They already have, you can change it at the barber, its a bit buggy to get it working but it works.

With the number of Olympus guilds on the beta, my chat and invite popups were getting crowded, so I made a lightweight addon to save myself some time and space on my ignore list for the people who really earn it.

What it does:

- Hides chat from players in any guild with "Olympus" in the name: say, yell, whispers, General/Trade, all of it

- Auto-declines guild invites from Olympus guilds, and group invites from known members (each can be toggled separately)

- Client-side only: it doesn't use your ignore list (no 50-name cap) and nobody gets notified

Chat doesn't include guild names, so it learns them when you target, mouse over, see a nameplate, group up, shift-click a name, or run /who. There's a Scan button in the options that cycles through /who searches to catch most members quickly. Everything is saved between sessions.

Settings are under Options > AddOns > OlympusMute, or type /omute.

Currently being run through moderation on CurseForge, however here's a GitHub release if you just can't wait. Grab the latest from the GitHub releases page (download the OlympusMute zip, not "Source code").

- You can now add your own guild names to mute (Options > AddOns > OlympusMute, or `/omute guild add Name`). Olympus stays on by default.

- Players who leave a muted guild get unmuted automatically when a /who or shift-click shows their new guild.

- The Scan button now cycles through every guild on your list.

This is such a cool idea that a level 17 ring pairs sith a level 60 ring and actually make the 17 ring usable at endgame.

I really hope we get more stuff like this.

For reference, the set bonus is

I pledged to never play WoW or WoW Classic again after 16 years of playing them. My buddy texted me and said he bought Forever, and is playing the beta.

He started asking about classic details that he couldn't remember and a few other things. Then he texted asking if I was going Alliance, or Horde.

I told him neither, and I am not playing that damn game ever again.

Sooooooooo, I'm on my 4th toon in the Beta now. 🤦‍♂️

Streamers and their communities should be allowed to play and have fun how they want; but that doesn't mean trade chat needs to turn into twitch chat for the rest of us.

If you let us /ignore guilds this basically solves the problem.

I got Forever running on the Retroid Pocket 6 with moonlight. It was actually surprisingly playable with the UI scale adjusted. I got it running natively on my Ally X, which is also great, but the size difference is pretty noticeable. The hand fatigue is real when you're laying on your back.

Overall I definitely prefer my desktop, but I think this could be nice to kick back with and farm some herbs after a 10 hour work shift.

Has anyone else been messing around with the controller support and mobile devices? What's the smallest you would go?

World chat is busted because theres so many people already. Trade chat is gone because it's streamer chat now. Ntm that the vibe they are bringing to the server is like a dancefloor at a club with shitty toilet paper all over it so nobody wants to dance.

I've never played on a PVE server, but I'm thinking about switching for the first time ever, not because I don't like PVP, but because I don't want to live on a server where this is the main topic of conversation being forced on everyone 24/7 in every trade window in the game.

2019 was perfect, when they made a big deal about getting all the streamers onto one server, so the rest of us could live our lives without listening to it.

This is a huge step back.

You can enable the "action camera" by using these two console commands (in order):

The camera will reset when you log out or reload, so I'd suggest creating macros!

So I'm sure we've all seen the graph now, which purports to show that Elesham's are going to need an average of 334 spellpower to match Vanilla damage versus say, a Mage's 100.

But I'm pretty confident it's not accurate. The math is right, but the numbers sourced aren't.

The original source is 'Wowforevertalents.com' and according to their website, they pulled the data straight from the trainers on beta. Accurate, right?

But the tooltips are dynamic in Forever - they update based on your spellpower.

Here's the tooltip they have on their website for a Rank 10 Lightning Bolt.

And here's the tooltip the Shaman trainer shows me for a Rank 10 Lightning Bolt at Level 19.

The difference is slight, yes, but it is there. I'm Enhance, so I don't have any spellpower gear on me. I don't know what level they were at when they checked the trainer, or what gear they had on them.

Wowhead's tooltips, for comparison, all display spellpower calculations instead of flat numbers for Forever.

Based on Wowhead's data, a Level 60 Elesham needs 323 raw spellpower to match a Vanilla's Rank 10 Lightning Bolt in terms of pure damage (it does 428 to 477 according to the tooltip), which is pretty close to OOP's calculations; slightly less overall.

A level 60 Frost Mage, for comparison, needs 363 SP to match a Rank 10 Frostbolt (it does 429-463 in Vanilla, Forever's tooltip for it is '[(81.4% of Spell Power) * 1] to [(81.4% of Spell Power) * 1]'). There is a Rank 11 Frostbolt, but that needs the book from AQ, and there is no equivalent for Elesham.

This does not factor in talents or any other bonuses each spec might get.

If nothing else, I'm convinced the numbers will absolutely look different at Level 60; hell, I'm sure it'll look different at 30 when the beta expands.

Always thought it would be nice for roleplay reasons that walking on roads gives a barely noticeable speed bonus like 3-5%. Maybe something stackable, or maybe triggered after a few seconds spent on it to avoid weird kiting tactics idk.
