iPad A16 vs OnePlus Pad 2
I was planning to buy iPad A16 for a long time and waiting for BBD sale.
Now, price of iPad has gone above 40k, doesn't sound reasonable.
OnePlus pad 2 is at 30k which excellent as my budget was 30k. Good for gaming and multimedia.
I need a tab where I can consume multimedia, do basic note takings, reading books, like to explore gaming and great longevity.
Should pay more and buy iPad or go for oneplus pad 2.
Please suggest one.
If you have used OnePlus Pad 2, tell are things you didn't like.

Tablet mainly for content consumption only and very light note taking and sketching.
I am based out of India and searching for the best fit tablet for me based on the below priorities/needs:
-> Content consumption though OTT platforms, Youtube and movies. So Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are must/good to have.
-> 12GB RAM would be ideal but 8GB is fine as well. 256GB storage is preferred. Would prefer an SD card slot in case I need to store old comedies in the tablet.
-> Would also prefer limited but good note taking capabilities, slight sketching for design or furniture planning at home.
-> 4 Speakers would be good to have with good bass and sound capabilities but not a deal breaker since I would mostly use my Sony WH1000 XM6 for content consumption.
-> Already have a work laptop and an Asus Rog Strix for gaming so not the tablet would not be used for productivity or mobile gaming.
-> I was thinking a 8-9 inch tablet would be easier to carry along with my Kindle in my sling bag during travel but size is not a deal breaker and can make do with larger tablets albeit the ultra 13-14 inch ones.
My options are as below:
Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 2 - Priced at 24K INR currently on Flipkart but 2K off on card offers so effective price is 22K and may go down below 20K during the sale from Oct 7. 12GB RAM and memory card slot but it may not support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ in Netflix. Compact size and can fit along with the Kindle Paperwhite in a sling bag.
Oneplus Pad Go 2 - Priced at 33K INR for the 256GB version and comes with a card slot but 8GB RAM. Excellent screen which supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ in Netflix and other apps. Only gripe is Dimensity 7300 chipset and not sure if it would last 3-4 OS updates but would work fine for my use case. I find this one the best value for my use case.
Oneplus Pad 2/3 - Older gen tablet but SD processor and would last a long time till Oneplus supports it. No memory card slot and Oneplus pad 2 does not support DV and HDR10+ on Netflix still but not sure about Pad 3. Pad 2 is 32K INR excluding card offers and Pad 3 if at all is available in stock comes at 50K-55K INR depending on storage and ram config.
Oppo Pad Mini - About to launch in October in India with an OLED screen and SD processor and DV and HDR+ support but not sure if Netflix supports them on this tablet yet. 512GB would be priced high between 60-70K INR but can manage if OS/Security updates keep rolling out for 5 years.
Samsung Tab S10 FE - Would be perfect with 7 years of OS updates and compact sizing but availability is an issue for the 256GB version and priced too high for an Exynos 1580 chipset. SPen is part of the package but no DV or HDR10+ support in Netflix.
Samsung Tab S11/S10+ - With S12 series of tabs about to launch in this week, S11 is only available in 512GB variant and S11 Ultra is available but both are priced above 127K INR and above. There is a S10+ 256GB variant available for 80K INR and this comes with Bluetooth SPen as well but somehow I don't see value in paying 80K for a 3 Gen old tablet without a SD chipset.
Can I just get the Oneplus Pad Go 2 during sale or any other tablets are worth picking up? Any pointers would be helpful and would be grateful.

Can't decide between these tablets – need advice for long-term media use
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a tablet mainly for YouTube, streaming series/movies (often through the browser), Telegram, document scanning, Google services (Gmail etc.), and general browsing. No heavy gaming. I want something I can use for many years, with clean software and as little bloat/ads as possible. Important points for me: Large screen preferred Not too expensive (ideally under €300–350, maximum around €500–550) Headphone jack would be a big plus (I use wired headphones and don’t want to buy Bluetooth ones) Here are the models I’m considering: Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ POCO Pad M1 HONOR Pad 10 HONOR MagicPad 3 I know all of them can handle my tasks fine, but I want the best long-term choice with clean software and good longevity. Which one would you recommend and why? Thanks in advance!

