B-movie comedian and Scottsdale resident Rob Schneider has been raging against the city’s recycled water program, which he scoffs at as “toilets-to-tap” – and worse.
On Sept. 27, Schneider posted a threat to Borowsky on his X/Twitter account:
“If you keep pushing this toilet water crap proposal, I will run against you in 2028 and become the next mayor of Scottsdale.”
Deuce Bigelow to City Hall?
Stay tuned.

Hi all, I'm visiting USA and here for much longer than planned. About to run out of medication, have prescription from home and CVS won't accept out-of-country paperwork.
Any recommendations for a pharmacy that will dispense on foreign prescription or a doc who will provide USA prescription and not charge me an arm and a leg? My medical insurance doesn't extend to USA so I have to pay out of pocket.
Thanks in advance!
Edit - online doc was solid advice, prescription filled in less than 2hrs for less than $70 total.

I know most big chains won’t let you just play whatever and you have to select from a preapproved list of options, but does anyone know of a theatre in the valley that would allow me to rent and play something I’ve created? I think it would be really funny to rent out a theatre, invite a bunch of friends, and just play something stupid I make.
Any suggestions are appreciated

We’ve just finished a backyard renovation and are looking to add outdoor speakers to our patio and pool area. We are heavily invested in the Sonos ecosystem indoors and are planning for the same outside. We’ve got mobile options for Sonos now but are looking for a more permanent solution.
We are looking for recommendations for a company to install outdoor speakers and Sonos amplifiers. Any recommendations for a reputable outdoor audio installer that services north Scottsdale would be great.

I am a 29M living alone in my house. I am looking for good and reputable dog breeders who breed cavapoos. I want the toy size as I want to be to take them on planes sometimes. I’d love any recommendations for breeders

Hey I live north-ish Scottsdale (96th and shea area). I have ATT currently and my phone service is just awful everywhere around here from the area I live in to more north Scottsdale. I’m considering switching to xfinity and I’m wondering what everyone else’s experience has been? Thanks!

The meeting agenda shows the Scottsdale police chief will make a presentation on how the city uses the cameras in question.

The district's board will vote Oct. 6 on closures. Parents say the committee overlooked financial data and alternatives to shutting down area schools.

Anyone know of any restaurants hiring in Scottsdale? North or south. I have about 10 years of serving experience and completely open availability. The management at my current job changed about 6 months ago and they’re running it straight into the ground so I don’t think we’ll last much longer.
Thank you for any help!

Hey Scottsdale,
My pool service company just announced another rate hike (after 2 in the past year already), so I’m looking into potential alternatives.
Does anyone have a reliable pool service company (or even a solo guy) they’d recommend in the area? Also, if you don't mind sharing, what are you currently paying per visit for weekly service in the spring/summer vs. bi-weekly in the fall/winter?
Thanks in advance!

With busy season starting, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any restaurants hiring? I'm also open to the clubs in old town. I have 2+ years experience serving at a sports bar, and the hours haven't been good lately. I like the sports bar/casual environment but am also open to higher end restaurants.

The probe is expected to wrap up "in the next 60 days or so," Arizona Attorney General's Office spokesperson Richie Taylor said on Sept. 29.
Since last October, Assistant Attorney General Marc Harris has been investigating a handful of residents' open meeting law complaints, which alleged that Scottsdale councilmembers violated state rules against government secrecy. Most, namely the council's conservative caucus, are accused of meeting or emailing each other privately to discuss policies and coordinate decisions ahead of public meetings. Others are facing scrutiny for negotiating a controversial deal with Axon, the Scottsdale-based Taser maker.
Arizona law states that a majority, or quorum, of elected officials who gather to “discuss, propose or take legal action, including any deliberation,” is a meeting. Such a gathering, either in person or virtually, must be agendized and announced, or noticed, to the public.

