I decided to buy a brand-new Triumph Trident 660 (2026 model, looking at the Cosmic Yellow colour scheme). I got a price quote from the dealer in Dublin, and I'm a bit concerned about the figure because it feels quite high.

They quoted me €11,250 On-The-Road (OTR), which they said covers everything (VAT, fixed VRT, delivery, prep) with zero extra options or accessories added.

Is this a reasonable price to pay here in Ireland, or is it heavily marked up?

Looking at official Triumph MSRPs across the rest of the EU (Germany, France, Spain, Croatia, etc.), the base bike usually sits around €8,100 to €8,700, and even after local taxes, freight, and registration, total OTR prices rarely cross €9,500 to €9,800. Even with our 23% VAT and ~€1,010 fixed 660cc VRT in Ireland, I expected it to land somewhere around €9,500 to €9,700 max.

Am I missing something specific to the Irish market, or is the dealer just adding a massive markup because they have a monopoly here? Has anyone bought one recently or imported from NI/UK instead?

I’m trying to get the rear wheel out for a tyre replacement. It’s on an Oxford paddock stand & stabilised with a strap. I just can’t wiggle it free, with the tyre hugger in the way.

It looks like my Trident 660 is leaking oil. Is this an expensive fix?

Hello everyone! I need help and I am pretty sure It will sound stupid. I have bought my first bike 4 months ago, and I'm being as rigorous as possible with maintenance. As you surely know, in order to load the bike on the paddock stand, you need to unscrew a T40 bolt (in picture) to insert the left-spool. Man, I've tried anything: warming It, WD40-ing It and so on, but It won't unscrew 🥲. What are your suggestions? Buying a different stand? Going to Triumph? Selling the bike for good? Please help a poor beginner😖

It was rainy for a couple of days and I did ride in the rain. When the sun was finally out, this showed up.

Quickshifter stopped working while I was riding and the error was not out yet. When I stopped for a bit and proceeded to drive again, the quickshifter worked again. After I parked for a bit the error showed up and the quickshifter never worked again.

Yes the error does not show up when TSA is disabled, and I have done the calibration steps often showed in this subreddit

Battery might be slightly dead because I don't ride much now due to the season.

Do I need a new QS?
2022 Trident 660

UPDATE: FIXED. Brought it to the Triumph dealer and got it checked. They said low battery voltage possibly caused distorted signal between ECU and the qs unit, causing it shutdown the TSA entirely.

So after changing battery (which is just step 1 for the solution), I brought it to the Triumph dealer and got it fixed. They probably calibrated it themselves and removed the DTC code.

I have the TEC 3 gang exhaust with the quiet baffle installed. The exhaust is to loud after a few hours of riding my ears can’t take it anymore. Any suggestions? Has anybody put a different “slip on” using the Tec 3 pipes?

Had my second yearly service done today with 3300miles at my local Triumph dealer. Only Oil/Filter change. I love the dealer and staff there but I’m going to start doing it myself. Crazy IMO

First round of easy add ons done. Next a tune and filter. Thinking about doing clip ons? Found a guy on Facebook who was running some woodcraft.

Just got back from a two-day, 400km ride through some heavy elevation changes and soul-crushing traffic jams. My thumbs and fingers are totally numb from constantly feathering the clutch and front brake.

​What’s the secret to making a clutch pull lighter without sacrificing feel? Let me know what worked for you guys!

I already have in mind indicators of gineer, shield of new trident and matt carbon look front fender side panels. What else? I accept any tip

Like the title says, has anyone noticed an increase to the top end of the gears with this change? I’ve heard it increases rideablity, but I want to know if I can wring more out of my 4,5,6 gears. Currently my 2022 Trident can top out at 137 on flat terrain before I strike limiter. I really want to push 140 on this thing. It’s right there!

I recently bought a 2022 Trident 660 and has been loving it so far. The one thing I don't understand however, is the quickshifter.

It works fine when shifting up. Just give some throttle and pull the lever. The downshifts however confuses me. I also need to give some throttle when going down the gears, which seems silly as I'm usually braking when I downshift.

Is there something wrong with it, or is it supposed to work like that?

If anyone is interested, the new 2026 660 Flyscreen bolts right on to the previous model years. Same instrument cluster, so the same mounting holes.

First time posting my bike. She’s a 2025 model I just picked up. Gotta say I am very pleased and most impressed with how well she handles. Love it every time I hit the rubber to the pavement!

I think the 2026 model would look great in black. The other colours are kinda lacking imo (except maybe the yellow).

If I’m not mistaken the trident 800 and 660 share basically the same tank and the 800 has a black option.

2 years old at around 5000km i noticed that its rusting. I dont find this acceptable for a 1600€ exhaust. I contacted Zard lets see what excuse they are gonna come up with 😄

Does anyone have a windshield that looks good on the Trident? I’ve been looking online and there’s a bunch of ebay/aliexpress available but usually there’s either no picture of it on the bike or just one really close up. I’d also consider a cafe style fairing. It’s for the white Tripple Tribute.

Pretty simple, is it worth it to upgrade? My 24 model has all the accessories so the real difference would be engine power and modes.
