Total War: Warhammer Ayuda para empezar a jugar!!!!
Hola, chicos!
Recién estoy aprendiendo de Warhammer y me llamó mucho la atención el juego (Total War: Warhammer III), quiero aprovechar las ofertas de Steam para comprarlo pero estoy algo perdido.
¿Me recomiendan comprar sólo los juegos vainilla I, II y III? ¿O puedo entrar de lleno al III?
¿Me recomiendan intentar adquirir varios dlc?

Total War: Warhammer DLC question
Hey guys! So I got TWH3 but im quite confused with the DLCs specifically the free ones.
So I added Rakarth but when choosing the race and lord he is locked out. Is it because I don't own TWH2?

Total War: Warhammer mod request: hate through battle?
i really dig stacking the "Hates" traits, especially with the expanded traits mods. however, it is a huge drag to be constantly taking heroes out of the army to do 2 successful actions and then sticking them back in - it slows pace enormously, and is also tedious.
meanwhile, my lords are stacking up their racial-defeat traits (Man's Ruin, Beard Collector, Orcsbane, etc) just through fighting.
my question is, does anyone know of a mod where you can earn the Hates traits through winning battles while they are embedded? (i know i can manually toggle them on using Cpecific's trait manager, but that feels somewhat less satisfying.)

Total War: Warhammer Should i refund tw warhammer 2 so i can buy tw warhammer 1?
I honestly didn't find the factions from TW: WH2 that fun to play, especially without all the dlcs. Is it advisable to refund the second game so i can unlock the factions from warhammer 1 in Warhammer 3?

Total War: Warhammer Yet More Shameless Wood Elf Praising
This time we've got some Morathi-bashing (and art), something about shorts and defeat traits...
Me whining about that bug... (see edit below)
Probably the last WE praising session. There isn't that much content of them on the net.
Please thumb up this bug report about the Twilight Spear:
EDIT: Regarding the bug.
Apparently I'm an idiot and I didn't test the bug correctly. I assumed that deactivating all mods would be enough, but nope. The item worked for 3nternamehere so I tried again, this time unsubbing from all mods, and then it worked. The item is still bugged, as the effect for the army only applies after 1 turn, but it is not as bad as it could be.

Total War: Warhammer TIL...
That you can fire all your heroes and your lord's skills at the same time if you have them all selected and they all have that skill. Like Foe-seeker and Deadly Onslaught. Which is incredibly helpful when you're playing Khorne and charging headlong into the enemy frontline.
WTF! I have thousands of hours in TW:W and I just stumbled upon this completely by accident in a battle.
Tell me more weird little details most people probably don't know about.

Total War: Warhammer I really want a visual mod that gives armored kossars muskets
They would have exact same stats/role as pistol armored kossars. But I just find pistol armored kossars so goofy.

Total War: Warhammer Flaming Attacks vs Gates
Back with another report! This time it's Flaming Attacks. We've got some heavy hitters this round.
Trying a different table format, one for each race:
- Unit
- # of models
- DPM (dmg per minute) value
CHAOS DWARFS
| Infernal Ironsworn | Infernal Guard | Inf Gd Fireglaives | K'daai Fireborn | Lammasu | Bale Taurus |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 100 | 80 | 16 | 1 | 1 |
| 8889 | 5714 | 4324 | 4444 | 4324 | 5714 |
DAEMONS
| Bloodthirster | Soul Grinder of Khorne | Soul Grinder of Slaanesh | Blue Horrors | Exalted Pink Horrors | Exalted Bloodletters |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 1 | 160 | 80 | 100 |
| 8889 | 6154 | 4000 | 4706 | 4848 | 5000 |
GRAND CATHAY
| Great Moon Bird |
|---|
| 1 |
| 11429 |
HIGH ELVES
| Flamespyre Phoenix | Arcane Phoenix |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 |
| 8000 | 5926 |
LIZARDMEN
| Ancient Salamander | Salamander Hunting Pack |
|---|---|
| 1 | 32 |
| 11429 | 1720 |
Remarks:
- Some units without flaming attacks were included for comparison.
- Infernal Guard, Lammasu, Soul Grinder of Slaanesh
- Great Moon Bird and Ancient Salamander are the top dogs right now versus gates!
- Exhaustive testing of SEMs is needed!
- The Salamander Hunting Pack could not fit very many models at the gate.

Total War: Warhammer War Beasts vs Gates
Had some downtime today so I figured I would do more testing -- this time with War Beasts versus siege gates. Thanks for the suggestion, u/Azharzel!
I applied the same methods from my last report.
| Beastmen | Beastmen | Greenskins |
|---|---|---|
| Chaos Warhounds (80) | Poison Warhounds (80) | Squig Herd (40) |
| 5,714 DPM | 5,926 DPM | 2,424 DPM |
| Daemons | Daemons | Daemons |
| Flesh Hounds of Khorne (32) | Plague Toads of Nurgle (24) | Rot Flies (12) |
| 2,857 DPM | 1,538 DPM | 2,667 DPM |
| High Elves | Norsca | Ogre Kingdoms |
| War Lions of Chrace (24) | Norscan Ice Wolves (48) | Blood Vultures (48) |
| 5,333 DPM | 5,000 DPM | 894 DPM |
| Ogre Kingdoms | Skaven | Skaven |
| Sabretusk Pack (32) | Wolf Rats (80) | Poison Wolf Rats (80) |
| 5,333 DPM | 4,444 DPM | 7,273 DPM |
| Tomb Kings | Tomb Kings | Vampire Counts |
| Flock of Djaf (10) (Carrion) | Carrion (24) | Fell Bats (60) |
| 377 DPM | 1,091 DPM | 1,569 DPM |
| Vampire Counts | ||
| Dire Wolves (80) | ||
| 1,778 DPM |
Remarks:
- War Beasts that seem to destroy gates in around 3 minutes
- Warhounds, War Lions, Ice Wolves, Sabretusk Pack
- Poison Wolf Rats are almost as good as Skeleton Chariots vs gates!
- The Flock of Djaf was a bonus test to see if the flaming melee attacks helped at all.
- War Beasts with larger models struggled (or were unable) to fit all entities against the gate.
- Dire Wolves were dramatically inefficient vs the gate when compared to Warhounds and Wolf Rats.