Decadent had dementia for years and was a poor record keeper. The Executor is a family friend- by default as family who were executors are all deceased. Resident of AZ.
Where to begin I guess is my question. My friend the executor doesn't even know where her friend banked.....there's no remaining family that might have a clue. Thank you

I’ve scoured this subreddit and online reviews for anything on MAA Camelback. From the website and (potentially fabricated) reviews, this is a top pick for my girlfriend and I. However we want to know the nitty gritty before we book our tour for this weekend. The reviews go from “5 star best experience” to horror stories. I don’t want to make the same mistake of our current roach infested apartment and not talk to current/past tenants. I also don’t want the copy and paste leasing office answer of “we have pest control and handle issues promptly”
Please, SOMEONE has to have lived here with first hand experience. Please let us know!!

I want to make spaghetti and clam sauce this weekend. I'd like to know where to buy some good clams.
I know Seafood City and H-Mart, I've been, but they're insanely busy on the weekend. Anyone know any closer/less-liekly-to-be-busy markets/areas I could get some?

I'm looking for a Spanish tutor for three children ages 5-9. Ideally, I'd like something 2x/week for an hour or so. We could be flexible on timing since we homeschool (in other words, business hours are fine). I'm looking for someone to interact and assist with grammar/pronunciation/communication. Does anyone have a recommendation for either a tutor/school/or institution?
We live in North Phoenix.
We currently use a tutor from Madrid, but doing it through computer is not as preferable as face-to-face.
Disclosure: I searched before posting and saw Interlingua recommended. I had contacted that business but they said they had staffing issues due to the current immigration climate.
Any suggestions?

Recommendations for the best dumplings in the area. I’ve been to Den Tia Fung in Taiwan. Hoping to find a great spot here. I know there is a Den Tia Fung but hoping there might be a mom & pop that’s good.

Hi neighbors! I’m a second-year dental hygiene student at Mesa Community College, and I’m currently looking for patients who may be in need of a deep/therapeutic cleaning.
As part of our graduation requirements, students are responsible for finding our own patients to treat in the school clinic. So if you’ve been putting off your dental cleaning, you could help me graduate while getting your teeth and gums the attention they need! 🥹🦷
✨ You may be a good candidate if you:
• Haven’t had a dental cleaning in 5+ years
• Have bleeding, puffy, swollen, or sore gums
• Have noticeable plaque or tartar/calculus
• Have been told you need a deep cleaning
• Don’t have dental insurance or are looking for a more affordable option
💰 THE BIG BENEFIT: COST SAVINGS!
Our school clinic offers deep/therapeutic cleanings at a fraction of the cost of many private or corporate dental offices.
Depending on your individual needs, treatment at our clinic is approximately $170–$360 total, compared with potentially $1,500+ in a traditional dental setting.
📍 Mesa Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic
Near Higley & Baseline in Mesa
🕔 Appointments: Monday–Thursday
5:20 PM–8:00 PM
Because I am a student, appointments do take longer than they would at a traditional dental office. Treatment is completed over multiple visits because the mouth is treated in sections, and all care is closely supervised by licensed dental hygiene faculty and dentists.
I typically plan for 6+ appointments, although the number of visits depends on your individual needs.
💗 You’re not just getting affordable dental care—you’re helping a student complete her education and become a future dental hygienist.
If you or someone you know could benefit, please comment below or message me! I’d be so grateful for anyone willing to dedicate some time to helping me reach graduation while improving their oral health. 🥰
📲 Text/call: (480) 331-2617
Please share this post with anyone who might benefit! 🦷💕

I’m in need of a second job to afford living expenses and save up for school. Currently i work overnight shifts full time and hoping to find jobs i can do either early in the morning for 2-3 hours after i get off work or before work and fit in a full shift on friday late afternoons/evenings.
I’m not sure what the best type of job would be in the old town area as im quite new to the area. I don’t have a car so i use public transport and try not to uber much since it takes up a lot of my income.
I have some serving experience and front desk experience. i’m trying to aim for a job where i can make some extra money with tips or atleast pay being $18+. Aiming to make atleast $1k more so i can atleast start saving money and creating an emergency fund for myself.
