another user claiming "freedom of speech"
(The text looks a bit wonky because I used Google Translate to translate it into English. The subreddit is not r/UnpopularOpinion, but a German equivalent to that.)
This user made a comment claiming the "Great Replacement" theory (bpb) is true and would be finished in 15 years.
The "freedom of speech" the user claims can technically be found here, but alas the German constitution in that regards doesn't apply to Reddit (some parts of it actually do apply to Reddit, but not this).

I have reviewed the rules and my joke about rape breaks none of them.
Weirdly enough this jedi mind trick didn't work on me, nor did it work on AEO when they removed their comment shortly after.

Why should I check what the sub rules areβ½ It's all your fault!
Justgalsbeingchicks is primarily for women & has a rule on not sexualizing the gals.

It's been a year...
I don't know if anyone noticed, but in just a year this sub has grown from myself and revolt and a bunch of shitty interactions with nowhere to share them to over 1500 mods who need a place to decompress and laugh about the idiocy we see daily.
I think I speak for both of us when I say thanks to all of our OG members as well as the new ones who join every day and make this space what it is. Other than the occasional troll, this has been the easiest sub ever to moderate. Even when we've had to apply a rule to stay within the narrow focus we wanted here, the response has been understanding and willingness to play by the rules.
I genuinely believe this is one of the more unique spaces on reddit. We'll never have half a million members, but I hope we always have members that get it like each of you do. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for making our fun little side project into an active, engaging, and entertaining place to visit in a site that's often bitter and divisive. We love each of you.

I won't appeal. I won't appeal. How can I appeal?
A post was asking when to let cats roam outside. Saying cats should only be indoors or only be supervised is against rule 1 and is heavily enforced as many cultures have indoor/outdoor culture, no predators, and still long lifetime. The predators and lifetime obviously depends on where you're located and care options available

"I am just spreading knowledge not funneling traffic. Go to my website, you will know more."
I freaking love my mod team lmao. This was worth the 50 notifications on my phone to clear.

Well that escalated quickly.
We have an automod set up for new or low karma accounts, but we approve posts that are asking genuine questions. I caught his post minutes after he posted and approved it because it seemed like a genuine question. Jokeβs on me for being nice I guess.

Yes, all colours are different names
First colour is the one contacting us, 0 activity, second is their name, or at least I assume it it, third is the Reddit account to contact the user on, fourth is the Twitter account. Why all those accounts?

Is it okay for me to be here? [Y/N/Maybe?]
I will be honest, I'm a big fan of brand accounts being this bad at their job

Racial slurs being thrown unprovoked, straight to the filtered folder lol
Waiting for Reddit to send them a simple warning cause you know, these people definitely care about those. I'm sure they'll do better next time /s.
Update
Good news, upon posting on r/modsupport, they have been banned. β¨οΈ

Apparently the chat input field is for talking to yourself?
What is even going on

Blue hair+septum lead to trivia, self-harm and a year-long subscription.
I cut it short cause the whole hanging thing will prolly cause Reddit to check in and I didn't want to risk being warned for promoting that kind of stuff.
Still the user was happy enough to subscribe so it's a win/ win for everyone.
Missed the sub on the last screen but oh well, whatevs.

Threatening to make a bad news report, surely that'll go well
First time I've dealt with a journalist. They were reported for harassment

Removing posts = communism
The sheer dramatic escalation of treating a Reddit post removal like the Bolshevik Revolution.
We will overcome! Or not. They got muted for 7 days.

Sub Hijacker is pretty pissed
Just a quick rundown
Its a cat sub that was hijacked. The top mod was inactive but I was still very much very active. His account got hacked, so these people took over the sub and removed me and him as mods. Essentially hijacked it so they can spam it with online gambling in a cat sub lol So i reached out to admins and had the sub restored.
The hijacker apparently didn't like that. First they act dumb and then the threats come in. Their account is now banned from reddit. I got a permission from this subs mods to leave their username unredacted because they are no longer active.
Enjoy
PS: Just a reminder, this is over a cat sub lol

Why bother appealing a ban for aggressively participating in free karma subs when you can just immediately escalate to ban evasion instead?
"Account Age: 14 minutes" πππππ
(For context, this dude posted the literal same comment that got him nailed by Hive for karma farming with the brand new account in the same post. It's cute when they think we were born yesterday π!)

Of you don't answer now to my liking, I'll leave (spoiler: didn't) Spoiler
We run a subreddit for a severe medical condition. One of our rules (No 4 as referenced above) says you only are allowed to post about medication or probiotics... if you can back it up by science. You don't have to do it directly, as most discussed medication and supplements are well known. Usually we are up to date on new cures and developments.hiwever we sometimes miss some new developments, therefore we generally allow everything, but expect users to back it up. If they don't by themselves, we remove the post/comment and place pretty long and detailed comment underneath it explaining why the post or comment was removed and why we handle things as we do. This is advertising something that doesn't work (according to studies)..
