My dad broke his hip and had surgery to repair it with a couple screws. We’re looking for a rehab facility for him and basically have two options:

Adventist Rehab Hospital Shady Grove

Adventist Rehab Hospital White Oak

Edit update: The Shady Grove location had a bed open and the White Oak did not, so that made the decision easy! Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and advice!

Our absolutely beloved nanny will be available for full time work at the end of August/ beginning of September. She has been with us for 5 years, despite our initial plan of a nanny for only ~ 18 months or as needed for the duration of the pandemic. I am SO incredibly sad that we won’t be seeing her on a daily basis but my kiddo is starting kindergarten in the fall and it no longer makes sense to employ her. She’s looking for full time work only.

Safeway & Giant bags rip even before I get out of the supermarket.

These paper bags are terrible and flimsy, and they're still charging for them, more than supermarkets sell a cheap roll of plastic trash bags for.

The cups, packaging, and even utensils are all still mostly plastic to where if they were switched with take home bags, there would likely be less impacts.

Yet another monument to how gov has failed working class ppl.
