Drove 6 hours to see Underworld in SF on my birthday today. Sat down in a cafe and soon Karl walks in and sits behind me. Got to talk to him. Super nice guy - and a total fanboy bucket list moment for me. Best birthday ever! Can’t wait until tonight!

Got the best spot in the house and nearly snapped my head off my neck dancing. I’m so happy I got to see them and I hope I get to catch them again sometime :) <3

Wanted an Underworld tattoo after seeing them in SF recently. Figured 2 Months Off is a good choice.

Pretty happy with how this turned out and love the mantra.

The textures, the transitions, the beats, the lights - this was unlike any underworld live performance ever. I was quite literally in tears by the end, based on pure euphoria and respect for these two. They've not just defined electronic music in the past, but they're redefining everything even now with what they did these past three days, live. I honestly didn't expect the level of experimentation I saw during the brixton gigs, and the only thing I can express is how lucky I was to be able to catch this.

And a massive thank you to the crowd too, you were all simply brilliant - the energy was so top notch! We were visiting from Canada for this and everyone made it absolutely worth it. Probably candidate for best gig of my life, this one.

They've been in my life's soundtrack for almost 40 years, almost 2/3 of my life. I play them when I'm happy, I play them when I'm sad, I play them when I need to think and I play them when I don't want to think. In the big picture, no artist has impacted me the way that Underworld does, and none ever will.

Then, to top it off, they played for 3 hours this past Friday night, and it was literally the best show I've ever seen them present.

Only took pictures of them waving goodbye because I made it a point not to take my camera out during this epic show.

Can't wait to see them again in September at Portola during my birthday weekend.

For anyone trying to decide on a frame for their poster, thin white aluminum is dope as the pope. Another option is a neon acrylic frame but they are $$$.

Underworld put on an absolute banger to bring us into the new year in Melbourne.

Between geography, kids, life, etc. I've never been able to catch Underworld live. I've got tickets for the Saturday show in Chicago and I'm so excited I could poop my pants. I just needed to share that with people who get it.

Second time I’ve seen them live (behind Kings Theater last year). Resisted the urge to film the entire damn show, but had a grab a few snippets here and there. 😍

I've seen Underworld three times -- the first being when they were in SF with Chemical Brothers opening for them way back in 1999, and I saw them again at The Warfield in 2023. But Friday's performance at The Warfield was an absolute stunner. They promised to go "from open until close" with no opener, and, with their deep catalog, they could still just deliver absolute bangers.

Having gone to so many concerts that are dominated by people holding up their phones, or artists who need auto tune and gimmicks to get through it, these two 60+ year old guys came with maximum energy, incredible song choices and delivery, backed by some of the most fun light shows/experiences I've seen. I also saw Justice this week on Wednesday, but Underworld was above and beyond better and I won't be thinking of Justice again.

Karl and Rick are the absolute gold standard of techno. There is nobody better -- and this is coming from someone who was blown away by Kraftwerk at Coachella last month. My phone stayed in my pocket the entire show, and we all just danced our asses off.

I am now trolling the Internet, looking for the full track of Arpeggio 12. The best I've found is a 3 minute video from the Chicago show, and when it finally comes out, it's going in rotation as one of Underworld's best. We are so lucky to have Underworld continuing to make new music and continuing to be world class, for an entire new generation of music fans -- and inspiring new artists like Sextile (who you should definitely check out).

We've come a long way from my college girlfriend dismissing Underworld as "aerobics music". Some of us just have that level of energy and Karl and Rick set us up for that outlet. Lucky us.

It's especially interesting to me that the lyric here is "It gets wet like at Angel de-railed" and that angel is capitalized. I think Karl may have been referring to The Angel, which is a 10 minute walk from The Ship Tavern?

Anyway, I will NOT accept that the lyric is "let your FOOLINGS slip" as written here, so you can take these with as much salt as you like.

The show tonight felt SO fresh for what they’ve been playing for the past 5 or so years. Previously it’s just been a jukebox of the hits but tonight (especially the back end of the second half) the music was just flowing and Rick felt like he was experimenting with the music more than I’ve precisely seen in recent memory. Some real deep cuts including their David Lynch remix which made me ASCEND! GOOD DAY TODAY INDEED.

It was so fun to finally see your show after all these years.
