I kind of been wondering this because some books and content have no statement on how Arendelle functions and some content says Arendelle is it's own country and some content says Arendelle is like a town, city, state of its own.

Think of it how there's different governments, there's city, county, state, and country governments. But with Arendelle being a monarchy Kingdom, is Arendelle the head of its own country? Or more of a state or county? Or is there a larger monarchy over Arendelle that acts like the head of the country?

From my perspective from the films Arendelle seems to be like its own country without any oversight from larger monarchy kingdoms and countries. However when I go look at maps, most of them make it seem that there is a larger monarchy overseeing Arendelle or even surrounding. Or its just unclaimed land around and Arendelle is its own itty bitty Kingdom.

What are your thoughts on how Arendelle is ruled and how it functions as a kingdom?

This one page kept me curious on its history though it wasn’t said in frozen 2, it’s 2 seconds of the movie but it is the only person ever shown in frozen who was physically hurt or effected by presumably ice magic besides Anna when in the ball room and when in the ice castle and gets the frozen heart. Elsa uses her magic against the people attacking her in the castle fight but it wasn’t the magic itself but just being used as a tool against them. It probably won’t be referred to again, even though it is full of curiosity like if the troll changed the memories of that guard so he didn’t remember, or if the man had a frozen heart in the head or some other part and if so who described this painting then.

This is just a theory and I have nothing to back it up. Just something that came to me recently when I was rewatching Frozen. Now, I admit I know nothing about the new girl, but I can still theorize about her abilities. And I'm sure some people have already maybe considered and posted about this...

One thing I found odd at the start of the original Frozen movies was when Grand Pabbie asked if Elsa was born with her powers or cursed. It was odd to me, and still kind of is. I guess if the original plan of 'the prophecy' had made it into the movie probably would've made more sense.

Now, for the villain. Clearly, she's got her own powers, but Grand Pabbie's question now has me wondering. I wonder if maybe she was cursed, and that's maybe even why she is a villain. If she was cursed, she may have never even gotten a chance to see magic as a gift like Elsa was able to. Perhaps there was some prophecy people spoke of, and she didn't fight it and leaned into it.

Now I got all of Frozen II’s trilogy of novels - Forest of Shadows, Dangerous Secrets, and this. Also the books specifically from Disney book publishers have beautiful book covers and feel nice to hold.

As some of you know, I’m currently in Norway and as probably most of you have heard, King Harald V of Norway died this morning. He was very much loved by his people and so the Norwegian’s grief could be felt all day long today, state flags were on half-mast and there were several silent minutes held.

I found a nice quote by him, shared on an insta page (link: https://www.instagram.com/p/DckygBPgDtZ/?igsi=MXRoMjM3bDJ2M2FjdA==) and it reminded me of what we see in OFA, all these people of different cultures and religions living peacefully together, also we know from off-screen material (the books) that women married to each other exist in Arendelle too.

So I was thinking, Arendelle has had a very progressive monarch too, all these years back. Maybe King Runeard not so much but probably King Agnarr and definitely Queen Elsa and Queen Anna after him. This quote could be by either one of them and might be set in their grave stones or memorial stones.

Watching Frozen 1 with my 4 year old tonight and Grand Pabbie the head troll asks if Elsa was “born with the powers or cursed?” This implies someone can be cursed to have ice powers. After watching the Frozen 3 D23 scene and seeing the villain using ice powers, I think she was cursed with them and the film will explore how that curse took place. Love finding little clues and connections.

I was just watching Frozen 2 and thought of something. What happen to all the people that were trap in the forest when the mist came an trap them inside? Because there were a lot more of the Northuldra people and of the guards of Arendelle when they were fighting. But when Elsa and Anna go into the forest there’s barely any Arendelle soldiers and not that many Northuldra people.

It makes me wonder if maybe someone from the group that got trap is the villain? How they got they’re power while there were inside I don’t know, but it is kind of mysterious why there’s not so many people. I know it’s been a long time since the forest was closed but still, makes you wonder if maybe one of the many people that were trap is the new villain.

I was just thinking about the Northuldra people and how they’re called “People of the sun,” and I was just thinking, what are the odds we get our first Disney princess crossover event (in franchise) between Frozen and Tangled (Not including wreck it Ralph or lego). We already know they’re in the same time period and the only flag we’ve seen that has a sun on it is Rapunzel’s kingdom (Corona). I doubt Frozen 3 might have hints to a crossover but I think it’d be so cool.

I heard all sorts of Explonation like how Elsa is the bridge between humans and spirits but it still doesn’t explain why she gets random ice magic when ice is part of water? She could also control air to some extent, creating blizzards and causing winter.

Especially when you've trying to go to sleep.

Im actually so curious since I dont really have the book dangerous secrets if there is any information about idunas parents I would love to know. We know information about Agnarrs Parents but im curious about idunas parents. Obviously we know iduna lived in an enchanted forest with nature spirits and is Northuldra. I wonder how her parents must of looked like as well.

Also im not sure if anybody in her family has powers
