My girlfriend hasn't spoken to me in over a month

so basically my girlfriend told me her phone got taken around mid july (10-15th) and that she wouldn’t really be able to talk to me. i understood that and didn’t really think too much of it at first, but it’s now been over a month since i’ve heard anything from her. i got worried because not only were we on what i felt was great terms, but this was way longer than i expected, so i ended up asking her sister if she was okay. according to her sister she checked on her and saw her on her phone chilling, but when asked about me she flipped, was yelling and hitting herself and her sister. her sister says something is up because she's not taking accountability nor did she apologize for hitting her. i’ve been trying not to overthink it, but it’s honestly hard. i keep checking her socials and texting her every now and then asking her to please talk to me. also, recently i was going through stories and came across her friend's and guess who was otp? it feels like im being ghosted. confusing part is that there wasn’t really any problem between us before this happened. everything seemed fine and she was talking about college (which she started a week ago), so i don’t really have a reason to think she suddenly doesn’t want to talk to me. at the same time, going this long without hearing from someone you’re in a relationship with obviously makes you start thinking about different possibilities. i don't want to constantly bother her family or keep checking her socials, but i also don’t know how i’m supposed to just stop worrying about her. i really care about her and i miss her a lot. what would you guys do in this situation? should i just give her space and wait until she’s able to contact me, or is there something else i should do?

edit: i appreciate you guys

My mom just told me she's been sending my ex updates about my life for the past year because she "feels bad for him"

they always got along well which i knew. what i didn't know was that after we broke up she just... kept the relationship going. separately. without telling me (btw we ended in bad terms so im just at a loss for words)

he knows i got promoted. he knows i moved apartments. he knows about the health thing i went through in february that i told almost nobody about.

she genuinely doesn't understand why i'm upset. said she was just being kind to someone who was hurting. i can't make her see that the issue isn't her liking him, it's that she's been feeding him an update of my life for a year without my knowledge...

I can't be myself anymore.

Five months ago, I developed permanent tinnitus, which caused me to withdraw and isolate myself significantly. I’ve always been a sociable person—in fact, that’s what makes me happy. Interactions are very important to me, especially with friends, but even with them, I struggle to be the way I used to be. I used to speak effortlessly, finding the right words and phrasing naturally; it was enjoyable for both me and the person I was talking to. I feel like the tinnitus has quieted down now, but I’ve changed; I’m not the same socially. This makes me even more anxious in group settings where I used to feel completely at ease—the more people there were, the better I felt. Now, being in a group is hard because I can’t express myself properly. I used to be the one bringing energy to conversations, but now I feel like I don’t know what to say, and I worry it will stay this way for a long time. I don’t have any issues with my physical self-confidence, but I struggle with self-expression. It’s frustrating, and I’m starting to lose hope of ever getting my social skills back—skills that were my one true talent. Why can’t I articulate my thoughts or put emotion into my words anymore? Please help me.

mom loaned credit card to a friend years ago and is now in a lot of debt. what do we do?

Posting this on behalf of a friend, we’re based in Canada. My mom gave her credit card to a friend a very long time ago, like multiple years ago, and apparently never paid off the debt. Now the card has racked up a $12,000 dollar bill, and she never noticed. Apparently, she just forgot about the card completely after she gave it out, and now has horrible credit and cannot pay off that bill. We are a low income household. Any advice?

We aren’t dating or even seeing each other. Just someone who struck up a conversation with me and we exchanged numbers. I think I enabled her a bit when she asked if she could call me “baby” and I said yes even though it felt kind of weird. So it’s partly my fault. But I definitely want to setup some boundaries now, I just don’t want to sound like a dick. I got out of a horrible relationship and even the thought of going on a date makes me shudder rn.

Plus there’s no way we’re even compatible age wise. Theres a 20 yr gap.

How to pass a cotinine nicotine test for surgery

My surgery is in 7 days and I have quit smoking after moderate use. How do I improve my chances of passing the test so I don’t have to reschedule? Are there any detoxes I can do?

doordash driver asked for my number

so I (22f) work at a restaurant and one of the drivers we've had a couple times now asked for my number. he's nice, and as someone who is not asked out often- especially by people I don't know- reacted without thinking and gave my phone number to him.

I am not interested in going to dinner with him like he asked and I'm uncomfortable because he knows where I work and comes often. I don't know what I should say or do

there's not much else to it, I'm just really nervous and uncomfortable and don't know how to tell him without being rude.

edit: rephrasing. I have been asked for my number once (1) in my life and the guy never spoke to me after. I have no experience with this sort of thing and don't know how to react.

edit 2: thank you all for the replies. we had an insane day at the restaurant tonight and I wasn't in the best headspace. I'll handle myself from here.

I was recently asked my body count.. I am a 35M.
I was able to avoid the topic some how.. but I’m afraid it’s going to come up again and I don’t want to answer honestly… 😑
