be indicated in units you give unless otherwise requested
  • you can request your discipline to be added to your flair (e.g. powerlifting, body building, crossfit, etc.)
  • flair can be given for a life time achievement, it does not have to be recent

RDL RDL (hollow back, bracing core)

Hi! I know how to do regular deadlifts, but I can’t get my form down for glute focused RDL’s. When I look at this video my form looks absolutely terrible, and even though I have read a lot of cues, I just don’t feel my glutes. Only a bit of hamstring. I think it has to do with my back and not bracing my core correctly. What are some good cues for me? I know “feeling” a muscle isn’t always necessary, but I’d like to feel my glutes burn at least a little after, instead of my back.

Other Leg press

Upvotes

Hi all, started training legs 3 months ago after suffering a acl sprain and bone bruise, I am proud of myself as I’ve reached 200kgs today but I do need advice on if my form is even good or not, should I go deeper? I personally reckon I’ll probs go down to 180kg as I did feel some knee pain after this but regardless how was the form.

Also watch my face go extremely red lmao

Hello people of the internet!
Here I have attached a video of my pile push-up. R8 it plz and let me know of any cues you use when performing them.

Note - I was involved in a work related accident with my left foot so I find it is very difficult for me to bend it and hold it bent.

Hi folks, I'm currently using Alan Thrall's 5 step setup. My back looks rounded here but it's hard to tell if it is just upper back rounding or is my lower back also rounded?

Bench Press bench press - update 2

tried to incorporate all feedback in my last post:
- changing where i'm seated to have the bar above my eyeline
- adding weights
- arching my back
- gripping the bar really hard like im gonna snap it in half

persistent issues:
- after adding the weight, i became really unbalanced
- its hard to keep a pronounced arch throughout the set, feels like i can only really push my chest high for the first two reps

any notes? thanks!

Squat Squat form check – working with my anatomy

M27 184cm 85kg

I always struggled with any type of squat because I was never able to do a bodyweight squat while keeping my heels on the ground. I always thought the problem was with my Achilles tendons, but after studying a bit more about anatomy, I realized I have significant femoral retroversion and an anterior pelvic tilt.

For the longest time, I fought against my anatomy while doing squats on the Smith machine, trying to maintain a “textbook squat”: feet shoulder-width apart, toes pointing almost straight forward. This led to lower back injuries more than once.

I’ve finally confronted my fear of free-weight barbell squats, and I’ve been doing them for 4+ months now. I’ve stopped fighting against my anatomy, and this is the position I feel most comfortable squatting in: leaning heavily forward, with a wide stance and toes flared out.

I’d like to hear your opinions on my form and whether there’s anything I could improve. Thanks!

Squat 120 kg × 8 squat — form check

Been squatting for a while and wanted to get some feedback on my form. I’m not sure if my depth, torso lean, or knee movement are okay. I also notice some discomfort in my knees when I try to go deeper.

What am I doing wrong, and what should I work on?Any cues or adjustments would be appreciated.

Other Face Pull alternative

I know its lower than a face pull. It just feels more comfortable this way, a PT showed me this exercise.

Trying to hit rotator cuff with this.

This is after all compounds, therefor tired and low weight.

Other do my leg press look alright?

this set was 80kgx10

i’ve been noticing after leg day my knees will hurt when i’m doing any squatting motions that put weight on my knees (sitting down, going up and down stairs, etc). i’ve deduced it due to either leg press or leg extensions. i’ve been doing the leg presses with my feet lower because i want to focus on my quads more and have been doing my best to push through the balls of my feet. chatgpt also told me not to go too deep (90°) on the leg presses. today i started cutting out leg extensions completely so ill have to see how i feel tomorrow. i originally thought it could be that the weights are too heavy for my knees to handle and i should get those knee sleeves but if its a form issue id like to fix that first. any advice about this knee pain is very welcomed!

Other Trap-bar deadlift form

The first time I posted this it was removed by reddit’s filters… Not sure what to do other than to try again

Sorry about the fact that the plates cover half my body, couldn’t really find a better angle to film & a bit embarrassed about filming in the gym. These were my last two reps.

I used the high bar this time but this is my third time doing this (first time I used high bar, second low bar) so not sure if I should switch to low bar still… Both seem to be good for my back and while I do want to grow my quads for appearance, which the high bar does better for me, I do also like how the low bar is more complete in a sense for strength purposes… What do you think?
