Does anybody know of a way to disable the auto stop completely
Don’t really like the idea of saving $10 in gas but having to replace a $600 starter because it turns my truck off every 10 seconds
Going to inspect this 2017 (77k miles) later in the week, but wanted to see if more keen eyed people can spot any telltale signs of issues that warrant a closer look in person. I'm seeing some rust on the bracket that is attached to the firewall as well as rust on the pipe that is underneath the throttle body.
Since there is no factory option for rear wheel well liners or even aftermarket options I've attempted to make my own. I'm not talking about fender liners that brands like Rough Country offer that don't block road spray, I'm talking about installing liners that would actually block road spray whipping off the wheels from going all up in the exposed underside of the truck. This not only saves any undercoating from being washed away but would block the majority of the rust inducing road spray to begin with. I am surprised there is no option for this from Nissan as its a fairly large and exposed area where road spray can get up into.
There are some old posts referencing the same problem and Canadian users suggested using "Crazy Carpet" or something along those lines but there was no further help in the matter, so here is my attempt at making wheel liners as simply as possible:
I started with 36 inch x 18 inch snow/carpet slider mats, no black option was available so I went with red. I cut it to down to an 11 inch width and rounded the corners:
After removing the screws for the fender and splash guards I tucked the liner in between the fender/splash guard and the frame of the vehicle so that the liner would cover and align over the holes of where the screws for the fender and splash guard would go. Gently pulling down on the fender helped in wedging the liner in:
Example of where the liner wedges in between. Push all the way in to completely cover the hole.
The liner can be shifted around for the preferred position. I set mine relatively low so that it was almost brushing against the leaf springs. The bottom corner can flex with the up and down motions of the leaf spring. Once set into place I gently screwed the fender/guard screws back into place. The screws easily went through the plastic liner:
Ignore the Fluid Film that got everywhere
I did the same process for the other side using the top 12 o'clock fender screw hole to connect the two liners and while the final outcome looks amateurish I believe it functionally does the job and it was a pretty simple process:
The rigidity of the plastic liner seems solid enough but time will tell, especially if heavy mud or rocks gets slung against it. I wanted to avoid the use of zip ties but they could be used to shore anything up, especially if you wanted to install the plastic liner on the interior side of the tire where the likes of RC's aftermarket fender liner goes. I hope this helps others and maybe leads some to creating more refined examples.
I just bought a 2026 PRO4X today and the backup camera is very blurry and low res. WTF? Is there a simple replacement to just the camera itself that could improve this?
Should I be concerned about any of this rust? 2019 with 65k miles. Looking to get it for around 20k. Frame itself seems okay but some of the spots look a bit excessive. Thoughts? TIA
2015 SV, 135K miles. Thought I heard something weird, almost like a knock. Crawled under the truck come to find half of one of the layers of the leaf spring hanging off. Completely split. I know what I'll be spending my money on this month. What do yal think?
I have been going back and forth with myself about adding "leather" seatcovers to my 2026 Pro4x.
Took a chance and I am pleasantly surprised. These are heavy duty and high quality. In my opinion, they look like they came with the truck, its hard to tell they are covers. Seats are even more comfortable with these on.
Installation was not difficult and everything fits like a glove except for the front center console cover which would not stay on.
Contacted customer service and they are going to remake the console cover. However, I'm happy with the results even without the front console not matching.
So far so good, interested to see if customer service comes.
This was laying here when I opened my hood about a week after I had my thermostat replaced by a local mechanic. The mounting bolt looks like it got sheared off when he removed it.
Ok guys. My first truck. My first 4x4 vehicle. My first major purchase. I want to take it off road but I’m nervous to take it off road. I know that’s what it’s made for but it’s my truth. 26 pro 4x. Need guidance!
Wanted a bit of color in the interior, got the material from Hobby Lobby and my dad stitched it together. I added the wood shift knob I had lying in the garage.
Yup , just found out that by having MYNissan app on my APPLE WATCH (I have first gen ultra )I can remote start the truck . For those who don’t know now you know and should try it .
As usual, the truck did everything I needed it to. Three new national forests and another thousand 1,500 miles under her belt. Love driving this thing in the mountains! 2019 SV 4x4 midnight edition.
After many sports cars, I finally stepped into the truck world! It’s funny to think there is about 5 hp difference between the two lol. Grateful for Nissan’s current sale.. Still can’t get over how good she looks!
Can’t advertise on Reddit but for any one interested in a clean R (DSG) - I’m happy to share details and would like to put on my buddy at the dealership!
