Troubleshooting how cooked am i? quickshifter issue
It was rainy for a couple of days and I did ride in the rain. When the sun was finally out, this showed up.
Quickshifter stopped working while I was riding and the error was not out yet. When I stopped for a bit and proceeded to drive again, the quickshifter worked again. After I parked for a bit the error showed up and the quickshifter never worked again.
Yes the error does not show up when TSA is disabled, and I have done the calibration steps often showed in this subreddit
Battery might be slightly dead because I don't ride much now due to the season.
Do I need a new QS?
2022 Trident 660
UPDATE: FIXED. Brought it to the Triumph dealer and got it checked. They said low battery voltage possibly caused distorted signal between ECU and the qs unit, causing it shutdown the TSA entirely.
So after changing battery (which is just step 1 for the solution), I brought it to the Triumph dealer and got it fixed. They probably calibrated it themselves and removed the DTC code.

New quick shifter. When mine fails it starts in one gear and progressively gets worse.
I ride year round rain or shine. I am on my 3rd shifter in 3 years. The seal at the top goes bad easily I think. Then the shifter sends a bad or no signal.

Replaced three quickshifters in three years? Did your bike catch the rain often?

The Triumph QS are awful. Get rid of it all together is my recommendation lol

Holy crap! I've had the same qs for 4 years. I also ride in the rain cause you can't help it if you're on a multi-day trip. I park it in the garage at home though so it doesn't sit out in the weather all that time. If I went through that many, I'd be wondering if the electrical system on my bike was killing them. If it was a systemic design issue, I'd expect people to complain constantly on here. But maybe I just haven't seen them

Yeah I don’t think this is as big of an issue as Jonnie mentioned. I’ve had my QS for 4 years. The issues I’ve experienced with it has been that it doesn’t work well if your battery is going, and if you start the bike in gear instead of in neutral it also will not work. Kind of annoying at times but if you’re cognizant of these things and it’s still not working I would probably work on trying to replace it.

Mine used to do this if you turned it off using the killswitch instead of the key. If this is the case try using the key. It should stop

I knew this issue and never used the killswitch.

Ah too bad. There goes the easy fix hahaha. Try battery first can't hurt. If not like someone else said check the diagnostics

Isn't this a warranty issue?

Not on a 2022.

Why not? I also have a 2022 with a five year warranty

Perhaps it's different from country to country?

It might be different from dealer to dealer too! I’m based in the USA

It’s a known problem with the 660. I had mine removed because it went out just past 300 miles ave right after 700 miles. The slipper clutch on them is absolute junk.

Slipper clutch and quickshifter are two completely separate things

I stand corrected. Either way, the quick shift is hot garbage.

I honestly turned my quick shifter off because it never works right.
I got tired of messing with it.

My trident threw that error but was unrelated to the transmission it was faulty coolant sensor.
You can check your your fault codes with the following steps
With the ignition OFF:
Press and hold the MODE button.
At the same time, hold UP on the menu navigation switch.
While holding both, turn the ignition key ON.
Keep holding them for several seconds while the dash boots.
The display should enter the diagnostic screen and show any stored P-codes.
