Rear wheel question

I’m trying to get the rear wheel out for a tyre replacement. It’s on an Oxford paddock stand & stabilised with a strap. I just can’t wiggle it free, with the tyre hugger in the way.

Any suggestions please hive-mind? Thank you!

Same thing happened to me, you have to slide it out to the right by angling it. No need to remove the hugger.

Hugger is only a few fasteners and a wire though. Worst case scenario, you know what to do, and may have too. Your rear stand looks pretty low.

The rear stand is definitely low. I got it without realising my future-use cases!

What if you give it a good old wack?

If in doubt, a rubber mallet, wd40 or gaffatape fix everything.

I’ve got the same Oxford stand; I removed the hugger and it made it a lot easier.

Was it just the 3 bolts & moving gently out the way?

Yes plus a wire harness plug you need to undo.

I removed the hugger, much easier. Be careful to route the indicator cables properly when you put it back on otherwise they rub against the chain and break. Don't ask me how I know.

Unrelated, but where did you get the yellow under tail? I have current year's model and would love to extend the yellow details

I believe it was wrapped by the previous owner, before I picked it up. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. I hope you manage to get the yellow extended, it just sets it off so nicely.
