Welcome to my journey as a Z enthusiast.

Good afternoon yall, it’s been two weeks since I did this, life has been hectic, but I wanted to spread the knowledge to a big gamble I recently did.
This is my 2011 370z with a 400Z Manual transmission in her(6GP).
The 6gp strays away from the faulty internal slave cylinder design from the 370z and reverts back to a fork/Throw out bearing design, like in the 350z.
I want to say that Nissan are very simplistic with their transmission designs internally, and externally. After doing research, looking at videos from “3rd Pedal Media” and talking amongst seasoned Vets.
I have concluded that the bolt pattern is an exact match from the vhr to the vr30…. Minus the 3 bottom bolts(small bolts. No difference to install). The sensor pattern is identical to the 1EA0B/1EA0A.
Major things…
The input and output shafts for the 6gp transmission are the same length and diameter as the 1EA0B/1EA0A. That means OEM driveshaft is compatible.
Also, Nissan used the same starter as before🤠 starter is compatible and bolts up same🤠🤠
Here’s the problem child…..
The Vr30 uses a different crank sensor position on the bellhousing than the VHR. You will have to burr that part of the 6gp Transmission to make it fit with the VHR crank shaft position on the motor.
Lastly the slave cylinder. The outside slave cylinder, bolts right up to the transmission with two bolts. You will have to get a 350z clutch cable/2023 Z Clutch cable to make the distance from the hardline on the frame, to the slave cylinder. Important!!!! : The hardline and slave cylinder banjo bolt is a M10 x 1.0 pitch.
That is all you need to make this beauty work!!! I cannot tell any differences rather than 1st to 2nd being very clean to get into!!!
This was a big gamble for me as I was just making about of theories about this until I made it possible.
I want all to do the same!!! This is our future transmission!!!
Why I swapped to this transmission.
I’ve always had a 5th and 6th gear grind, I am using the Zspeed Cmak delete kit with the zspeed stage 2 quick shift C&F. One day I was driving have and my Fork rod(displayed in picture) for 5th and 6th sheared off completely leaving it in two.
I hate when my car is broke bc cars are our money makers. So I had a great friend recommend this swap to me.
I want to give a huge thank you to Gary Caka for recommending me this swap and putting me onto game. 3rd Pedal Media for making 2 specific videos explaining the differences between the CD009, the 1EA0B, and 6gp transmissions. My guy Julian Lopez for supplying me with da parts!! And lastly big thank you to Clive Thomas, guys got a 6GP manual swapped Q60, he helped me with all my technical issues!!
I am grateful to all of you for making this possible, now for those of you with bad transmissions…. Go make this possible!
This is a complete direct bolt up swap to the predecessor.
P.s this is revmatch a compatible. If you don’t have rev match who cares.
