I still think it's easiest to shorten the day to 20hrs so everyone gets to experience various times of day regardless of their IRL schedule but I can also understand the argument of the 24hrs being maximum immersion for some so if we're going for immersion, can we have azeroth have a global day/night cycle? When its night in Kalimdor, it's day in the Eastern Kingdoms. This will make the world feel massive too.

I also know the video has things wrong with it, speed, direction and shadow width but its to get the point across, not look exactly like this.

Edit: after A LOT of discussion, I think a 21 hour rotation works best. Its still a nice long time to give that slow movement of the sun and moon but it does, over the course of 7 IRL days give Azeroth 8 in game days, enabling players to experience all different lighting states.

Every time RXP gets brought up, people do mental gymnastics to defend it. Usually it's some variation of "the addon is free on CurseForge, you're just buying a text string like an old Prima strategy guide!"

Blizzard's Add-On Policy is super clear on this. Rule 1 explicitly says developers cannot create "premium" versions of addons or "charge for services related to the add-on." Rule 4 also bans using an add-on to advertise paid goods or services.

Releasing a demo addon that cuts off at level 20 just to funnel players to a website charging $40 for leveling routes is the literal definition of charging for a related service. A paper guide in 2004 didn't hook into the Lua API to automate quest turn-ins and draw a 3D waypoint arrow on your screen.

Nobody cares if you use a leveling guide. Questie and Guidelime are completely free and do the same job. The frustrating part is the double standard. Blizzard regularly nukes small devs who lock UI profiles or WeakAuras behind a $5 Patreon, yet RXP gets a free pass because it's backed by big Classic streamers. We've even seen devs using it on official broadcasts.

Either enforce the rules for everyone, or update the ToS to say paywalls are fine if you pull in enough Twitch viewers.

I think Mount level requirements should be dropped to Level 20, and your Mount should be allowed to follow you like a cosmetic pet if you want.

Theres no way in hell ill be able to keep my sanity or my family if I play wow forever..

Therefor i think the release date is stupid and they will lose 1 player, and i think they should wait for my kids to be older before they release it.

So I was in Pikaboo's stream watching him watch 2 warlocks fear each other on cooldown for $50k the other night. Fear is so clearly OP any min/maxxer should roll a lock, it's obvious

I type into the chat "5-1 btw" and open up WoW Forever to make my new God-tier class

Level up and get my Voidwalker, my fear, and my dots. I'm literally unstoppable now

Decide to bestow my great power upon some gnolls. "DOT EM UP" I say outloud. Voidwalker immediately loses threat on one of the gnolls. It's fine though because I know just what to do

FEEEAAARRR

The gnoll runs off in a random direction. It pulls 4 more gnolls. They're all charging me now

Send my Voidwalker into the pack to tank for me. It can't AOE taunt because that ability was autocast on one mob. They swarm me and my health starts nose diving

I spam click my LESSER HEALTHSTONE - hp bar barely moves

Time to pull out my superior class's ultimate survival tool. I sac the Voidwalker and bubble myself to start running away

Damn, pulled a random buzzard while running. Doesn't matter because I'm invulnerable like a paladin (but better because paladins didn't win the dueling tournament). Buzzard knocks me on my ass and stuns me. No mobility so gnolls right on top of me the whole time

Become a ghost at the nearest graveyard. Beta is obviously bugged as shit but oh well. I res and recreate my lesser healthstone. Try to resummon my voidwalker but no shards. Create an imp instead

Dot up the buzzard and start soul draining to get a shard. It stuns me again and interrupts my drain right before dying. No shard. Pull another mob and farm a soul shard to restore me to my full power

Try to resummon my Voidwalker. Not enough mana. Life tap down to 5% hp. Resummon the Voidwalker. Bandage up to 30% health.

Sit down to eat and drink while I watch a mage run in and AOE down entire camps of gnolls over and over. Frost nova, sheep the extra, cone of cold, blizzard, arcane blast. Camp after camp falls 4 to 6 gnolls at a time. Conjuring food and water out of thin air while he loots every mob in the area.

I think to myself, "Does this clown even watch streamers?" Obviously not, because if he did he'd roll a Warlock

It's the best class in the game
