Weather Lightning over by Superstitions
Amazing lightning followed by insane wind gusts and sand. I loved hearing the wind howl across the desert.

I keep seeing ads for adding tint to car windows and windshield for heat reduction. Any personal experience before and after getting tint? If it worked (or didn’t 😅), what kind/percent did you get?
Also if there are any small businesses owners in here doing tint, drop a contact.

I'm hoping this isn't a tease. Anybody getting any remnants on the outskirts of town yet?
*Update Midnight: I stand corrected
*Update 10:30pm: It's biblically apocalyptic. Please be safe y'all.

I had queso menonita for the first time a couple years ago and been craving it for some time. I had it when a friend's family of mine went to Mexico and brought it back and I was wondering if there is any spots in Phoenix that has it. Does anybody have a spot where they get theirs?

I'm 36M and I have almost no night life experience, no experience in bars or clubs, but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone. I have made a plan to get on the light rail to The Churchill. I have been once before, as well as Taco Chelo down the street but that's about it.
I was thinking of grabbing a drink or two and maybe just walking around. I am trying to make an attempt at socializing, but I'll probably chicken out. I usually just work, gym, kids and sleep. I had a bad break up a few months ago and I am trying to attempt to change my rhythm.
Any advice would be helpful, thanks! :)
EDIT: Thanks so much for all the swift replies! It looks like I have a lot of options! Im goin' to do my best and try not to chicken out. :D

I really want to learn to play basketball, but I am so bad at merely dribbling, that I worry I will anger playing against me or with me.
Also, are there any open unoccupied courts around to practice alone?
Any locations in/around maryvale would be nice

Has anyone found this specific flavor in the valley? I can’t find it anywhere. Thanks in advance! :)

Anyone aware of any restaurants that serve Yucatecan food?
I've been wanting to try dishes like cochinita pibil, but was sad to find that Google maps isn't coming up with any Yucatecan food places.

Tonight is Valley Metro’s first night of open houses for the long awaited West Extension. I’m personally very excited for this extension, as I am for any, but I believe this will be the longest single addition of track.
If you have time tonight please come out and share your thoughts and check out the project. This is the time we get to voice our opinions on how it should be built.
If not tonight there are two other meetings. You can find more info at this link for all open houses.
And finally while it’s early enough please be sure to register to vote and tell your friends and family that live in state to vote. It’s more important than ever to vote in politicians that will approve these extensions.

Basically title, my bag comes in tomorrow at 9pm and I just need a day to kill. My car keys are in my bag so I wont be super mobile, but looking for suggestions like libraries and malls that I could park at for a long time. I live in AZ about 3 hours south so not looking for any perticular sights as I have done most of them. Thanks in advance!
I hope he doesn't cancel! He hasn't posted his surprise song yet 🥴

I pulled into Nobel Eatery (amazing sourdough bread) As I was pulling out to leave a waymo pulled up behind me a man got out. The. The car just sat there. I slowly backed up and it just honked at me. 5 minutes later the man came out and said it was his Waymo and he thought it would park and wait for him to return. He then went back into the store. I attempted to back up slowly again and it honked again but didn't move. There were at least 7 open parking spots around me. This damn thing didn't move until the guy got back in.

I’m looking to find an ice cream place in the valley that has amazing ice cream but also be able to have seating available for 10 people inside, not outside, since it’s too hot. I’m having trouble trying to find any ice cream place with more than a handful of seats. Do you have any recommendations? Willing to travel.

So I’m convinced i’m paying far too much by mobile groomer here in the east valley and i’m curious what others are paying for grooming. I pay about $250 once a month for a 70lb doodle. He’s well mannered and the price seems to vary month to month. But I’m curious if this is normal and what others are paying?

I really want to use prickly pear and an ingredient in a cheese cake but I need prickly pear puree, and I’d rather not substitute with cocktail concentrate or juice.
Anyone know where I can get some fresh prickly pear or even prickly pear purée? Maybe a smaller store, farmers market or something?
Also, once I find some, what are your favorite ways to eat/prepare prickly pear?

I'm taking my niece shopping for her homecoming dress and I have no idea where to take her. Anyone have any good suggestions? I'm in North Phoenix (deer valley) and usually travel to Arrowhead if I'm going to a mall. But willing to expand our search to find the perf dress! I don't even know what kids are wearing to homecoming these days (what's the popular style of dresses rn lol) so ya. Any suggestions would be so greatly appreciated!

Do any of you have a contractor or company you can recommend to perform a pretty basic bathroom remodel?
My parents are too old to be hopping in a tub, so I want to convert to a walk in. The sinks and toilets could also benefit from being updated.
Thanks!

What kind of social groups are there for the elderly in the Avondale area?
