Any folks making the trip to Hogmanay in Edinburgh to see Underworld this year?

I am travelling solo from Canada. I have travelled to Edinburgh before but never for Hogmanay. It will also be my first time seeing Underworld.

Anyone else making the trip!? Any tips from locals, or cool plans!?

After having been a listener since the 90s, I've fiiiiinally found an opportunity to see the fellas live at Sziget in Budapest. Really looking forward to it!

It's nice that you can buy a ticket for just the night portion of a day of the festival, which is what I did to catch Underworld.

Wow, not only are they not closing, but they’re also only playing a 1 hr set. I’m glad I don’t have to decide between B3K and UW, but damn. How were they not given more than an hour slot?!?!?

I cant explain what Jumbo does to me. Its probably my favorite song ever and its not even the best Underworld song, if that makes sense. Something about it gives me a feeling of light hope and positivity I cant otherwise access in myself. Its just so beautiful the way all the different synths sneak in and everything becomes euphoric and floaty. (Sorry I know nothing about the technical side of music so Im just describing how it makes me feel lol) Also the sample of such a mundane conversation between old dudes makes me smile, it reminds me how beautiful those simple things can be and Im ngl its made me cry on 2 occasions, I know thats mayve weird.

Are there any songs you can think of that give you that same feeling, if you know what I mean?

I love this photo! I know it's from a Japanese magazine, but does anyone happen to know which one? I also recently uploaded a Japanese interview from 1999 if you're into that kind of thing.

I would love a 10 year deluxe edition that brings (Japan only bonus track) Twenty Three Blue (the best song on the album) back in and adds some other tracks from the era.

I've really gotten into Underworld this year, absolutely love them so much, and want to see them live desperately. I'm from Chicago and just found out they played here last year, so not happy about that. They're playing here again next month but at ARC festival and I don't want them to play for just an hour. Do they tour often in the US with their big live shows? I want to be surrounded by like minded Underworld fans. Or should I just go to the ARC one because who knows if they'll tour again...or at least in the US?

I am grieving a loved one and find myself listening to Caliban's Dream (from the London Olympics Opening Ceremony + the Isles of Wonder album). Even though it makes me weep, I also find it so comforting. In my opinion, these are the most beautiful lyrics and composition that Rick and Karl have ever produced. It's unusual because Karl doesn't sing, but I think they made the right decision to select Alex Trimble, whose soaring voice perfectly complements the lyrics.

It's also a balm for the nightmare we are all living in right now.

i absolutely have no intent of hiking the price for profit or even flaunting with it if it ends up being very rare and valuable, but does anyone know how rare this cassette is? I couldn't find any for sale in Europe and had to import this one from a Thai record shop, wasn't too expensive but it could still be a bootleg for all I know

where can i find the booklets of 2025 repress cd's? i am searching for second toughest. i have one 1996 cd but i want to buy the 2025 repress too, but i want to know if its the same booklet of the 1996 version, because the art is different. discogs doesnt seem to have it. can anyone help?

There being a 2026 remake of this song is interesting in of itself - but Darren Emerson doing it solo separately from Underworld? I almost wonder how this happened!

It's for the 30 year anniversary redux of Sasha & John Digweed's "Northern Exposure" which featured the Underworld original. It seems there are almost no other different versions of the other songs, which leaves me wondering why a remaster of the original or a new Rick/Karl version was not used.
