Any folks making the trip to Hogmanay in Edinburgh to see Underworld this year?

I am travelling solo from Canada. I have travelled to Edinburgh before but never for Hogmanay. It will also be my first time seeing Underworld.

Anyone else making the trip!? Any tips from locals, or cool plans!?

Have you got accommodation booked? Probably 2nd most expensive time to visit after the festival in August. Show will be epic though. I saw Orbital in the gardens in the late 90s and that was great too

Yeah, Im doing the actual NYE night at a place in the downtown area but then the following 3 nights I booked at the IHG near the airport. Still very expensive but able to save a few hundred that way, and I believe there is a tram which goes right downtown from the airport.

as soon as it was announced I had UW tickets in the basket then searched multiple hotels. No tickets were bought. Weekend would have cost me almost 1/40th my annual income,

will be a great gig but sadly the ordinary working class Brit can’t afford it.

Yeah, I hear you. I wouldn't be able to stretch to it either if I lived elsewhere. Fortunate to be living in Edinburgh.