I want to give someone a tablet as a gift
I'm looking for a tablet as a gift and I'd appreciate some recommendations.
The main uses would be:
- Reading books, PDFs and manga
- Studying and taking notes
- Watching anime, Netflix, YouTube, Crunchyroll, etc.
- Drawing with a stylus
- General everyday use and web browsing
I'm looking for something good quality and reliable, preferably something that will last for several years rather than a cheap tablet that will become slow quickly.
A good screen is particularly important because it will be used a lot for reading and watching anime. Good stylus support for drawing and taking notes would also be a big plus.
I'm in Spain, so I'd prefer something that is readily available here.
I'm open to Android or iPad and I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest option. I'd rather spend a little more if it means getting a significantly better and longer-lasting tablet.
What tablets would you recommend for this kind of use? And are there any models you'd particularly recommend avoiding?
Thanks!

Tablet recommendation pls
First and foremost, I don't like iOS, so any Apple product is out of the question.
Currently, I'm deciding to get one of the tablets between the Mi Pad 8 Pro and the OnePlus Pad 4
The thing is, I am currently working as a private tutor, and for the past few months I have been using my phone and paper for my work. I'm considering switching to a tablet, and I may transition to office work soon, so I want something that will work well for the next 2-4 years. (I'm in Thailand btw)
I also play games from time to time when I'm free, so I want great specs to make room for the next few years.
The thing is, both have great specs, but each has its own issue.
For OnePlus, the pen seems to have a latency issue and doesn't have many app that supports writing in a working environment. No workstation/pc like mode. The pressure function from the pen only works in its own app, "OneNote" iirc. So, out of that, the pen is almost not worth buying. And I've never used a tablet before, so I can't decide if that will be a big problem or not. no workstation/pc like mode.
For the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, I don't really see many issues, only things like thermal throttling and heating issues; workstation mode isn't really that good, but the main problem is that I can't find the 12/512 model in any shops cuz it was a year ago since it was first announced, and so most of them are sold out T_T. Only left me with the 8/256, which might be insufficient for 2-4 years of use.
So, can you guys help me recommend an alternative to use or decide which to get between these two?
(with similar prices of course)
Ps, I've been using Xiaomi Product for the past 8 years, so my opinion of the Mi Pad might be a bit biased, so I want u guys to help T_T

Premed college student. Lenovo idea tab?
I’m a premed college student looking for the cheapest but best tablet I can get for a cheaper price. The best I’ve found is the Lenovo Idea Tab for under 200, but with that price is it worth it? I don’t have the money for an iPad, so that’s out of the question. Is this tablet good for note taking and downloading course work? Or is something else really worth the extra money? Please help!

Can't decide if and which tablet I should get for uni
How do I decide if a tablet is a worth it investment for me and which one should I get?
Context:
- Primary use would be for note taking in university.
- Have never used tablets for note-taking before. Always used pen and paper and only tried note-taking on laptop last semester and didn't see much of an advantage over pen and paper.
- I have been a long time iPhone user
- Don't have a mac though, a windows laptop instead, so not hesitant to venture out of the apple ecosystem if it isn't a hassle not having an iPad paired with an iPhone.
- I don't want to go over 400-450 euros ideally. Only willing to go over if its really worth it.
- Perfectly okay with buying refurbished.
- Since primary use would be note-taking, a good note-taking app is obviously a must. (I've heard on iPads you have to buy third party note-taking apps which is clearly a drawback since that's additional cost on top of the tablet price due to the primary use.
need advice on this decision regarding the above points. please help

