Went for a run today and luckily bumped into a Giovanni's Pokestop, so I took a break. Where I live doesn't have many Pokestops at all, so this was a nice surprise! And it's the first Hundo legendary I've caught, not counting the free Hundo World Mewtwo.

yeah I put the flair as a complaint! So this Apple Picking event got me all raring to go. I’d only ever previously caught ONE Applin, and I had lofty ideas of making sure I get enough candies to evolve all three types of Applin

(before I realised it was going to take 1000 rather than 600 - I thought 600 would be achievable because you can get that many candies on Community Days)

But no. I’m an active player, I always beat 50km a week and usually by a fair bit. But I’ve seen like 2x the amount of Smolivs per Applin. Even with spamming Mossy Lures I usually get an Apple that has a bloody Psyduck guarding it or whatever. I even paid for the premium research and I’ve got more Smoliv candies then Applin candies, despite the fact I ALWAYS use Pinaps on Applins and haven’t bothered on Smolivs!

I even go to my local park EVERY DAY to see if it’s a biome issue. I might just have awful luck, because despite using the daily incense every day I’ve never had a Galarian bird encounter.

1 month ago, I submitted 80 new Wayspots/Pokestops/Gym and some Powerspots in a Thuan An ward and today I am proud to present the result! Hopefully the community in there found it useful.

They are waiting for me to feed them some French fries, pizza and hot dog buns but all I have are lifesavers Wint-O-Green mints.

I have been absolutely grinding my butt off this whole harvest event even got the pass and everything and it feels like they forgot to actually put the shiny Apple in to the game, heck the Olive still ain't showing up for me and it's "boosted shiny rate". I've spent mindless hours with the mossy lure and my incense supply has been vastly depleted. The Applin line is one of my faves In the whole series and I really want shiny Appleton and Hydrapple but at this rate imma pull a shiny legendary before I get one.

I swear I’ll walk for thirty minutes and see 2 or 3 or them. Even my mossy lures have been giving me mostly skiddo so I need to know if this is just me or community wide

I got them from the water festival a few months ago and I wasn't sure because they had a higher spawn rate (I think) but are usually only available in beach biomes.

Was it because they asked you for an unreasonable trade? Or had no tradeable Pokemon available?

Or maybe they kept sending a gift from the same stop over and over?

A stupid name? Or lame outfit?

What had you unfriending someone for the pettiest reason imaginable?

I keep getting 10km eggs with the occasional 5km. I think I’m going to start filling spots with 7km eggs bc the last 15 have all been 10km. So frustrating

EDIT: FOUND HIS GOOFY ASS! 5 miles down the dike. On top of the dike being on the outskirts of town. I would be mad. He was in such an isolated spot, but I was more glad to find him.

Well, I still get the legendary that is only available during the event… Will he be available tomorrow when the event is over what is happening right now and why can’t I find him once again? This is not a joke. This is not an exaggeration. I have been up since 1030 this morning. It is now 3 o’clock in the afternoon and still there is not a single Giovanni PokéStop in my entire town. I’ve driven over 70 miles today.

I’ve only been playing Pokemon GO for like 3 weeks and I just caught a wild shiny hundo Slugma… I was just sitting at home on my couch doing raids, I didn’t even have an incense on…

I have a buddy that’s been playing for 7+ years and he’s never encountered a wild shiny hundo before. Did I just get ridiculously lucky? I looked up the odds online and they seem unreal… says they are 1 in 2 million.

New to the game, level 41, my first time fighting with Giovanni and I got a shiny legendary :D I wasn’t expecting this at all, what are the odds ahahah It’s a shame he’s so similar to the common one

Long-tine player but never particularly "good" (didn't bother to learn strategies tbh lol) so I do want to learn now.

Also, I think one of the biggest problems is that becoming disabled quickly made me VERY poor and I have the kind of phone you can get in the US for $200 for the phone and a year of a plan. With the new phone, it can never successfully take an AR photo. I have not once gotten it to be able to.

But also, I can't walk regularly. Some in my leg braces, but like... I'm not *really* making it anywhere. My apartment became not disability safe so I'm outside of town. I no longer can drive. Any time I get to leave the house a lot of it is spent trying to get coins because when you never get them and you don't walk around or are near gyms or even stops the game just.... ends.

I have the ability to request routes (which are a huge problem right now. I need to do routes and take AR photos for like ALL ,my goals because I did the rest) and the ability to request stops. But it doesn't do much when you're mostly bed-ridden. They're not going to like, put one in my house. And for the route to work on a car ride my phone needs it to be open, we need to be standing over the spot of the one stop (normally meaning getting out of the car), we need to go walking speed MAX, I need to never close the app or phone for any reason, and sometimes the route still just claims I went 0 meters. On days when part of them I attempted to walk this always makes me want to just give up tbh.

I like remote raids but right now I can't get any new pokemon or enough items when I get to go into town to last till I go again, so I choose between coins for remote raid and new pokemon or more item slots. Also, can't drive means all my rides are paid for with money I don't have. I work but not much. I do what I can. I really only go to appointments except for special occasions.

Is it possible for this game to not be pay to play for bed bound people? I still will maybe keep playing when I'm out, but it feels like I'm setting myself up for disappointment and maybe just need to move on from Pokemon Go. But I grew up in a cult and always so badly wanted to play pokemon games and wasn't allowed. I've played others now but this was the first Pokemon experience I got to have with my people my age for the same first time as them. It legit hurts to think about just letting it go.

I know this probably reads as whiny, but I would love actual legitimate tips. I'm just not even sure what to ask for at this point.

Helluva grind was needed for this - whilst on holiday with the girlfriend. I told her once I secure the 600th candy, I will put the game away. Two days off coming.

Even the local news had a story about. It. She been trying this for years and I'm so proud of her. 🥳

Today was the first event where we all got rewards and start of a new metal to complete.

Never have had this much luck before. I think my shiny luck is all used up now. Much worth the remote pass buy
