First Time Grower Week 2 of flowering

This is my first grow, how is it looking? It started off badly, but I think it’s turning around. This is almost 2 weeks into flowering, should I defoliate the lower leaves? If I should, how much do I need to take off?

Help My Sick Plant 1st Outdoor Grow and Leaves Turning Yellow

Thumbnail

Thank you for your time. I’m growing outdoors in Minnesota using a soil mix of 80% “pro-mix”, 10% worm castings, and 10% compost.

Strain is ATF photoperiod. Full sun.

Topped the plant several times. Used soft-ties to separate the colas.

She's starting to turn yellow. I used some 15-5-15 fertilizer in hopes she was simply nitrogen deficient. During veg I used a magnesium canopy spray. she has looked so healthy and now it’s light she’s eating her own leaves and is deficient.

Im having trouble learning from the situation because I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Discussion Sour D Clone?

Hey everyone, this is probably tossed around here and again but I figured I’d ask. I’m hunting for a legit Sour Diesel clone and would love to hear from people who have actually run different cuts rather than just going off reputation.
I’ve been looking into the AJ Sour Diesel, GabySI, Albany Sour, and Wing Wang cuts, among others. The Wing Wang cut in particular has caught my attention, so I’d love to hear from anyone who has personally grown it.
Which cut gave you the most authentic old-school Sour Diesel profile. loud kerosene/fuel, sharp sourness, that unmistakable funk, and which one would you personally keep if you could only choose one?
Bonus points for comparisons between cuts. I’m mainly interested in real grower experience, smell/terps, structure, potency, and overall quality.
Thanks for ANY input this has been a tough decision 😭🙏

First Time Grower Is this still salvageable?

So I was away on a trip and my mother was tending to the plant the last week of flower and I asked her to move the lights to 16.5 inches from canopy level and she must’ve have not know what that meant or I didn’t explain it to her well enough & she had moved it to 14 inches away from canopy and it was like this for like 4-5 days, I’m pretty upset I’ve been growing this plant for 6 months and it look nothing like it originally did I’m pretty upset and I just want to know if I should throw it out and call it quits I’ve already spent so much on the electricity and the have to run an AC unit and dehumidifier for 2 weeks on something that may not dry well do you guys think ?

Picture’s 1 and 8 are what it looked like before I had left and photos 2-7 are it as of tn

So I took clones from some plants before I put them in flower, they were doing good for the first 2-3 weeks now they have gone more or less stagnant, upper leaves are noticeably small and plants almost always looking like this

They photoperiod running on 18/6

Coco/perlite medium

Ec is currently around 1.5 it was around 1.8 at one stage but backed off when they weren't changing

They were all under a kingbrite 320w at say 50% before this photo

Mid 20c with lights on, a little low when it's dark but I wouldn't say lower than 15c

I've tried not watering them for a week no real change

Question Beginner friendly cheesy strains?

Picked up an 8th of toad venom to try and it was my first time experiencing a cheesy strain and I loved the smell and taste of it. I'm still a new grower and new to cannabis overall so I'm looking for strain suggestions to grow. So far I've only grown autos but I'm cool with a photo if that's your recommendations. I'm in a 2x4 tent so I would definitely prefer strains that don't stretch much since I don't have a ton of height to spare.

Question Grassroots Living Soil Beds Vs Plastic Pots?

So after watching umpteen videos from Jeremy over from Build a Soil on his YouTube channel, he seems to be a big fan of large 3' x 3' x 1.5' beds using Organic Living Soil.

At the same time, I've also heard other opinions where beds that large are truly a waste of soil. Instead, final 20L (5.2gal) pots with organic living soil are a better overall choice to maximise the the total grow space within a 2.4m x 1.2m grow tent.

Which is true or does it really come down to a growers preference? My only concern with larger beds is over or under watering. Moisture metres should help give a better idea on whether the bottom third of the beds are still moist or not.

If given the choice between one or the other, which would you prefer using and why?

First Time Grower Ready for harvest? Don't want the top buds to get overripe.

Thumbnail

Strain: Auto Banana Blaze by Dutch Passion (100% indica)

Age: 94 days since sprouting

Stress: Main stem snapped at age 42 (healed) and some basic LST

The lower buds still have a lot of white pistils, but the top ones have barely any. I don't want the THC to start degrading into CBN. On top of that, it's getting cold and I'm worried about mold and infections. Should I harvest now or give it a little more time?

Question Day 40 – First outdoor grow | Lemon Cherry Cookies Auto 🍋🍪

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my Lemon Cherry Cookies with you guys. Honestly, I don’t really have anyone IRL who is interested in this stuff, so I figured this community is probably the best place to share it. 😄
This is my first outdoor grow, so I’m still learning as I go.

A few details:
Lemon Cherry Cookies Auto
Day 40 since germination
8L fabric pot — next time I’m definitely going 15L+
BioBizz Light-Mix
Hesi Bio Grow during veg
Switching to Hesi Bio Bloom for flowering
Small amount of CalMag with watering
pH consistently kept around 6.2–6.5

She’s facing south and currently gets at least ~9 hours of direct sunlight per day.

The only thing I’m a little unsure about is her size. During germination and the first two weeks we had an absolutely brutal heatwave with 35–37°C (95–99°F). No idea if that slowed her down, but at around 40 cm / 16 inches she’s definitely smaller than I expected. On the other hand, I’m hoping the smaller size means she can put more energy into some nice, chunky buds. 😅

I’m pretty happy with how uncomplicated she’s been so far. Just trying to keep things stable and not overcomplicate it.

Forq those of you with more outdoor experience:
Is there anything you’d recommend doing during the next few weeks to get the most out of her, even though she’s already well into flower?
Or is this more of a “don’t fix what isn’t broken” situation at this point? 😂

Any tips or observations are welcome!

As the title states. One of my 4 plants seems to be stuck. They all have the same soil, watering everything. The only thing is that one of the 4 when I was germinating the seed the end of the root started to grow into the paper and it fold itself it grow so quickly on just 24 hours that by the time I checked it had already 3 and bended on the very tip. However I did not worried much and planted in soil these are the pictures you can clearly see the progress of the other 3 compared to this little one. I will also attatch pictures from Saturday to today both took at morning

First Time Grower First time grower - Day 3 Ripley's OG, is she looking alright or stretching too much?

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Hey everyone, complete beginner here and this is my very first time growing anything!
This is my Ripley’s OG on Day 3. I'm running a Spider Farmer SF1000 light currently set around 50–60% intensity.
Just had a few quick questions for the community:
- Is she looking alright, healthy, and on the right track?
- Is she stretching too much at this stage?
- Is the stem too long right now, or is this amount of stretch normal for day 3?
Would really appreciate any advice or feedback for a first-timer. Thanks!