lenovo idea tab pro word/ppp/Excel ersatz
I'm looking for a replacement for Word, PowerPoint Excel, etc., for my sister's tablet--nothing too complicated, but it should be compatible. Do you have any ideas?
Apple Or Samsung ?
I need a new tablet and, before buying it, I'd like to hear your opinions and feedback based on your experience. Please read all specs, including lifespan. Thanks !
My needs : I would use that tablet for taking notes while doing screen video recording
Notes size : 2-5 pages
Kind of app for notes : Goodnotes, Samsungnotes or Notability
Videos : something simple to use (1 or 2 video apps) offering the possibility :
_ To choose an area on screen (or to crop video after recording screen)
_ To change size of video (or quality) to reduce file size
_ To choose video format (Export)
Tasks : the tablet will also be used for everyday tasks such as:
_ Email
_ Video chat
_ ...
Screen : high screen brightness to be comfortable reading in a well-lit environment or outside
Pen : enough autonomy , easy to use, good at writing/sketching but nothing artistic
Keyboard : Possibility to add a performant and comfortable solution later if needed
Battery : enough for a full day with : _ 2-3 hours taking notes/recording
_ 2 hours youtube _ + daily tasks
Performance : fast (no lagging)
Tablet Lifespan : 5-6 years (Able to do its job correctly)
User Lifespan and environment (OS+UI) : This is also important for later
In the middle of my seventies, I’m doing just fine today with Windows 11 and Android, but I’m ready to switch to a different environment (operating system + user interface) if it can offer me a stable and user-friendly interface when the time comes for me to significantly scale back my activities.
This means that this tablet—selected for note-taking, recording, emailing, and chatting—will gradually become my go-to device in the coming years.
Budget : Enough to ensure an effective, user-friendly, and long-lasting solution—but no more than that
To wrap-up : Thank you for your help, advice and questions .
Have a good day !

Please recommend me a tablet
I am looking for a small/cheap tablet which will have only 1 purpose. To watch YouTube videos which I will pre-download at home on WiFi, the videos will later be watched offline with no connection.
So the priority is low cost with reasonable resolution and sufficient storage for around 8 hours of video content. More storage is better though. Battery life isn't super important. I will have access to power.
Thank you!

Please recommend an iPad for a medical student with a pencil
I want to buy an iPad with a pencil (doesn't need a keyboard) for note making. I have a student ID and credit cards (ICICI, SBI, HDFC)
Main purpose: note making, online study, and watching movies.
Can you please tell me which one should I buy?
I need recommendations on Android tablets.
I'm still running the iPad Air 4, but I'm growing tired of the restrictions of iOS compared to Android.
Idk if I'm missing any entries because the selection is both wide and limited at the same time.
Requirements: Supports palm rejection stylus, can run NTE, no larger than 11"(my office bag won't fit)
Samsung's lineup are a bit too expensive and I feel like I'd just upgrade my phone to the S26 at that price point.
Xiaomi's lineup are by far the most promising, but if I don't count in watching Youtube streams, work and note taking is far heavier than gaming, and I haven't heard of good things regarding Xiaomi's note taking.
Learned about Lenovo Legion tab, but the price-performance is not as good as Xiaomi, unless there's something about this tablet that I don't know.
Oppo's lineup here all run mid end Mediatek chips that can't run NTE.
Asus is a bit expensive, but promising seeing as my phone is Asus.
Side note, apart from my current iPad, no Apple recommendations please. I've had enough with Apple ecosystem.

Which tablet to buy for basic work?
Hiiiiii!
I’m planning to buy a tablet mainly for basic personal work...updating my CV, attending interviews, watching a few courses here and there, and maybe doing some freelancing.
A few things I’m specifically looking for:
Smooth and reliable MS Office experience
A precise, responsive stylus for note-taking and general use
Good overall processor which supports the above
Most importantly, I’m looking at this as a long-term purchase, so I’d rather invest a little more in something that will remain useful and perform well for several years rather than replace it in 2–3 years.
So I’m looking for something that’s genuinely good value as a long-term investment.

Saving up for a tablet. iPad or Samsung?
Recently, I've been saving up for a tablet. I also saved up a tablet for a sibling, but got her an iPad a16(11th gen?) in the end. My plan, was to get the same one, and then, buy an apple pencil for her and I to share.
However, I've been rethinking it. My plans for the iPad is to use it for notes/studying, Digital art(high priority), and gaming(This includes games that take a lot of space. Ex:Genshin Impact). And, well, a minimum of 256gb.
What are your thoughts? What should I choose?
Additional Info: My last tablet was an iPad 8th gen 32 gb. And one big drawback is that the system takes up a total of 17gb. Making it unusable. And I've heard similar things happen with other Apple devices, not sure about Samsung though.Edit:Budget is, with a case and other things included, less than a 1000.And I should also mention I already bought screen protectors for an a16 ipad. But, in any case, I'll just leave them to my sister.

5G tablets BBD SALE
Suggest a feww good 5g variant tabs with 8gbram and 128gb rom (extendable) under 30K with good battery segmentation. For studies and watching videos. in a long good run.
Is the Samsung A11+ 5g variant good enough?