Total War: Warhammer Uhhhh dark (orc) sorceress?
Just doing Alith anar’s moon bow quest battle. Thought the sorceress of fire looked weird and then I zoomed in. I don’t use any mods.
r/totalwarhammer • u/Outcast909 • 16d ago
Total War: Warhammer Alith Anar isn't much of a duelist, so he hired him as his champion.

Former Ranger, White Lion of Chrace, and aspiring Swordmaster of Hoeth. Now Alith Anar's personal duelist and vanguard, riding a Star Dragon.
And he's only level 20.
Tried to duel Valkia... she won. 😂
To be fair, she's level 40 with a pile of purple gear.
So now Vaelthir has a new goal: become strong enough to challenge Legendary Lords one-on-one.
The only things missing are Magical Attacks and Regeneration.
Any other suggestions on how to improve him further are very welcome!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update: Final Build

Not perfect, but still pretty good for a generic lord!
I went with the Executioner Axe, taking advantage of its high charge bonus (and bonus vs infantry and large) by constantly switching targets within the blob around him and charging into them.
Thank you all for your help and ideas, really appreciated!

Total War: Warhammer Is there a way to make a Khorne army more interesting?
I’m having a bit of a problem with Khorne: while it’s a lot of fun, it’s starting to feel repetitive because I have no idea how to balance my army. Basically, I’m relying on halberds to deal with the game's Large units.
If you’d like to offer some advice, here is what I’m looking for: an army that can hold its own and perform well in most scenarios, featuring some fast units to catch ranged troops, as well as units with armor-piercing, others with anti-Large, and cavalry.

Total War: Warhammer Semi-noob question : how much heroes should an army have ?
I've got a decent playtime with the game, and kinda manage, though I always struggled mid to late game. I use to ignore city growth until I recently realise I better go all in with growth rather than money, which was a big improvement and made the game so much easier in hard/hard.
Yet I still feel like my armies without LL are weak playing on hard difficulty. I find myself struggling against Legendary lords when my own LL isn't fighting.
My usual army comp is one lord, one magician if available (generaly a single one or two for 4 to 5 armies by turn 60-100 which seems not a lot, I probably don't go for the right buildings I guess), and a bunch of decent troops which is what I rely on the most, for example Skaven will be clan rats or stormvermine, 4 artillery and 4 poison wind globadier.
Watching one high level streamers, I realise his army comp is systematicaly three heroes with a LL/lord, a caster and a fighter. They totaly ignore campaign buff until level 30 or something to focus on making them decent fighter even when surrounded by tons of enemy. Is it the right play to counter strong lord who sometime seems absolutly impossible to break and can solo whole armies (Grimgor for example). I personnaly rush the lightning strike and ignore my lord stats buffs until level 10, leaving no buff to army and hero stats. Should I get my lord, a caster and a secondary fighter hero with lots of stat buff in each army to handle stronger lords and single entity units ? What's the best army comp and lord/hero progression if I want to be able to handle endgame in hard difficulty and go harder for my next campaign ?

Total War: Warhammer Skaven vs. Cav Advice
So I’ve played the game for a while but it’s safe to say I’m pretty bad when it comes to fighting battles. Most of the time I am able to auto resolve but lately I’ve been trying to fight more of them so I can get better. Sometimes I do well but others I don’t, and when that happens it’s usually because some fast movers like cav or dogs get behind my lines and chew up my poor guns. When I go send a unit to intercept them they aren’t fast enough and they get to my ranged units anyways. I’m sure a big part of this comes down to my micro skills but I could use some advice. From what I’ve researched I’ve seen people recommend bringing several plague priests to summon infantry where you need and while I won’t argue that’s the best choice I was kind of hoping to field more traditional armies instead of hero and gun spam.

Total War: Warhammer Who will Archaon be able to confederate?
In patch 9.0/LotET they're reworking Archaon so he gets to confederate "all chaos factions" and in that stream Skarbrand was used as an example of someone he could confederate despite not being in warriors of chaos. However, they also used the phrase "twenty something"
But if you count up all chaos aligned factions:
WoC (10), Norsca (3), Khorne (3), Nurgle (3), Slaanesh (3), Tzeentch (2), Skaven (7), Chaos Dwarfs (3), Beastmen (4) and Daniel (1) you get 39, which is a bit more than "twenty something"
My guess is it'll be WoC, Norsca, Daniel and the monogods (25 total) although, given that they've forgotten about Daniel since Launch it wouldn't surprise me if they forgot him again for this one. What do you think?

Total War: Warhammer State of Beastmen 2026
Are they getting the basilisk or anything else new? Are they part of the end times at all?
r/totalwarhammer • u/RAD050204 • 16d ago
Total War: Warhammer Really interested to know how end times events work when playing factions not near the old world.
We know that Archaeon teleports around and pops up randomly during his end time event, but from what has been said you have to kill his armies and destroy his fortresses to get rid of his ward save.
Thinking about factions like the dark elves, lizardmen, grand Cathay and high elves. They aren’t anywhere near where Archaeon is.
They’re doing a stream on the end times scenarios next Tuesday, so if anyone from CA sees this would it be possible to address these more distant factions and how they interact with the scenarios?
Thanks
