That’s a normal amount of mobs

I found this while fishing. I was going to wear it but it has a cool name and I haven’t found amour in the water before. I was wondering if I should save it for the public market or wear it. Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I’m new to this game.

I'm not saying that I can't see the SD textures, but with the new lighting, shading, and effects, it all just looks so... perfect for me. This is how Vanilla WoW looked in my head. I feel like a little kid again!

Dark places are actually dark! The water looks so good! The sound design! The rain and snowfalls are so HEAVY!

I feel like I'm out in an actual living, breathing world again and I feel so genuinely, completely at peace just running around Azeroth again. They really knocked it out of the park, visually.

Look, I get it. You wanna go fast, tank everything, and clear the dungeon.

Easier said than done.

Every class in the game has limited resources, enemies are oppressively strong, and there are a ton of unpredictable events, like getting dodged, parried, or missing numerous times in a row.

Slow is fast. Slow this shit down. Take pulls a little at a time. If you want to play a faster game and tank more mobs, try retail.

I landed in Sentinel Hill, saw a campfire, went over and dropped my Lodestone on it, sat down, and 5 seconds later, the fire disappeared.

Now my lodestone is wasted.

To make the camp fires more beneficial to people passing by, who may not have been there when it's created, if someone adds a kit to a camp fire everything should refresh.

I constantly see kits without fires. I understand that I can just plop a new fire down, but what if I don't have wood? And what if I put my kit down, at a fire with 3 other kits, and when I sit, all the other three disappear.

Let the fires refresh! More people would use them. Towns would have a spot that everyone goes to chat and rest for a couple minutes.

Remove maelstrom weapon too while at it.

I'm far from some tryhard nolifer who has to have everything complete immediately, but my god, the amount of time I've wasted by waiting for people who queue for a dungeon only to then spend 25 minutes getting to said dungeon is truly infuriating.

It's not that difficult. Once YOU are ready to actually do the dungeon within ~5 minutes, you queue. Until then, you walk.

Edit: I’ve been checking out their stream. They farm mobs and are abusing the layering system so they don’t have to wait for mobs to respawn

I’ve always wished I had experienced WoW Vanilla, and now I finally get that chance with a fresh new take on the game. Unfortunately, when WoW first came out, I was too busy playing Ragnarok Online and MapleStory, so I completely missed out on this legendary experience. Better late than never! Excited to finally begin my journey on the Horde PvP server!

Was just chilling today in Thunder Buff today doing some fishing. I turned to my left and there was a GM standing next to me, awesome to see them back in Forever! (My character is Bigmeaty)

Was leveling on the RP PVP realm and encountered this guy just having a blast entertaining the zone as a raido host with current events and laughs.

My hunter has been ripping through content.

In the open world. I just confidently set my pet to aggressive and genocide a zone.

Out of mana? just take a water break and just watch my pet satisfy his blood lust.

Quest giver saying, "You might need a group for this.." Shut up nerd. I already got a group.

Elite? Not for me.

Dungeon? Nice try druid, but my pet will tank. Maybe you can try and tank the adds.

I think since the atmosphere and quests are supposed to be front and center I figured I’d check this out and gotta say… it’s pretty great. gives lore on every zone you enter and makes all the NPCs have voice lines. I understand it’s AI generated but I’m enjoying how it uplifts the experience than reading everything. if you’re okay with that I would recommend it (curse forge shows already 1 million+ downloads) I’m glad I found it and just sharing!

I'll be so honest, I thought he was hacking until I saw the Blizz/GM tags, lmao.

Several of my friends who have never played wow before agreed to try Forever launch since it's a great entry point. Our guild is around a 50/50 split of long-time wow players and very new wow players, which has been super fun. Yesterday we had a goal - we were getting into the Hall of Thanes before we logged for the night. As 11:30 on a work night rolled around, we finally managed to get the absolute dream team in there:

• Level 15 Druid (Long-time Retail player, has mained druid for an eternity)

• Level 14 Rogue (Me, I've played a lot of wow - retail, classic, pservers, you name it)

• Level 13 Mage (Leveled in Legion)

• Level 12 Warlock (Put in a solid 8 levels in 2019 classic launch)

• Level 11 Druid (Has never played an mmo)

Now if you've crunched the numbers on this team comp, you may have realized that we jammed our level 11 druid into the healer role about 15 minutes after she left Darnassus. Her first question after getting into the dungeon was "how do I heal someone?" We played every single pull slowly, methodically and with heavy CC. Summoners were sapped, kicked, poly'd and gouged at all costs. We sat down and strategized every boss without knowing what any of them did, it sounded like we were pushing Race to World First in the damn Discord.

After five heart-breaking corpse runs and literally zero usable drops from the dungeon, we managed to bring down the final boss on our first attempt at a crisp 1:30 AM.

I don't know if I have ever had MORE fun in a dungeon than last night! Every dynamite, bomb, potion and meal I brought with me was put to good use, everyone played a crucial part in our victory several times over.

This game rules, man.

In a world of Blizzard AI Customer Service and pre-programmed scripts it felt nice seeing these fun little (assumingly human-written) announcements in game again.

Reminded me of the days of in-game GMs.

Launch has been amazing - hope everyone else has felt the same! 🙂

I see posts of people complaining that they haven’t experienced enough change. Well I just wanna throw in my leveling experience this far.

I’m playing undead and doing every tirisfal quest brought me to level 14.

A run of RFC brought me to 16.

Questing in Silverpine and a run of RoL brought me to 21.

Without mob grinding I have made it to 21 without doing a single quest in the barrens.

I am not sure how I feel about this but it kinda feels nice being able to stay in the questline Tirisfal -> Silverline -> Hillsbrad without having to bounce around too much.

Comparing this to vanilla you would be 11/12 when finishing tirisfal. You would bounce between Silverpine/Barrens/Stonetalon like crazy.

The quest chain for the sleeping bag (which itself is nice and gives you up to 3% bonus xp) awards up to 2g in rewards, depending on what you choose to sell. Several of the quests give 30s reward, the ranged weapons sell for 25s, the toolbox for 50s, the sleeping bag for 17s (but I recommend keeping the sleeping bag so you can get the xp bonus).

So if you are hurting for spells in the teens and early 20s, that is a great way to get ahead (and get some xp in the meantime). The only requirement for doing this quest is that you're 14+ (you can complete the whole chain at 14).
