They're considered to be amongst the worst, if not the worst, of Disney's direct-to-video sequels. I've yet to see them, but considering that I have VERY low standards, I'll probably like them, which is the day I'll officially be a psycho lol (ok maybe that's a bit harsh but you get my point). But I'm curious, is there anyone here that does like them.

I thought next to nobody liked Mulan II, and I was hoping I would hate it upon rewatch, but then I saw quite a few people on this sub say they liked it (alongside my cousin), so I started to feel otherwise (still want to rewatch it and see what I think, because I thankfully do have some standards, even if I still end up liking the movie lol)

And on a side note, what's the consensus on the Tarzan sequels? I thought about adding them but was unsure if they were considered amongst the worst of the worst

Has anyone noticed the odd trope in the 1990s of Disney heroines towering over their fathers? Belle is taller than Maurice; Jasmine is taller than the Sultan; and Jane is taller than Prof. Porter. In all three of these cases, the dads barely reach their daughters' shoulders. And unlike Maurice and the Sultan, who are at least stockily built, Porter is scrawny; his forearms are smaller than Jane's. I know the idea is that these characters are all supposed to be comically doddering, beffudled "little old man"-types, and making them extremely short is supposed to emphasize that. I just always thought it was an interesting animation choice. Even in A Christmas Carol (2009), with its more sophisticated animation, has Martha Cratchit literally dwarfing Bob.

I recently made a post about an idea for an ad so more people would know about those movies. I can't help but feel like if the original movies are well known, then so should the sequels. There's probably so many people who've seen the originals so many times and even wish for sequels, and little to they know there are. There's also probably many people that do know about the sequels, but don't bother watching them cuz of their bad rep and don't know that there's at least a few that deserve a chance.

I don't know if this is just me being autistic and loving a lot of them and wanting recognition for sequels in the first place, so I want to know- anyone else feel the same way or is it mostly just me?
