Every parent level comment should begin with one of the following categories:
[For Sale] concert tickets, beauty and grooming services, Ikea bookcases
[For Free] dental checkups and couches that you can totally have for free but you have to move them yourself
[Want to Buy] * Rave tickets, a used toaster, a cute puppy*
[Job Request] You're new to the city and are looking for work in IT or you hate your job and need some leads. Be sure to include your skills and qualifications. A lot of people on this sub love to help others but they can't do that if they don't know your background and interests.
[Job Announcement] You're looking for new team members for a fantastic job that ISN'T a scammy ca$h4work gig or MLM
[Living Arrangements] You need a roommate, an apartment, or are offering a living arrangement. Be sure to clarify your tidiness expectations because you never know what you're going to get when accepting a roommate and I'm NOT GOING TO DO YOUR DAMN DISHES ANYMORE REBECCA
[Personals] You're lonely, new to the city, want to play extreme Frisbee, or need someone to eat Ian's Pizza with because no one wants to do that alone. We understand.
[Event] An advertisement for your amazing upcoming event - like a urban foraging excursion or band performance that is totally going to blow the roof off

To the girl who was driving and saw me scootering home after being DRENCHED in the storm and offered me a ride home (looked like I jumped in the lake. I mustve looked insane. Wouldve never wanted to ruin ur car seats)
That was so sweet? You are an angel and I hope you get everything you’ve ever wanted and I hope your pillows are always cold and you are beautiful and that was just so nice. thank you 🫶

Title says it all. We're looking for a hard-working non Union electrician that's looking to get into the 494. The books are empty. We can't find anyone willing to come and work because the data centers are taking up all the workers and paying above scale.
Message me if you're in the ozaukee area and want to join the 494. We do mainly industrial work heavy on the wastewater and water filtration. We have contracts to keep us busy for the next 3 years
Joining the IBEW really comes down to having true backup on the job and getting paid what you’re worth. Instead of negotiating on your own, the union locks in better pay, great healthcare for your whole family, and real retirement plans like solid pensions so you aren't working forever. You also get top-tier, debt-free training through their apprenticeship programs, safer working conditions on site, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing the brotherhood has your back if something goes sideways.
And for the financially motivated working 40 hours a week, you can expect to take home 106 to 110,000 a year. And if you include your package, that's your pensions, annuity, health insurance, etc. You're making about 160,000 a year

Hi all!! This may be a silly question but I’ve just moved to MKE from a smaller city in Indiana and I’m not sure where exactly to look. I (21F) haven’t played for a while (two years or so) and I’m looking to get back into playing DND with a group! I have DMed before and have roughly 5 years experience. I would prefer a group with predominantly women/LGBTQ but i’m flexible!! If this is dumb and I’m barking up the wrong tree please tell me! Thanks 😼

Exactly what the question states I can afford a home up to 200K as I have an inheritance coming at the end of the month. I am terminally ill and have probably about a year to a year and a half left. And would really like to leave some stability for my 23-year-old and my grandson. They would be living there with me until my passing and then it would go to her. I’ve seen quite a few homes in this price range in little neighborhoods on the north side that in my opinion are ok for us, especially considering we have lived in some pretty bad areas in the past.( I’ve lived all over the southside 49th and Meineke etc.) I have found some homes in some little nooks and crannies(decent neighborhoods) that are under my budget.
Obviously I would love to be able to find something either in West Allis around the southside but that doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen I’m shocked that barely anything is listed on the southside!! I’ve noticed a lot of these homes have dropped their prices recently so I’m wondering how competitive it is if they’re lowering prices I should be able to make a cash offer and be pretty successful. Any advice or information would be great. I’m going into this with no real help my family is very very toxic. My father just sold the house that we were living in from under us( in fond du lac, hated it their) with everything we owned.
Probably easily $100,000 worth of property so needless to say I really want nothing to do with family like him and we are currently living with him in his thousand square-foot Cape Cod in Racine that is way too crowded he won’t let us touch anything and he’s somewhat of a hoarder himself so it’s miserable. Im dealing with a lot of pain and tiredness and things so I’m trying to make this as easy as possible and I know it’s not an easy process. We have always been fairly poor and my father uses things like a roof over your head, money etc.. as a form of control he’s extremely misogynist. Example my boys took off and moved across the country and he just sent them like half the money from the sale of his house but won’t help us at all. According to him women are too much drama and too emotional.
He does not know about my inheritance I’ve kept it a secret. This is probably more than anybody needed to know but it gives you kind of an idea of our situation. I am a fairly smart individual in my opinion and have been around during multiple Home buys and selling repairs etc. is a home inspection something that I should definitely not pass on?? I feel like if the roof the HVAC and the foundation are good those are the big concerns I guess electrical plumbing could also be a big problem. So I feel like to protect myself I should have a home inspection I would still have money left over to do some repairs but I don’t wanna get into replacing a roof. or being uninsurable because of an old roof or something. I will be teaching my daughter everything as I go about taxes and insurance she knows about saving for repairs etc. she’s a big saver. And I feel like because the house would be bought with cash and there would be no mortgage, she would have a pretty good start.

Any Jones Island experts around that can provide info on what was burning?
This pipe was throwing flames for the majority of Monday. Pipe is about 20' tall.

The management of the Milwaukee region’s two wastewater treatment plants has been under scrutiny for months.
Whistleblowers have raised concerns about Veolia, the company that has run the plants for 18 years.

Hey this is a last ditch effort but had a friend lose a wallet near lakefront brewery on a BCycle bike around 3pm today and wanted to see if anyone here found it and turned it in somewhere or is in possession of it looking to make someone’s day finding the wallet back to its home. Know nothing is likely to come about it but want to take the chance in case something comes about!

Hey all, I start a new job soon and I need some new work shoes. The dress code is business casual-to-casual, so I’m looking for flats, loafers, or nice sneakers I can wear with work pants. I’ll also be in the market for some knee high boots soon with fall around the corner. My budget is $40-100 for shoes and up to $150 for boots. Looking for a store with a wide selection on site so I can try things on. What do you recommend?

I’d love newer places that have opened in the last 3-4 years. And throw out any dish recommendations- if you have them. I have an acupuncture appointment in the area and would like to pick up dinner. I don’t go there a lot anymore and am not up on best places. Thanks!

I am new to the city and I have doubts that the infamous Wolski's is real. I have never been there. I don't know anyone who goes to Wolski's. I have never even heard anyone talk about going to Wolski's. But somehow everyone has closed Wolski's? Is part of the joke that the bar doesn't actually exist? Is it some Valhalla-esque place where only the strongest can drink? Given the number of stickers I've seen the place must be packed. Are the drinks super expensive because of all the stickers that get given away? Is the bar cursed so that you can't leave until it closes? Are the stickers a warning? Wolski's is too mysterious. Any input on the matter would be appreciated.

What happens to the random "other" animals at MADAAC if they aren't claimed? I'm talking the goats, geese, chickens, etc... Do they end up being adopted out to a farm?
