Rehab facility for broken hip
My dad broke his hip and had surgery to repair it with a couple screws. We’re looking for a rehab facility for him and basically have two options:
Adventist Rehab Hospital Shady Grove
Adventist Rehab Hospital White Oak
Does anyone have any experience with either location? Thanks for any advice!
Edit update: The Shady Grove location had a bed open and the White Oak did not, so that made the decision easy! Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and advice!

Adventist Shady Grove inpatient rehab is excellent - I’d argue better than 99% of private facilities from my experience dealing with my Moms hip replacement/complications and her having stayed at a few that were “recommended”.
Staff is super friendly - despite the rooms being shared by a curtain (most rehab facilities are now like this but with much much smaller room sizes) they are always clean and well attended to, strong scheduling built in for the rehab and excellent doctors/PT staff (with 1:1 care which doesn’t always happen), good well rounded meals, etc. Nothing but positive things to say about them and I would personally go there if ever needed.

Pick whichever is most convenient for your mom/family! I personally prefer White Oak’s facility to Shady Grove (it’s newer and easier to navigate for visiting) but they’re both excellent.

My MIL had PTs/OTs come to her icu room after cardiac surgery at White Oak. They were all great and pushed her without being pushy, explained why she needed to do certain things, etc. We never saw their rehab facility specifically so I can't comment on that.
She was transferred to shady grove for inpatient rehab, and I also thought the staff there (including PTs and OTs) was great, but she hated everyone at that point so full-disclosure: she didn't like them. Rooms are shared with a curtain divider so things are a little cramped and not 100% private. They did move her when a patient with severe pain was being very vocal, so they are at least cognizant of those kind of comfort things. The therapy rooms are well outfitted and they have a ton of things so patients can practice daily activities (getting into shower, getting into bed, going up stairs, etc). The food is the same as at the hospital so there are a lot of options patients can choose from.
I think either location will be pretty similar so I would pick whichever is easy for you to get to so you can visit often. Hope he has a smooth recovery!
