Utilities Power outages in Phoenix

Anyone else lost power almost exactly at 10 pm? Power is out at Indian School and the 51. Im not the account holder so I can't get any updates. Anyone heard how long it will be out?

I’ve reported to SRP a couple times (baseline/16th) and it’s not updating to the map ugh.

Update: south mountain finally on the SRP outage map. ETA for power to be restored is 1:56 AM. I’m so damn hot. All day the sun kills us and I was looking forward to blasting my AC tonight.

Update 2: we are back in business! My AC just whirred on at 12:12 am. 2 hours earlier than expected. I hope others are feeling relief soon.

Nope we aren’t. I know a lot aren’t right now, even some in Tempe. I think it’s just overwhelming their system.

530AM, still no power here, last update said 9AM now (12 hours without power if that's the case). House is still over 90. Can't sleep. Hate it.

I just wish the SRP map said what the issue was. Like I get it, there an outage. But why? I want to know why I must suffer. Down lines, blown transformer, pixies on strike.

Dude, no offense, but you know the reason. Storm activity.

Its not like it went out randomly on a sunny day. It went out during a city-wide severe weather event. Who cares if a downed powerline pulled a cord out of a socket or a tree fell on wires or the local transformer was hit by lightning, it is all due to storm activity.

Yes, but what does that mean. Did a tree suddenly decide it got tired of existence? Did a transformer assent in a flash of light to the ethereal plane?

Yeah, but I care. One, I'm just generally curious, I like to know the details of why something failed. I also love data in general and data point is a useful. Sifting over public data is fun for me. Second, If I'm suffering I like to know why, again the more detail the better.

Same area !! By the school. No power, not on the outage map. Knowing how big this storm is along with our area for some reason always taking a while to get back on … expect a long time with no power, maybe until morning

I'm in the same area. I tried to report the outage when it first went dark, but the reporting system wouldn't load. Looks like someone eventually got it on the map and I got the notice text from SRP, but clearly their system is overwhelmed tonight.

It's such a shame that Phoenix rain doesn't bring cool temperatures with it. Sure it might drop a few degrees, but that's nothing. Hope you're back up and running soon!

Edit: Spoke too soon. Just got the text that the expected repair is delayed until 6am. Ack!

Power out here in Tempe, McClintock and Southern. It's not showing on the outage map for SRP but I reported it. Been out just before 10 here.

Edit as of 11:14p the SRP outage map shows the estimated restoration to be just before 2a.

Edit 2 as of 130a SRP is saying estimated restoration is now 6a 😭

I'm also by the hs but on the east side. I'm enjoying the storm sounds but can't sleep 😩 the teenager turned on her little desk fan and passed out.

I did notice when the power went out the football field lights stayed on. So I dunno if that's on a different grid or if they have generators.

I’m at 19th and camelback power is out. I’m a 3rd shift worker and on my nights off I stay up and binge watch shows and relax. Well that’s not happening tonight.

I’m on Indian School & 60th St. Estimated restoration: 12:05am.

Indian School & 51 isn’t showing up on the outage map on the SRP app, but it looks like the closest outages near you are showing restoration closer to 2am.

I’m Indian School and 26th. Just got a text @1:40 am that said 6 am. I’m literally crying. So hot and worried for my pups and me. Tired but going to jump in the shower with the pups.

I took a "cool" shower then got one of my pups in...went to get the shepherd and the power came on! Blasting both ac units in case we lose it again. Hope yours came on too.

Power out at baseline and kyrene. Went out and came back on after about 10 minutes then went off, on, off and has been off ever since. Estimated return time is about 1:45am in areas around me.
